Meaning In Life:The Study of Ecclesiastes
part 38

Ecclesiastes 11.10
Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.

When we become adults we are told to put away childish things - for they no longer will serve us well in adulthood - but I would like to challange that notion - these days it seems people are growing up slower in some ways - but quick in others - God wants us to have a child like faith -not a childish faith - I say people are slowing in their growing because of the economy - many families are delaying having children - many children old enough to leave home are staying - and people get married at an older age these days - instead of before collage - it's after - this moves everything later and later -what's my point? Spiritual it's becoming the same thing - many have left their faith of their childhood and have gone out on their own to do their own thing - meanwhile leaving God in the past - many no longer walk within the walls and ways of their faith growing up - college often takes the young adult on a path that often ends away from the church - this should not be - we have spiritually imaturity running wild these days- we passed through the 80's me generation to the I have to have it now 21st Century - there is nothing new under the sun - the past has shown us when a nation turns their back on God destruction follows - this is very sad - we must grow up in Christ - HE wants us to be mature - HE wants us to live without sorrow - He wants mature faith that follows after HIM no matter what - allow CHRIST to grow you into HIS imagie so we can be more and more like him and less and less like we were - Jesus wants us to be mature - He who began this work in us will complete it! amen!

BUILDING MOMENT: When we are not wieghed down by sorrow we can sour on the wings of Eagles - let the past be just what it is - past!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because we have CHRIST - our past is forgiven and our future glorious!
