NOT THE FLESH
JEREMIAH 17:5,7
Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man that trusts in man, and makes his flesh his arm, and who's heart departs from the Lord . . . Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope the Lord is!
Today we are dealing with a major contrast,those who trust in themselves and those that trust in the Lord - let me say this before we begin - it must be said that God wants us to be people of action -He does not want us to sit back and do nothing -even in our times of waiting on the Lord -HE wants us to be active - that being said - we must trust in the LORD to do the work that He has called us to do - we must put our hand to the plow but look to God to do the work! When problems arise in our lives -we see really quickly where our trust lies - if we are quick to do this or that without consulting the Lord -we are not trusting in Him - sometimes people will see us and think our inactivity means we are lazy or don't really care -but this is not true of those who trust in the LORD - when we trust HIM we must know HIM - how can you trust someone you do not know? Our relationship with Christ should always come before any problem we have - God has some harsh words for those who trust in themselves and other men -but fail to trust Him - God did not make us to worship others of flesh -but the God of wonder- He wants to see if we really trust Him - and the funny thing is the world is looking for the same thing -do we believe what God has said and act upon it - or do we act like it all depends on us - if you hope -your faith - your life is at the hands of men - you need to look up - humans cannot save us - they cannot do what God has done - we must trust in God and not in the flesh! Where does your hope lie?
A side note: If we say we trust the LORD but act like we don't -what does that say to the lost and dying world around us - If God has said it -we must believe it and act upon it - Faith without works is dead-

Please pray for Andrew - this is a new born baby boy - his Mom was bleeding uncontrollably before his birth - both baby and Mom have survived - the baby taken by emergency c-section and right now has a 40% chance of survival - this is the couple's first child -UPDATE: The baby is fastly improving and may even got home before his Mother-thanks for your prayers- they bring hope!
