Conform/Transform

Romans 12:2
...And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God!

This verse was placed on my heart on my drive home from taking my brother-in-law Michael home - God just griped my heart with this verse this afternoon -
I have been dealing with some things in my life lately and I felt God say that He said I no longer have to conform to the ideas of this world -the world might look at my life and question why I do what I do - they would leave out JESUS CHRIST - the whole reason for my existence - I feel like its a battle out there for all of us - the world says one thing - while God says another - who are we gonna listen to? The world is pulling at us each and every day - many have fallen prey to the desires of the flesh and have turned their back on the spiritual side of their lives - many feel to be popular and well received we must conform to this world - but God plainly says in His Word that He wants to transform us - we cannot be friends with the world and expect them to hear the gospel - not that we are not to preach the good news to the masses around us - but that we must distance ourselves from the world around us - remember we are in the world but not of the world -and when I say distance ourselves I mean not to give into what the world wants at the expense of what God wants -
We are either conforming or transforming to those around us - God wants to give you a brand new life -the mistakes of the past have been nailed to the cross - take this grace - and let God put it in your heart - Let's do as today's verse says - to be conformed no longer to this world but to be transformed by God - so that we can be used in the process to change the world!
Let's transform the world with God's power living inside of us!
We are to be living sacrifices -- let's live for JESUS!

BUILDING MOMENT: LET GOT TRANSFORM YOUR MIND AND HEART!
Because we have CHRIST - we are transformed and have a new life!

IF WE CONFORM TO THIS WORLD - GOD CANNOT TRANSFORM US!
