THE DAILY BLUEPRINT FOR 7-27-06
THE REMNANT
JOEL 2:32
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call!
Please forgive me for I am not a bible scholar -and I do not believe God called me because I knew the Bible inside and out -that being said -I can recall in the WORD about a situation in which the Lord God was asked about whether or not to destroy a city - I am sure of the story but the address is not too clear - but I know its in the Word- God was asked over and over how many people would it take turning their back on God to cause Him to destroy it - I believe that God said if just one was righteous He would spare the city - all this brings us to today's verse -
The remnant are those few people who still trust in the Lord- its sad news I know - but unlike what I used to think -that everyone would be saved - ive come to the realization that many do not trust in the Lord - just take a look on any street in any city in America - and ask them if they know JESUS - it would be a gloomy testimony - I do not say this to bring everyone down -but just to be real honest- today in America- and in the rest of the world -there is a remnant of people who trust in the LORD - many have gone totally against God and done their own thing -still others completely doubt HIS existence- but there are those who fully trust in the LORD -who really live the life -who are the salt of the earth and a city on a Hill - the fields however are full -the harvest is ready but the workers are few - we must be about our Father's business - we must be the lights to this dark world - to shed some light on who JESUS is - if we say we trust JESUS and He saved us - is our lives reflecting that? We must remember we are part of the remnant - we must trust JESUS at all costs - we may be few - but in CHRIST we are a mighty nation! A nation of love -of faith and of hope!
Let's be the bright shining city on the hill God has called us to be!
A side note: In this world there are many "religions" - many feel there are many roads to the Kingdom of God - just pick and chose the one that is right for you -and be done with it - It is not the blatant sin we must worry about - but the hidden sin - the sin of pride -of arrogance and of being in control of your life -leaving God out of the picture - JESUS said HE was the only way to the FATHER - HE gave no short cuts - we either follow HIM or get left behind!
When you live in CHRIST your light shines brightly!
