IN HIM WE HOPE

PSALM 38:15
For in You, Lord, do I hope: You will hear, Lord my God!

Let's face the facts -many put their trust in many things- we put our trust in the builder of our house -in the bridges we cross every day - we put our trust in many things - but all this trust won't get us anywhere -what will cause us to live the life is to believe that God is our only hope - that all we need is Him! This takes mature faith -it takes the kind of faith that can move mountains - not milk here - but solid meat! Where do you place your hope? We may hope in a better job - more money - a bigger house -but all that will be in vain -for God what we have need of before we even ask - we must place our hope in JESUS and HIM alone!
He is our only deliverer! The LORD our GOD is the SAVIOR of all!
When we place our trust in HIM we no longer have to worry about pleasing everyone - only Him! He is our Lord and Savior- the price HE paid for our salvation was very high - lets not forget that - the days in which we live are filled with crime -hate -and war - these times in the physical don't seem all to good -but we need to wait on the LORD -He will cause us to fly above the problems of this old world - in which is passing away! When we place all our hope in JESUS we are in it for the long haul! One day when we leave this old place -we will be in HIS presence - none of us know when - but the day is coming! Is your hope in anything other then JESUS - if so - we focus your life - Ask HIM too and HE will come into your heart and give you hope in HIM!


A side note: When our hope is in the LORD - we have nothing to fear - we have nothing to lose! PRAISE GOD! Our only hope is JESUS!

HEBREWS WALK #15

HEBREWS 2:3
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed by them that heard Him!

Our salvation is a precious and priceless gift from God to His creation -we must not neglect this - by this I do not mean we have to work to stay saved -what it means I believe is that we should never ever forget the cost of our salvation -it cost JESUS CHRIST everything -and HE was willing to do so for all of us -and would have done it if only one of us existed - and JESUS did this before we ever even knew Him - He did it while we were still dead in our sins - JESUS came and willingly died for us - HE gave HIS life to save us! Praise God -We must not forget that it was not free for JESUS - the cost was very high! God the Father had to turn HIS back on HIS SON - this had never happened and will never happen again -JESUS paid it all in full -there is no charge left -its been paid off - you know the feeling when you pay of a loan that has been looming over you for years? This is what it felt like to JESUS -to be sure JESUS had to suffer - and suffered HE did -He was so beaten and blooded that HE was hardly recognizable as a human being - many of you may have seen the PASSION of the CHRIST -and saw how gruesome it looked on the screen - I am here to tell you it was actually so bad when it happened that what they showed in that movie could not even scratch the surface - apart from the Physical pain -there was spiritual death for Jesus -HE took our place- lets not neglect what God has done for us - lets listen to the confirmation of those around us that testify of the truth that God so loved the world - He gave HIS only SON!
Praise God!

A side note: we cannot escape our sin apart from the shed blood of CHRIST - The only way to know HIM is to trust in HIM fully -
JESUS died so we could live -we live because CHRIST died!

When we live in CHRIST a new life begins!

THE REMNANT

JOEL 2:32
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call!

Please forgive me for I am not a bible scholar -and I do not believe God called me because I knew the Bible inside and out -that being said -I can recall in the WORD about a situation in which the Lord God was asked about whether or not to destroy a city - I am sure of the story but the address is not too clear - but I know its in the Word- God was asked over and over how many people would it take turning their back on God to cause Him to destroy it - I believe that God said if just one was righteous He would spare the city - all this brings us to today's verse -
The remnant are those few people who still trust in the Lord- its sad news I know - but unlike what I used to think -that everyone would be saved - ive come to the realization that many do not trust in the Lord - just take a look on any street in any city in America - and ask them if they know JESUS - it would be a gloomy testimony - I do not say this to bring everyone down -but just to be real honest- today in America- and in the rest of the world -there is a remnant of people who trust in the LORD - many have gone totally against God and done their own thing -still others completely doubt HIS existence- but there are those who fully trust in the LORD -who really live the life -who are the salt of the earth and a city on a Hill - the fields however are full -the harvest is ready but the workers are few - we must be about our Father's business - we must be the lights to this dark world - to shed some light on who JESUS is - if we say we trust JESUS and He saved us - is our lives reflecting that? We must remember we are part of the remnant - we must trust JESUS at all costs - we may be few - but in CHRIST we are a mighty nation! A nation of love -of faith and of hope!
Let's be the bright shining city on the hill God has called us to be!

A side note: In this world there are many "religions" - many feel there are many roads to the Kingdom of God - just pick and chose the one that is right for you -and be done with it - It is not the blatant sin we must worry about - but the hidden sin - the sin of pride -of arrogance and of being in control of your life -leaving God out of the picture - JESUS said HE was the only way to the FATHER - HE gave no short cuts - we either follow HIM or get left behind!

HEBREWS WALK #14

HEBREWS 2:2
For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast,
and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward. .
.
As we walk though the book of Hebrews -its important to
know that Paul had a specific reason for writing it - He wanted his readers to
know how much greater our Lord - Jesus Christ - was then the angels that God had
made - Jesus came to save our souls from death - He brought us life - He served
the Father as only the Son could - the angels on the other hand were created to
serve God - that is what they do - they have a free will just like we do -they
can either praise the LORD or get lost - that's it - that was satan's
problem - pride -he did not want to be like God but wanted to be God!
There is only one God and one God alone -there is no room for more then One -
once you know JESUS - you know the FATHER! The angels of heaven know the
WORD of GOD inside and out - they are God's spokesmen - they speak the truth of
God at all times - When the angels announced the coming of Jesus- they
spoke the truth- while sometimes painful -the truth is always the best way to go
-
According to the Word of God -no sin goes unpunished- sure we are forgiven
by the blood of the Lamb - but all sin has consequences - sometimes God spares
us from them -at other times He lets them get right at us - either way He always
does it just right - we cannot live in a vacuum - and just when you think you
are safe from sin and that you have master it - be careful - what we think we
master can master us - be sure you have given it all to JESUS and live in HIM
and though Him -Temptation is around every corner -but this does not mean we
have to give it! JESUS lived the life- let HIM Live it in you! Amen!

A side note: God can see around corners -HE knows what is
coming - we get full of ourselves and think we have sin beat -but we cannot beat
sin without the blood of JESUS - Jesus takes away death and the penalty of sin -
let' s praise JESUS!

When we live in CHRIST sin no longer has a hold on us!

Psalm Walk - 91 - part 8

(Evil Reward)

Psalm 91:8
Only with your eyes shall you behold and
see the reward of the wicked.

The world in which we live is full of sin and evilness - People cannot be fully trusted like God can be trusted -God always has our best interests at heart - This does not mean He must let us have our way - we must be in His will and submit to His authority - if we will do this -we will not have to face punishment - God does punish those He loves! He corrects us when we go the wrong way - just a like a mother and father do for a child - we must submit to God if we want the rewards of righteousness - this is not earning our salvation - that has already been done - the day to day submitance we must have comes only through and In Christ - through the work of the Holy Spirit and the revealing of His will through bible study and prayer can we submit to Him - its not natural - our flesh wants what it wants now - there is no waiting for the flesh- but in the Spirit we can wait forever!

Each day we see evil all around us - and sometimes it seems those who commit this evil go unpunished - we begin to wonder why they can leave in rebellion and still seem to have many blessings - but its not a blessing we see but a curse - its their reward - they get to do what they want but in the end lose their soul - its so sad - we must pray for our enemies - we must love them - if we do this - God will use us to bring them to salvation - and if we say they are too far gone we deny what God did through His Son on the cross - If God can save me - He can save anyone! You see I thought I was good enough for God - but I was not later I found - I was a sinner and now I am a sinner saved - We must not gloat when the wicked get their reward - but we are to be saddened by this - God is not happy about this at all -it breaks His heart - but He is a holy God - and He must remain so! The wicked of this world will not go unpunished - but will have to face the wrath of our Holy God! Pray for those who are lost and those who mean us harm - Lets willingly submit to God! amen!

HEBREWS WALK #13

HEBREWS 2:1
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any
time we should let them slip.

Today's verse reminds us of the parable Jesus gave about the seeds -
some seed fell on hard ground and then sprouted but quickly died -some fell in the briars and weeds and when it grew it became entangled in the cares of the world -but the other seed fell on good ground - amen! we must take heed at what God is saying to us - we must not allow what God has said to us to be burried under the worries of our days or the selfishness of our natural hearts - we must not slip away from the truth! Just like the seed Jesus described - it talks of the condition of our hearts -if our hearts are hardened then HIS word cannot germinate in our lives- we hear it - but then go on our way - this is what I feel I should talk about today - heeding the WORD - when GOD tells us to do something -its important that we do it -and do it willingly - He has called us all to do something in HIS kingdom -HE made us for HIS purpose - and He wants us to grow to maturity in Him - this is His purpose for our lives -to bring Him glory - we must remember however that God could get by fine with out us - HE did just fine before He made anything else -God is - and that has always been enough - He made us for His purpose -we where bought at a very high price -lets allow the WORD to dwell in our hearts and the Holy Spirit will testify of this truth - we must take heed to what God says - He never says anything that is not important -lets listen carefully -this will require us getting alone with God and listening to His still small voice! Let's continue this walk in Hebrews - - - -

A side note: When God called me to this ministry - I knew HE wanted me to dwell in HIS word - this came to be the name of this minstry for that reason - Livin in the WORD - this must be what we do each day and every moment of every day - live in HIS word! Always!

WORDS OF TRUTH

PROVERBS 23:19-21
That your trust may be in the Lord, I have made known to you this day - even to you. Have not I written to you excellent things in counsels and knowledge- that I might make you know the certainty of the words of truth to them that send unto you?

God's word is His love letter to the world - all the truth we ever need to know is within its covers! God gave us so many wonderful promises - many that we have no idea about -because we have not read it all!
I hope to complete the Bible someday -we begin in Matthew late last year -and have read all the way to James 1 - we hope to be done by the end of this year -its great to read what God says - it shows us where we fall short and shows us who God is - we can rely on these words of truth - Jesus said Himself -that HE was the WAY and the TRUTH and the LIFE - without the WORD and the interworking Holy Spirit -we could not know God at all - satan knows this and tries as he may to take away our faith - but its steadfast in CHRIST - our faith is not in our self or our promises but in HIS truth - we can trust the WORD of TRUTH to always be accurate and we can stake our lives on its contents - Jesus came to this world - the LORD of all creation came - He laid down HIS life -completely -giving all that HE had - and rose again for our sakes and for HIS glory!
Many lies are thrown at us each day - styles of clothing and music may change from day to day -but God never changes -again its all in HIS WORD - We must devour the WORD of GOD each day - so that we can stand strong in our faith -we can answer any question if we know the truth - I know right now its not popular to consult with God - but its no less effective today - we must live in the Word each day -clinging to its truth - the words of truth will cast a light on our sin and on the redemption that only comes though CHRIST -lets read the word and live in the word!

NOT THE FLESH

JEREMIAH 17:5,7
Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man that trusts in man, and makes his flesh his arm, and who's heart departs from the Lord . . . Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope the Lord is!

Today we are dealing with a major contrast,those who trust in themselves and those that trust in the Lord - let me say this before we begin - it must be said that God wants us to be people of action -He does not want us to sit back and do nothing -even in our times of waiting on the Lord -HE wants us to be active - that being said - we must trust in the LORD to do the work that He has called us to do - we must put our hand to the plow but look to God to do the work! When problems arise in our lives -we see really quickly where our trust lies - if we are quick to do this or that without consulting the Lord -we are not trusting in Him - sometimes people will see us and think our inactivity means we are lazy or don't really care -but this is not true of those who trust in the LORD - when we trust HIM we must know HIM - how can you trust someone you do not know? Our relationship with Christ should always come before any problem we have - God has some harsh words for those who trust in themselves and other men -but fail to trust Him - God did not make us to worship others of flesh -but the God of wonder- He wants to see if we really trust Him - and the funny thing is the world is looking for the same thing -do we believe what God has said and act upon it - or do we act like it all depends on us - if you hope -your faith - your life is at the hands of men - you need to look up - humans cannot save us - they cannot do what God has done - we must trust in God and not in the flesh! Where does your hope lie?

A side note: If we say we trust the LORD but act like we don't -what does that say to the lost and dying world around us - If God has said it -we must believe it and act upon it - Faith without works is dead-

PERFECT PEACE

ISAIAH 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace, who's mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You!

Many in this day and age are searching for meaning in their lives -they want their lives to matter for someone - people are looking everywhere for happiness and fulfillment - many change jobs at the drop of a hat - or move to another part of the world - some trust in what they can do to make themselves happy - and most of the time the things we think will make us happy do not seem to satisfy - you can go around buying things - you can be the most popular person around -but still be empty inside - the WORD says that when we keep our eyes on JESUS and our mind on HIM -we will have perfect peace - because it is only found in HIM - that's the way we were designed with the need for our Savior! Many people have spent much of the lives acquiring things, money and rewards - now there is nothing wrong with doing that - but if we find our meaning in any of those things -we will be let down - God made us this way - He wants us to depend on HIM and not ourselves or anyone else - Christ must come first in our lives and then the rest of life will fall into place -this is the place were perfect peace is found - with wars all over the globe and natural disasters everywhere -its easy to see this is not our home -let's not get comfortable here -but soon this will all be gone - what we have left is what matters -do you have JESUS? If not ask Him to save you - HE is the only One who can do this!Lets keep our eyes fixed and our thoughts on JESUS!


A side note: Peace comes from knowing Jesus Christ -there is no where else were we can find the peace our hearts long for!

WALK HIS WAY

MICAH 6:8
HE has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly -to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?

Our walk comes from God alone -its nothing we can do or ever will do that makes us right with God - only though the blood of the Lamb do we have any right standing before God - God does have some things He does require of us - to act justly - this means we must be willing to always do the right thing - not matter how much it hurts us or others- doing the right thing -is always the right thing - to tell the truth and tell no lies -not even the white lies - a lie is a lie - God also calls us to love Mercy - We know that apart from Him -there is no real mercy - Jesus came from Heaven to the Earth to show us the way -this much is true -He also came to take away our sin debt - as I listened to the song sung this past Sunday at church -called What Sin -tears came down my face- because though Jesus - our sin debt is paid in full - we should love others because Jesus first loved us - He has forgiven us more then we could ever forgive anyone who has wronged us - finally God calls us to walk humbly with Him- we should not be prideful -brash people -we must be humble - a humble life is one that is lead by the Lord - its not a life of fighting or struggling against God -but of full submitance to Him - its not easy in this flesh - for apart from Him we can do nothing - but though Him we can do all things - We must be willing to walk the way HE wants us to walk - the more we walk with JESUS - the more and more we should being to act - look - and be like Him - lets not walk away from God - but lets walk HIS way! His way is always the best way!

A side note: Every step we take should bring us closer to JESUS!

THE MAN OF SORROWS

ISAIAH 53:3
He is despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief: and we hid as it where our faces from Him; He was despised,
and we appreciated Him not.

This passage was written several hundred years before Jesus was born - but it describes our Savior perfectly - He was and still is rejected by many - He was and still is despised to this very day - to know JESUS means we must be willing to die for HIM - being a Christian -is not an easy thing to do - in this day and age there are people in places in this world being killed because of their belief in Jesus Christ -and HIS saving blood - the world despises Him - and He was so hated that many would just turn their eyes away from Him - leaving Him alone -totally -and even HIS FATHER had to turn HIS back on HIS only SON - He was despised and was and still is the Man of sorrows - Isiaiah wrote these worlds to tell the listeners that JESUS was coming - and this would be the Savior of the world - the ONE who willingly laid down HIS life for us - we must be about HIS business - we must be interested in seeing the lost come to know Him - I come to you each day to bring HONOR and GLORY to JESUS - but that's not all -I want to encourage believers to run the race with endurance- so I hope to be an encourager - but I would be totally remiss if I did not have the soul purpose of winning Souls for JESUS - He has called me to do this - please pray for the lost -those whom you know are lost without JESUS - just pray -and seek what the LORD would have you do - following CHRIST is not easy - and HE has warned us that the world hated HIM - why should we not expect the world to hate us? The pain and sorrow will come - but it will not last forever - we must be willing to follow JESUS - take up our cross and leave the rest behind -our LORD died for our sins -and rose again to show us the way -
Lets trust JESUS - the author and finisher of our faith!

A side note: JESUS knew what HE had to do to save us - HE knew the cost -HE knew all our sin -and HE still went to the cross - HE died in our place - HIS saving grace is all that can save us - we must be washed in HIS blood - The Man of sorrows wants you to know HIM!

When you live in CHRIST the problems of today mean nothing!

NOTHING ABOUT HIM

ISAIAH 53:2
For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground; He has no form or comeliness;
and when we shall see Him, there is no
beauty that we should desire Him!


The fact that we know JESUS CHRIST as LORD says a lot about what has been written down about this Man - The Word in Isaiah says that there was nothing about Him that would attract us to Him - our human nature always seems to cloud our judgment and we cannot see things clearly - Often we think that if we saw JESUS we would just be drawn to Him by His looks, but not according to the Word of God - It says that there was nothing about HIM that would attract us to Him - once JESUS came closer and healed and loved and showed compassion on others- then we saw who HE was - but it was not on the outside - but inside - God has given us HIS Holy Spirit who testifies of the truth of who JESUS is - our hearts are drawn to Him - but apart from the Spirit of the living God - we would not be drawn to HIM at all - In the next verse we will see just how people felt about JESUS -stay tuned - its important to know that God loves us - not because of anything we have done or have not done - He loves us because HE made us - the Word says that HE loved us before we loved Him - if we were to come up with the way to be saved - I don't think we would want JESUS to die - but God said this was the only way - there is only one way into heaven -and that is though the Son! Apart from Christ -we all die in our sins - He saved us - and we owe HIM our everything - during HIS time on this Earth there those who wanted JESUS dead -they did not want JESUS coming on the scene and messing up their personal kingdoms - there are people just like that in the church today - they act the part - but deep inside they do not even know Him - they play the part - but the truth will be seen - just like the truth that JESUS is the Messiah - many on the day HE was killed -denied Him and said - He was not the Messiah -because HE should not die - they had missed the whole thing - JESUS came to save us - and that is just what HE did! Amen! Praise God!

A side note: Have you ever been the last person picked for a sporting event? Ive been there and done that - many times -what is it about JESUS that would make us pick HIM? Nothing at all - He chose us- because we would not chose HIM on our own!

MAKE ROOM!

MALACHI 3:10
Bring all your tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in My house, and prove Me now herewith, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open to you the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.


God wants us to be joyful givers - I know whenever the subject of giving comes up -we always think of money - sure tithe is 10% of what we bring home - God commands us to give to HIM off the top- not the leftovers- I tell you the truth - you begin to do this - it will not be too hard to continue - God will provide all your needs- this however does not mean you may have to do without some things - I am not preaching the health and wealth gospel - this gospel says if you give the right amount you will have a financial blessing or you will not get sick or have any problems -this is simply not true - God does not ask for you to give so you can get something in return - its giving because we love God - and is there any better way then to give up something we want to please Him - sure Id love to keep that extra 10% for myself -but God owns it all any way -so if you do not give its still His! God also wants us to give with joy - not because we have too - but because we have to - and it must be said right here right now that God does not need nor want your money - He wants you -and when you have HIM - HE calls us to have a life change - no more are we to be or the world- our lives should be different then the world around us - HE has called us to give - we must be willing to give every time God calls us to give - God does say He will bless you - that we need to make room for all the blessings - its though our faithfulness -not the amount of money we give - its not the amount -its the fact that we are willing to obey God when HE asks this of us - Jesus said many times if you love Me - you must obey Me - its out of this obedience that we should give - not because we have to - believe me - I have not once been short - God has always made all the ends meet - humanly it makes no sense to give to receive - the world says we need to keep all we get - but the LORD says - give and it will given back to you - and it will overflow - the blessings are great but GOD Is greater! Lets give and then make some room -you can never out give God!

A side note: God has not called us to give only 10% - He wants us to give when HE asks us to give - we need not have a calaculator to serve God - HE just wants us to be willing to give what HE calls us to give!
This requires us listening to HIM! amen!

THE REFINER

MALACHI 3:3
. . . and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord and
Offering in righteousness!


I don't often do this - but God has lead me back to Malachi for today's verse - we talked about the fact that JESUS is coming back some day - we do not know when - but when He does - He is coming back as the ruler King - the King of kings - the ruler and creator - not as a child as He first came - today we see that when HE comes - He will test everything - and what stands up to His testing will remain -but anything that does not will face the fire - what we build our lives on matters - if its on the things of this world - they will all burn up - if we are storing up treasures in heaven- they will remain - we must face the fact that this is not our home - we are not staying here -one day we will leave this place and this life and move on - to bigger and better things - we have Heaven before us -and life as we know it here - we have the promise of JESUS Himself -when HE says HE is going to prepare a place for us - HE is working on it right now as I type this - one day we will be with HIM forever - but until then -we need to be looking up -packing our bags of faith and waiting - we must be still and know that HE Is GOD - He is going to return when HE is not expected - we cannot live today like we have more days - we must do what is needed while its called today -
JESUS is coming and when HE comes -HE will judge everything and everyone - do you stand on HIS promise or on the sand of this world -our lives need to be built on the Rock if we are to stand!

A side note: We don't know what tomorrow holds - but we do know who holds tomorrow -soon the trumpet will sound and we will go home!

HE IS COMING

MALACHI 3:1
Behold, I will send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me, and the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in; behold he shall come,
Says the Lord of hosts.

Today I got to spend some time at a nature trail - there is a lake up on a mountain in my town - its a nice quiet place to reflect and enjoy the scenery - since I took this week off from work - ive got to enjoy the simpler things of life - I got to pray and just spend some good quiet time alone with the Lord - I read the Word - beginning in Matthew - I slowly read (I mean it took at least an hour or more) until I got just past the Sermon on the mount in Chapter 8 - it was great - got to even read all the footnotes - as I read I thought about John the Baptist -he said he had come to prepare the way for the LORD JESUS to come - to open up the door for the ONE who was greater - JESUS requested John to baptize Him - it seemed to be the wrong order - John thought Jesus should baptize him - not the other way around - but this was the public start of the ministry of Jesus our Lord - It had to begin this way - John had been preaching that JESUS would be coming -and he would know when he saw Him! Without a doubt in his mind - John -spoke up when he saw JESUS - and you know the rest of the story - Jesus begin His three year ministry - He healed the sick - brought those caught in sin to repentance and taught like no one before or after Him has been able to do - Just like in those days - JESUS is coming - We must be ready - HE is coming -this much is sure - we may not know when - but as sure as the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West - JESUS is coming back - but this time - like He deserves to come back - not as the servant of the past - but the ruler of all - The KING is coming - He is coming soon -sooner then we think - I love a quote I read a little while ago - I have no idea who said it - but its wise - the saying went like this - Pack your bags but make plans for tomorrow- another words be ready for HIS return at any time -the WORD says in the trinkle of an eye - or like a thief in the night - JESUS is coming back soon! Be ready! Praise God!

A side note: Jesus came to earth as a child the first time - but the 2nd time HE will come as THE KING OF GLORY! amen!

HEBREWS WALK #12

HEBREWS 1:14
Are they all not ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

We have gone though the first chapter of Hebrews - so I will be taking a break from Hebrews to focus on other verses - I will return to Hebrews soon - taking it verse by verse and chapter by chapter - today's verse is the last thought of chapter 1 - the question asked is one to think about - God made the angels for a purpose -not to be worshipped as some door - but to be servants of the Most High God - Angels were sent to announce the birth of Jesus - and also announced at His grave that HE was alive! Angels are also used to minister to us - of course its always the Holy Spirit to reveals the truth to us - but God uses the angels to both watch over us - not because HE is too busy -but because He has a plan for us - and HE will use whatever it takes to bring it to pass -of course God has never failed -not even once -His record is perfect -always has been and always will be -what HE wants to come to pass will come to pass! Amen!? Sometimes He must move us out of the way so He can do His work in our lives - still other times HE lets us make a mistake to have HIS way - God uses the angels of Heaven to work together with HIM on this mission - please notice that GOD does not need the angels - HE does not need anyone -HE IS GOD! As we have gone through this first chapter of Hebrews -its been established that JESUS is GOD in the flesh - and that HE Is greater then the angels -that HE Is the ONE who saves - HE is the ONE who redeemed us in HIS blood -and HE is the one that has chosen to be good - He can do anything HE wants - He made us and the angels for the sole purpose of winning souls for the kingdom - HE has chosen to use us weak humans to cause His plan to come forth - again HE does not need us but has chosen to use us - I will return to Hebrews soon - right now though I want to say that GOD is good - HE is faithful and if you trust HIM your problems will not go away - but you will have peace - let His angels keep guard over you and allow GOD to have HIS way in your life!
Right now we have a choice -however - soon - we won't!
Think about that today!

A side note: The angels while important - are not necessary - just like we are not necessary - God chose to make us for HIS purpose -lets live out that purpose in HIS power and strength!

When we live in CHRIST we have angels watching over us!

HEBREWS WALK #11

HEBREWS 1:13
But to which of the angels did He say at any time, sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool?
Paul has another question for us today - another one that asks the question of the difference between JESUS the CHRIST and the angels - Paul asks to whom did God say sit at MY right hand - the answer of course is none of them - only JESUS deserves such a right - He is after all the only begotten Son of God - He was always there just like the Father - and the Spirit - all three have always been one - its the trinity - and its HIS character - all three in one represent our God!
God made the angels - but did not make Jesus - here lies a major difference - we must also note that God did not send and angel to die for HIS creation - but an angel cannot save anyone - only the blood of JESUS - by the drawing of the SPIRIT can anyone be saved - an angel laying their life down would be useless in salvation - we too are different then the angels of heaven - we were also created - but unlike the angels - JESUS died for us - not for them - they have no need of being saved - they are forever in the presence of God Almighty - we all know the story of satan - or lucifer as he was once called - he was one of the top angels but wanted to be in the place of God - to raise his throne above God's throne and for this was cast from heaven to hell- where he now rules - satan now desires to take as many away from God has he can - his mission is to deceive and divide - once he does that he goes for the juggler - the church - take out one pastor and many members also fall and deny Christ with their lives - they can still be saved - but their life becomes useless - lets remember the difference between JESUS the CHRIST and the angels of heaven - JESUS came to give all up to save us - lets take time each moment to thank HIM! We praise YOU LORD JESUS! amen!

A side note: Everything is under the control of God - He made all the angels - and everything else you can and cannot see - what HE made is good - but satan tries to make it evil and tries to take away as many souls as he can - lets defeat the enemy with the love of JESUS!

HEBREWS 1:12
. . . And as a vesture shall You fold them up, and they shall be changed: but You are the same, and Your years shall not fail.


One day God is going to close this show down -its just a matter of time - we are just passing though this life and all that we try to hold on to will one day cease to exist - our bodies are wearing out - living causes death - let me say that again- living causes death - we are born - we grow -we mature - some of us will grow old - and then physically die -none of us can escape this reality - unless Jesus comes back before we die - if not we can all face the facts of and end to this life as we know it - now if you trust JESUS - Your life will not end when your heart ceases to beat -our lives will continue on forever in the presence of the Lord - I must admit I have no idea what that will be like - its summed up in the song by MercyMe called I Can only Imagine! All we know is that day is coming - He will fold up this world and the end will be here - but this is not the end at all - life goes on - its just a matter of where we will spend eternity - we have two choses - heaven with God or hell with satan - that's it - there is but two choices - and we must be ready - because we never know when our last breathe will be - its hard to think about - but its the truth we must all live with - do you have your reservations for heaven? If not call on JESUS CHRIST and HE will rescue you! Praise God! He will never fail - and His rule will never end - amen!

A side note: our reservation for Heaven are paid for by the blood of JESUS - once we know JESUS the door to eternity with God is opened - if we try and make it on our own - our name will not show up and we will be lost forever -this is serious - do you know where you are going?
Ask JESUS for the directions! amen!

When we live in CHRIST our earthy end is not the end!

AMERICA - A PLACE WERE THERE IS FREEDOM!

We live in the greatest nation on earth - its only in America you are free unlike the rest of the world where freedom never seems to come - we must all realize its the grace of God - now I am not sure why God has blessed us so - looking at the US of A today - you will see a nation that is very different from the past - many have tried to take God out of the country - we were founded on HIS principals and now are not allowed to even mention God without having people ridicule you and our God -
This nation for the most part has turned its back on God - now the truth be know God has a plan - there are many in this nation that still follow Him and its for that reason God has spared us much pain I do believe - but God has a long term goal - He wants to bring freedom to everyone - His freedom -the freedom from sin -the freedom to live this life for His glory - as we celebrate our nations birth - we must remember that our county was founded on the truth of the word of God - our forefathers left a country of tyranny - of no freedom of religion - here today in the US of A you can still pray - you can still acknowledge God - no matter what the current law revisions are - God is till sovereign and HE still rules -

We celebrate our Nation's birth - a birth that has always been steeped in freedom - our nation brings freedom to those in bondage - God did the same thing for all of us in JESUS - God has blessed America in mighty ways - even in the midst of disaster God has stepped in and saved the day - since 9/11 life has been much different - our freedom is more sweeter now - many want to take it away -a right paid for in blood of those who gave their lives for our nation - pray for those far from home -think about their sacrifice and enjoy your freedom!

HEBREWS 1:11
They shall parish - but YOU remain;
And they shall wax old as a garment.

We have one guarantee - that God will always be - as well as our salvation that comes from the blood of Jesus - God will always be -and has always been - there has never been nor ever will there be a time when God does not exist - now many people have doubted Him but that does not make Him fictional - God made this world and is still active in this world - HE is in full control - we however will not last forever down here - we have a home waiting for us - one day we will not exist like we do now - but then we will live forever! We just pass through the door of this life and move on the next- however unlike this life -that life never ends -but continues forever - our minds cannot fathom this - heaven awaits us - we are just passing through this life - all our riches - possessions will be left when we go Home - we work and work to build up what we think we need and in the process miss the most important thing - to worship God -
Jesus says that if we love HIM we will obey Him -right now is our opportunity to do just that - since we do not have forever now -but later -we must live each day as if it is our last -once saved our lives no longer belong to us but to God - lets live life this way - we will one day leave this place -however God will always remain! We serve an Awesome God!


A side note: God has no beginning and He will have no end -
He as the Alpha and the Omega remains -forever!

When we live in CHRIST we can see forever!

IN STEP WITH THE TRUTH

In Step With The Truth

3rd John 1:4
For I have no greater joy that to hear
that my children walk in truth!

I am not yet a parent - that is apparent! (sorry for the pun!) but lets be serious, those of us who have children want nothing more than for them to walk in the truth of Jesus Christ - we who know Christ as our Savior know there is not greater thing we could give our children than to know Christ as their Savior! But in order for them to embrace this truth - they will look to us as the example - just today I read in New Man that men need to step up to the plate in this matters - far to long we have been silent - I don't have any children of my own - but God has lead me to sponsor several children -my first child was Walter - and the greatest gift He gave me was his letter that told me He had accepted Christ - there is no greater gift then to see those who were once lost - saved - We have a ministry at home when we have children - We must walk in the truth so that they will want to walk in the truth as well - we need to be in step with the truth - Our relationship with our children matters - and we must also concentrate on our relationship with Christ - He must remain number one even after we have children - I know I am no expert but I know that children follow their parents! I don't have children so its easy to say - but I know the truth that has set me free -and I know those younger then us follow us - they see what we do - and they know what really is important to us!
Lets make it a point this day and every day to surrender our lives to Christ and continue to be in step with the truth!
