He Supplies What is Needed
2nd Corith 9:12
For the administration of the service not only supplies the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;....
Everything we have comes from GOD - for HE made all and all was made for HIS glory - He made us because He wanted too - He sometimes likes to show off - after all HS is GOD - He can do whatever HE wants - HE owns it all - HE is the ONE who can supply all we need - HE is the ONE who can give us just what we need - HE loves us - we are HIS children - We are to live lives that show the world around us that we belong to HIM - and HIM alone - no one else owns us - no one else knows best what we need but GOD alone - HE supplies what is needed every time - often times He allows circumstances to put us in want - HE does this so we will lean and and depend on HIM at all times - we are weak in our flesh - we can do nothing apart from HIM -
we can try - but we will never be fullfilled - we will never be given what we need unless we make HIM LORD of our lives - JESUS came and died for our sins - HE came willingly - the KING came as a servant - HE came to serve - HE came to give us just what we need - HE does the same thing today - we who belong to HIM have access to all HE has and all HE is! The reason we have what we have is GOD ordained it - GOD made all that you see - and all that you cannot see -
HE made this world for us - HE made the universe and everything in it to bring HIMSELF glory! Are your needs met? This world cannot do it - only GOD can -
this world is passing away - what we have before us in better then what has come before us - GOD will give us just what we need - depend on HIM today!
Word to the wise: If you are in need - go to the only ONE who can meet that need!

Called By Him
Isaiah 43:1
But now the LORD who created you says, Don't be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name;
you are Mine!
How many of you have felt and heard the call of God on your life? Now it may be a still small voice that is easy to ignore - I know in my life I have resisted the call of God - I felt years ago that I should go into youth ministry - but nothing ever became of it - later on I heard the call to mentor others - God used me in the lives of two young men - one now is married and has a family of his own - the other told me the other day that he is thankful I have been there for him! Then the call moved to children -I have been blessed with the ability to met children where they are at -- it's all JESUS nothing to do with me - but HIS call was heard years ago - but I didn't listen - and it took me years to find out what HE wanted me to do - do you hear that call on your life?
God didn't save us to be by ourselves - He wants us to be part of His community - the Church -we are HIS bride! I know GOD has call me - has He called you?
the purpose of this devotional today is not to pat myself on the back - it's to bring GOD glory for the call on my life - My flesh does not want to serve God - right now my flesh is fighting me - I want to do this for GOD but my flesh is weak - but the reason this continues to be put out is because I feel the call of GOD on my life -
I pray that you can hear and sense that same call- the workers are few JESUS says - will you be one of HIS workers - this often will mean little pay and no praise from men - not that we should seek that! There will however be much joy - the world around us is dying - there are lost people right without our voice - let's call out to GOD on their behalf - it's not about us - it's all about HIM! Are you called by HIM?
Word to the wise: God is calling you
- He does not call the qualified - He qualifies the called!

Finished Works
Hebrews 4:13
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as HE said, As I have sworn in My wrath, if they sahll enter into My rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world!
God is not done with any of us yet - or else we would have already been taken home to heaven - God has a plan for each of our lives - He wants us to remain in His rest - His rest means we quit trying in our power and trust in His power to do in us what we cannot do on our own - we must trust His power , His Grace and His love to see us through - we must depend on Him and not oursleves - this seems to be a common theme in the devotionals God is leading me to write - He is building something beautiful with HIS church - I am seeing this more and more - HE wants us to be built on HIM and HE wants us to be ready for the Groom - it's hard being a male and thinking about the fact we , the church are the Bride of Christ - we must build our lives on Him -
and when all is said and done - God will have some wonderful finished works!
We are all incomplete at the moment - none of us have arrived yet - none of us have made to the place were we can just quit growing and become done!
We have to strive in Christ each day - being a Christ follower is not a part time job - but a 24/7/365 commitment to allowing God to build our lives on HIS foundation and what HE builds cannot be torn down - however what we build on our won't stand the test of time - soon we will be finished works for Christ - but right now - we must contiune on the path He has set before us and serve HIM by serving others in HIS name! We are works in progress - soon HE will complete us to His specifications!
Word to the wise: Let GOD finish you - HE knows what's best!

Built On Christ
Ephesians 2:19
You are fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus as the chief cornerstone.
This ministry is all about building lives on the God's Word! His word is something we can rely on - it will never change - you will never have to worry about it changing - because it's GOD's infallible Word! His love letter to us!
There are people today who are building their lives on something other then JESUS!
These lives will never be compete - they will never have the joy - the peace - the freedom we have in CHRIST! They will have live that in the end will prove to be empty! We who know and worship Christ are living our lives from His foundation - not a man made one - a have a friend who said that he builds his life on his own foundation - told him that is not correct - if he is in Christ then his foundation is none other then Jesus Christ - Our lives should be built on JESUS and no one else -
We cannot build lives that matter apart from HIM! We must be willing to put the foundation of CHRIST In our lives in the forefront for all to see - we cannot be separated from JESUS and nothing can separate us from His love - no matter what we may done in the past - today is the day the foundation of your life can change - it's moving the trust from yourself and others to JESUS and HIM alone-
Just what is your life built upon? If it not on JESUS then you are lost and without hope - today you can trust JESUS like never before - today your life can be rebuilt!
BUILD IT ON CHRIST!
Word to the wise: There is no better foundation for our lives then JESUS!

The Daily Blueprint
for 8/9/10
Sparrow
Matthew 10:29-30
Not one sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. So don't worry! You are more valuable to Him then many sparrows!
What value does God place on a human life? He was willing to send His One and Only Son to die for the sins of mankind - what kind of price is that? The Word of God says that you are worth more then many sparrows - the point being that God knows when a sparrow falls to the ground - nothing happens without God's knowledge - Jesus said if The Father is concerned for a sparrow - how much more is He concerned about us?
Sometimes in this life we go by what others say about us - we begin to believe what they say over what God says - if we go by man -we will fall - we will fail - we will be let down - I was just talking to a friend the other day - and we talked about this very thing - we are worth more then anyone says we are worth - we cannot go by the labels this world puts on us - we must go by what JESUS says! He alone determines our worth - He alone made us! Many times our performance becomes who we are to the world around us - always do great things and never fail the world will label you a success!
but fail - the world will call you a failure - it's so good that GOD does not see us the way the world sees us - there are people this very moment giving up on life - could this be one of you? Maybe this message is for you - just you - whoever you are - God loves you - God longs for you to know this! God loves you!
No matter what you have done - no matter where you have been!
GOD loves you - HE cares about you deeply - HE sent HIS only SON for you!
If it was just you HE would have done it all!
I watched a movie last night called the Cross and the Switchblade -
if you get a chance rent it - it's about Ricky Cruise - this guy used to hate JESUS - he hated a preacher that came on his turf - but in the end Nicky found out what GOD thought of him - he found out how much he is worth to GOD - let's see ourselves as GOD sees us - in Christ we are free from condemnation - we are free from the power of our sins - GOD loves us so much HE has given us all we need!
You are worth so much to GOD - HE loves you - yes you!
Word to the wise: Only GOD can rate a life!
HE views us as worth more then anything else!

for 8/6/10
Growth
2nd Peter 3:18a
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Growth is found in nature - things must grow to survive - they must adapt to the things around them - we have to change the way we do things today because money is so tight - we must be smarter with the money God allows us to use! We must be willing to take the steps to grow in our faith as well - this grow requires exercise - and exercise requires work - many of our have gotten spiritually lazy - many of us are happy to stay right where we are - but fortunately God loves us too much to leave us like we were!
His single goal is to make us like His Son Jesus - that's it - God wants us to be conformed into the image of His Son - He wants us to be holy as HE is holy -
this requires spiritual sweat - it's not easy - but GOD does the work so in one respect it is easy - the problem is we try and stay the way we are and God is trying to (and HE succeeds I might ad!) to make us like His Son - HE does not want us to stay stagnate like a pond but HE wants us to be a river HE can flow through -all this takes growth - a Tree cannot live long if it remains a sampling - it must grow and reach toward the sky - we must do the same thing in our faith - if we ever get to a place were we are satisfied with our faith we are in trouble - God didn't make us to sit still - He wants us to move to His beat - to grow toward the Light - We must be willing to be moldable - and not hard unmoldeble clay - God has a plan for our lives -are we willing to grow with that plan or continue on where we are - Growth must happen in our spiritual life or else it will die!
Word to the wise: Trees always grow toward the light -

God Must Build It
Psalm 127:1
If the LORD does not build the house,
The builders labor in vain to build it.
The question that comes to my mind when I read today's verse is that many in this world have built their lives on something other then Jesus Christ. Those who have built on anything else have built on shaky ground - everything in this world will one day pass away - this is not our home - you see many famous people who live in direct opposition to Christ and His Ways - they live hollow lives that the world accolades -
Lives that don't bring God glory -- many live as if there is no God - that's so sad!
We who know JESUS as LORD know there is a GOD - and HE loves us - HE loves everyone that He created! (hint - that's everyone!!) Jesus came to save those who are lost (again that's everyone!) If we want to bring GOD glory - HE must build the building - He must build our lives up in order to accomplish what HE wants us to do -Maybe you feel like GOD didn't build you well -that's not true -you are a treasure of GOD - HE made you - you are HIS Masterpiece! Many are lost and dying around us - many don't know JESUS came to save them - it's our mission to tell them about JESUS - since HE has built our lives on the ROCK - We can now move forward and bring JESUS to the lost and dying around us! We can build on solid ground now - the shaking ground of this world is not the place to build - GOD must build it - or else it will all be in vain - we can love others - we can serve others - but without JESUS in our heart - it's meaningless - what is your life built on???
Word to the wise: The sandy foundation of this world won't stand - but the ROCK will always stand and we can build our lives upon HIM!

The whole permise of this ministry is building our lives on GOD'S WORD!
I send these out daily to show that God's Word is the blueprint we need to see what it means to live this life for Jesus Christ - that is the single purpose - but it has many facets - one facet is bringing the lost to Christ -the other facet is helping those who already walk with HIM to walk closer to HIM - thirdly it's to encourage those of the faith that are struggling - this three point purpose is what I strive to convey each day - That the only one to whom we can really build our lives on is JESUS!
HE alone deserves our worship and respect - sadly in this day and age many are falling away from their faith - many are just walking away - it's alarming - GOD Is so good and HE sent HIS only SON to save us - and yet many are just walking away - It's like when JESUS was talking to many about eating His body and drinking His blood - some said it was too hard a saying and they walked away - Jesus asked the 12 if they wanted to walk away too - I think it was Peter who said - Lord where else can we go!
The truth is - no where - we cannot go anywhere without CHRIST!
We must build our lives upon HIM and HIS truth!
We must not build on this sandy foundation of this world but on the sure foundation of the ROCK - there has been times recently in my faith were I have gotten lazy - I don't read the WORD like I should - I don't pray as much as I should - I know none of that saves me (only the blood of JESUS makes me right with GOD) but it's good to do those things if you want to grow -
What is your life built apon - anything but JESUS means it's gonna pass away
but in CHRIST all things remine brand new!
Build on the ROCK!

HE alone deserves our worship and respect - sadly in this day and age many are falling away from their faith - many are just walking away - it's alarming - GOD Is so good and HE sent HIS only SON to save us - and yet many are just walking away - It's like when JESUS was talking to many about eating His body and drinking His blood - some said it was too hard a saying and they walked away - Jesus asked the 12 if they wanted to walk away too - I think it was Peter who said - Lord where else can we go!
The truth is - no where - we cannot go anywhere without CHRIST!
We must build our lives upon HIM and HIS truth!
We must not build on this sandy foundation of this world but on the sure foundation of the ROCK - there has been times recently in my faith were I have gotten lazy - I don't read the WORD like I should - I don't pray as much as I should - I know none of that saves me (only the blood of JESUS makes me right with GOD) but it's good to do those things if you want to grow -
What is your life built apon - anything but JESUS means it's gonna pass away
but in CHRIST all things remine brand new!

God in His infinate wisdom created man - we are only because He wants us to be - no one is here by accident - and we won't be leaving by accident - GOD has a plan and it's perfect - He does not need us at all but He choose to make us - knowing full well HIS creation was going to turn it's back on HIM - HE still made man! He knew of the garden and HE knew of the fall that was going to take place - HE saw all the way from the beginning to the end - HE is both the beginning and the end - He made man so that man could enjoy HIM forever and man could enjoy GOD forever - however once sin entered the picture that all changed but it didn't catch GOD off guard - today's devotional is one in which I want to tell you that GOD values you - you are no mistake - I know of several people that have basically given up on life - I had to admit to myself I was there at one time during this tough journey of the last couple of years - losing several loved ones and friends has been tough - losing my marriage is been tough and the health scares I have been through - and I am not alone - several close friends from my past have left this earth - both my Mom and my Dad are now gone home - couple that with the passing of my step-sister Tari-Janye - one can see how fregal our lives really are - the only thing I can say is I know GOD made us - I know HE has a plan - and I know that HIS plan will come to pass - no matter what we do or don't do -
HIS will shall be done - GOD made man for the purpose of man enjoying GOD!
One day when our lives here are ever we will see HIM! Those of us who have followed HIM will not be meeting Him for the first time -God made us - He formed us in our Mother's womb - and He wants to show us HIS love through HIS grace!
If you have been born once - you can be born again! God made man - and it is good!
Word to the wise: Whenever you feel worthless remember just what GOD did to save you! HE has made us worthy! through the blood of HIS dear Son!

When you wake up in the morning - what do you put on? I am not just talking about physically - but spiritually - if you head out of the house undressed you will look funny and would get arrested for indecent exposure - in the same way going out without your spiritual clothes on is very foolish - we must put on CHRIST when we get up every morning - we must put on HIS righteousness and not try to obtain it on our own - we must put on the right things in order to stand against the enemy - you don't show up to battle without your gear do you? A football player would be useless without his gear - and without the play book - as Christ followers we are to ware HIS garments!
We must be willing to admit we cannot do it on our own - it takes putting on CHRIST to make it! The enemy is not gonna rest while we sit around undressed - without the blood of JESUS we are powerless - but in CHRIST we have HIS power to fight off the enemy of our souls - put on CHRIST!

Once we have received the adoption from GOD to be HIS sons and daughters we are completely changed - know often on this side of heaven we won't see these changes - we are all human and we all miss the mark and mess up - we all fall short -
but in CHRIST there is life - but apart from HIM there is only death -
now you may say you see people who are just living fine without Christ - they like as alive as we do - but the outside and the inside is not the same thing - we are all in need a the Saviors healing blood - we must come to a place in our lives where we find that CHRIST is all we need - there are many things in the world today vining for our attention - friendships - courtships - work - any a number of things that can take our minds off GOD - without our mind on anything else -we are not really living!
We must put CHRIST first in all things -we must be willing to set our lives apart for CHRIST and not try and live it apart from HIM - we find out quickly that the LAW only brings Death but JESUS only brings LIFE - which are you following? Life or Death?

...asking GOD to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
Knowledge - this is something everyone wants - but sadly not everyone is willing to do what it takes to get it - it's something we use and then get rid of - often we will show just how smart we are but spewing off a lot of facts- however facts are not the same thing as wisdom - we all want to be looked at as intelligant - being being smart does not mean you have the correct knowledge - we must have the correct view of GOD - if we ask HIM HE would give it to us - but do we ask HIM? He has already said in HIS word that if we ask ANYTHING in HIS name - HE will do it - if it's according to HIS will - oftentimes we come to God thinking we know it all - but it's not the truth - our minds cannot contain all God knows - we would be blown away to see what GOD sees - do you just want to know facts about JESUS or do you want to know Him personally - many shy away from this realtionship because they think it means giving up things- they think it means people will think they are nuts - many worry what this will do to their image - but it's sad - that they would exchange this world for the one to come - JESUS wants to live in and through us today - one way HE does this is by giving us spiritual knowlege - but HE does not give it just for the sake of Knowledge - He wants - He longs for everyone to walk with HIM - HE wants no one to miss heaven - we can have much brain knowledge and street smarts - but without JESUS we are nothing -we can do nothing and our lives will amount to nothing -
let the widsom of GOD reveal the truth of just who HE is!

early shall find Me!
If there is one thing about me that you may not it's this -
I am not a morning person - I am much more a night owl - it's always a little past midnight before I finally wind down - it takes me a while because I am most awake right before I have to go to bed - and when morning comes - ugh - I am not a happy camper - don't get me wrong - I love life - I love living - but I also enjoy hitting the snooze button as many times as I can get away with! God says in today's verse that we need to seek HIM early - not I am not sure sure this really means the time of the day - but rather the time of our lives - if we wait to the last breath to finally praise JESUS it may be just too late! We must live every moment for our King - true there are people today who have never even heard the name JESUS which is very sad - you would think everyone knows JESUS - but it's not true - many are lost around us right now - in our day to day activites there are those who won't get to be with GOD in heaven - how sad - we must seek GOD early - not later - not as an afterthought - we must put Him first - He does not want lukewarm children - He wants children who are willing and able to do what HE calls them to do - He has a misison for each of our lives - some of us have sought Him and found out what it is - others have not taken the time to develop a relationaship with CHRIST personally - we must seek GOD early - before it's too late - JESUS said that those who seek HIM will know the Father - there is no doubt once you know JESUS that your life will change - you will want to see HIM first before anyone else - are you seeking the LORD early? Or are you just giving Him your leftovers - the last moment of your day or the last moment of your life - GOD Is there - HE is waiting for you today - come to HIM just as you are - seek HIM early -
before it's too late! One day HE will come back - one day HE will break open the Eastern sky - we have to be ready - the time is now!

Let your light so shine before men , that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven!
Our lives are no longer our own - we no longer can make our own choices - we must consider what GOD wants above what we want - that is the Christian life in a nut shell - GOD wants to use your life and my life to bring light into the world - we must have this Son Light in our lives so that those around us will see JESUS in us - remember it's to bring HIM glory not ourselves - it's easy to get this all mixed up - afterall we have the flesh to contend with - today's verse says to allow the light of JESUS to shine in and out of our lives so that those who see us will tell there is something different about us - right now my church is going through some changes - but what amazes me is that light is being cast from the lives of those in our church - you can see it in their lives - this is not just a Sunday thing - it's a total life style deal - every moment that they can they show the world JESUS - that's what we are here to do - to bring GOD glory!
Have you allowed HIS Light to shine in your life? Are you keeping it under a bush - hiding it until Sunday when you walk into the church -that's not the right way to live this life - we must be willing to give up our wants and desires so that GOD has HIS way in our lives and the lives of those around us - we can allow this world to dim our light from JESUS or we can allow HIM to cast HIS Light through our lives-

We are all sinners - we all know this - just a quick look into our lives will show others we are not perfect on our own - but when we allow JESUS to come into our lives and change us - HE will do just that - Once we know HIM we will never be the same again! The old has gone - the new has come! Jesus is the justifer of our souls -
HE poured out HIS life on the cross for our sins - He paid the ulitmate price -
HE alone saves! We cannot do enough rightous acts to ever balance the scales in our favor - we were born into a sin-filled world - a place that is ruled by the enemy -
Many feel that sin is not a big deal - however GOD has the final say on that -
HE willingly sent HIS own SON to a terriable death - and seperation from HIMSELF to pay the price for sin - none of us could pay such a price - how many of us would give up their sons for someone who hated them - that's just what we did when we lived a life of rebellion against God - but JESUS came and justified us with the Father -
That was HIS mission - it was a rescue mission - Jesus paid the price - let's never tire of hearing that fact - many live lives that deny JESUS - many who call themsleves Christians are not really following the ONE TRUE GOD! They give lip service to this truth but they don't live it - it's so sad to see someone confess CHRIST and yet live a life contrary to HIS ways - now don't get me wrong -we will all fail - we will all sin -we can all sin at the drop of a hat - but JESUS is the one who took the penalty and placed it on HIMSELF - do you know the justifer today? If not you will have to stand before GOD one day in your own righteouseness - which is never gonna be enough!
JESUS paid the price -won't you put your trust in HIM today?
Word to the wise: JESUS SAVES - don't forget you cannot save yourself!

We are all sinners - we all know this - just a quick look into our lives will show others we are not perfect on our own - but when we allow JESUS to come into our lives and change us - HE will do just that - Once we know HIM we will never be the same again! The old has gone - the new has come! Jesus is the justifer of our souls -
HE poured out HIS life on the cross for our sins - He paid the ulitmate price -

That they all may be one ; as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they may be one in Us: that the world may believe that You have sent me......
Jesus had one single desire - this was what drove all that He did - That was - that He and His followers would be one just like HE and HIS FATHER are one! Sure He also saved mankind from their sins - but that was not the only reason HE came - He wanted unity in His Body! He wanted the church and those in the church to be one - one mission - there is one bapistim - one Spirit -and HIS people should be one - one cause going in one direction - Jesus longed for all of us to be one - He longed for us to have that intimacy that He had with His Father - He wanted to share that - it's too bad that often commuities are formed in churches to decide what color the carpet or paint should be and people get into heated debates about this - and it turns into an angument-
in this there is no unity - we are not to fight within the church -we are to give of ourselves and in that become one with those who attend church with us - Chruch should be totally unlike the world around us - it should be a safe oasis for peope -
but sadly in many churches this does not happen!
JESUS wants us to be one! This was His goal - to bring us into a realtionship with the Father through the Son! Are you seeing unity in your church? We are all a part of the body of Christ! Let's go be one with HIM and each other!
Word to the wise: If you want unity in your church - be the the one who gives up what they want so the whole church gets what God wants!

But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you!
God has a plan for each one of our lives - HE knows what HE is doing - even when it seems like HE is not acting on our behalf - the truth is HE Loves us with an every lasting love! A love we cannot understand - He has some things HE wants us to do -
HE wants obedience - yes HE sent HIS SON to die for our sins - but that does not mean we should just live a life of sin - that does not glorify God - many will call that old fashioned and not hip - but it matters more to honor GOD then to be popular -
do we seek HIS kingdom first? or is this temporary world more important - before we answer we must look at our actions - we must also look at our hearts - GOD looks right into our hearts and we cannot hide anything from Him - He desires a close relationship with each of us - HE Is big enough to love all of us at the same time!
When we do what HE says our lives bring HIM honor - if we don't then we dishonor Him - the main issue these days is the economy - many are worried about their jobs - and their families - which is understandable - but we must trust in our true source of life - JESUS CHRIST! HE is our provider! When we seek HIS kingdom first all these things will be added to us - we must believe HE can do what HE says HE can do -
or else we will fail in this life - we must trust the ONE who gave us all we need!
Are you in need? Seek HIM first - are you sick - Seek HIM first - HE wants us to seek HIM and HIS kingdom before anything else!
Word to the wise: When we seek HIS kingdom before anything else - we will lack nothing! (this does not mean we won't have needs!)

HIS PEACE
John 14:27
Peace I leave you, My peace I give you, I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid!
It's great to be back! I took a whole month off and I feel so much better - I feel ready to once again talk about JESUS and what HE means to me - and in this I hope to help each one of you - I have been in prayer - I have taken some time off to recharge -
GOD is good - so with that said - let's get started!
Today's verse talks about peace - but a peace not like the worldly peace we see -
it's a peace that goes deep - a peace that stays - a peace that changes us!
it's the peace JESUS gives to us - this peace is not superficial - it's not a feeling - it's a lifestyle - HIS peace is not like the world's definition of peace - the world says that if you have money - if you have fame - if you have popularity - then you have peace -
However the equation does not work -- only JESUS gives us true lasting peace - a peace we cannot even begin to understand !! Maybe today you would say you do not have that peace - you need to ask yourself why not! Jesus freely gives us HIS peace when we ask HIM to - when we accept JESUS as LORD and SAVIOR then this peace comes with it - sometimes circumstances of our lives will not be peaceful - but knowing JESUS through the trial - you will have peace that the world cannot touch!
Nothing can take HIS peace away - your circumstances may be bad - you may "Feel" down and alone - but that does not mean GOD is not there - HE just wants us to trust HIM! May the peace that passes all understanding fill your life today and forever more - the world cannot compare to what JESUS gives us - know the ONE who gives us real peace - live your life for HIM and you will have peace - notice I didn't say all your trouble will go away - you will have new trouble - but JESUS will bring the peace!
Word to the wise: True peace comes from having a personal intimate relationship with JESUS CHRIST!

OBEY
Colossians 3:20
Children, obey your parents in all things: For this is well-pleasing unto the LORD!
Today's verse may seem to directed at children and parents - but it's much more than that - it's a command - we often forget this when we have disagreements with our parents - let's face it - they are human as much as we are - when you reach a time in your life when both of your earthly parents have left this world - it is hard to understand that we won't have an oppuntity again this side of heaven to obey our parents - but we can obey them even in their absence - since it's a command of God to obey our parents we are to live lives that please them - the best way we can do this is live in such a way that pleases our Heavenly Father - that should be our chief goal in all we do - if your parents are still with you in the here and now - well today you can obey them even if you have not for years - today you can reconnect with them - not communicating with your parents is not a good thing - maybe there is a wedge there between you today - if so - bring it GOD right here and now - let the sun not set again until you have patched things up - it's that important - what those of you who say your parents did a terrible job in raising you - or if you believe they don't deserve you obedience because they were not there for you - the WORD offers no such exception to get out of obey them - The Word does not say obey them when they are worthy of it - or if they have earned it - it just says do it! We must obey - now there are cases when a parent is abusing their child - that child does not have to obey in such a way that harm comes to himself - remember that abuse is not right and it's not supported by GOD! We are to obey our parents - right now - there are no options!
God is our Father - we are to obey HIM above everyone else!
Are you living a life of obedience to GOD and to your parents?

Put It Aside
2nd Peter 1:6
Learn to put aside your own desires so that you will become patient and godly, gladly letting God have His way with you.
The most unselfish thing ever done was Jesus dying on the cross for our sins - in that one moment Christ our Lord laid it all down and then said it was finished - Jesus cared for those who killed Him - He cared for the two dying with Him that day - He cared for His Mom - His brothers and sisters - He cared for you and me - from the cross He endured so much for our sakes - He is the example for us to follow of what it really means to lay our lives down for our friends - except in His case - He laid down His life for those who were not His friends - they will separated from HIS Father by their sins - we are in the same boat where it not for Christ coming and dying for us! Jesus lived a perfect life but yet became sin for us - He never sinned - never disobeyed His Father - never lied - cheated or stole! JESUS was perfect and HE laid HIS Life down!
In the same way we are also to lay our lives down for those around us - We are to daily die to self - we are daily to give our lives away helping others - loving them - and showing them Jesus - it's easy to type these words - much harder to live them - I have begun to come out and be honest - and admit how I have failed to live up to what I have written - but in God's power I will happen - I will die to self - I will lay it down - I will put it down just as soon as I remove the I - see it's hard to even write without putting that one letter word in the equation - just sitting here typing God showed that to me - If we want to put it aside we have to put our lives in Jesus capable hands - we must be willing to die to self - we must be willing to leave what we want behind and serve our Living & Loving Savior! We are concern ourselves with the needs of others - we will find that God can use us in a mighty way - helping others is not always easy - but it's what we have been called to do - plug in where God places you - Grow where you are planted - and put it all aside for God's glory - it's not to be about us - but all about HIM - I am praying that God opens your eyes today to just what HE wants you to do with the life HE has given you - let's get I and me and us out of the way - just ask JESUS and HE will do it - crucify this flesh - it's time beloved!

It seems in the day and age in which we live in - few people get enough rest -few Bible believing God Fearing Jesus loving people spend enough time resting at Jesus' feet -
This includes those of us who do daily devotionals online - I cannot count how many times I have rushed to my keyboard to just type it out - leaving only to find I didn't spend that much time with God - now what I don't want to do is get legalistic and make my relationship with Christ a by rules thing - and I don't want to get to the point of measuring how much time I spend with and how much time I don't spend with God - that could get to be splitting hairs - I say all this to say - that we need rest - we need real honest to goodness rest - rest for our souls - they do get weiry - this world can throw a lot at us - on many levels we are all worn out - we have too much - we do too much - we watch too much -eat too much - spend too much - and yet we rest little!
We must find rest for our souls - and where we look does matter - we must look for this rest in no other place but GOD alone - I have to admit I have been woundering a round a little these days - and what I am finding is that there is no one like JESUS - the world who claims to want us - cannot care for us like our Savior - no one else can do to us what JESUS can do to us - HE can take our broken heart and make it brand new - He can take our sins away never to return! HE can change the course of our lives -
but do this we need HIM and in HIM we find our rest - and without rest we become brittle and dry up - we become lifeless - make sure the life in you is not your own!
The life we live by faith must in lived out in CHRIST!

Life is not easy - to some this is an understatement - many in my circle of life are suffering - some have been healed - some rejoice - but many I am afraid have allowed this world to let them down - the cirumstances of life cause them to become down cast - sadly I am fitting into the group lately - it's been a season of questioning - but in the midst of that - JESUS is still LORD! The good news is we don't have to get it right - we just need to know CHRIST! The good news is GOD sent HIS SON not when we were cleaned off - not when we were wroth saving - HE saved us in our current condition - HE came knowing full well all the sins we would commit - HE came knowing that at times we would deny Him - turn against Him and run the other way -
the WORD says that while we were yet sinners - When we were our most far away from God - HE Sent HIS SON - remarkable - it's been a tough life lately - but this does not dimish how good GOD is - HE IS GOOD - HE KNOWS WHAT'S BEST!
HE DIED WHEN WE REJECTED HIM - we were in the crowd - we were in those who drove the nails - our sins put JESUS there - HE became sin for oursakes and took on God's wrath HIMSELF - all while we were lost in our sins - not when we got right with HIM - not when we came to HIM - HE did this because of HIS great love for us!

Today is the first day of the rest of our lives-
the pinnacle of our faith was remembered yesterday - let's stop and pause a moment to remember what took place - Jesus the perfect Son of God - came to this world as a baby - He grew into a man - and His whole life He never sinned - He called 12 men to follow Him for three years - then HE died for our sins - put in the tomb and rose again the third day! All for us He did this - He fullfilled what was written about Himself 100 of years before He was even on this planet - remarkable - but not for God!
We are to now move on in our lives with this promise that when our lives are over - what JESUS did for us - will bring us into HIS Kingdom forever - He paid for it in His blood - never let the enemy make you doubt this - it is all we have - it's all we need -
Jesus fulfilled all that was ask of Him by God - He did exactly what HE was called to do - He got it done! He died for our sins - the sinless for the sinfull - He came from Heaven on a rescue misson to save us - His mission is now complete - and is repeated every time someone comes to Christ and takes HIM as their Savior -
What JESUS did for us is priceless - in this we have hope!
Hope is what we need today - many are living empty lives without meaning - many are throwing away their lives - the life God gave them - many are living it up now - only to lose their very souls - Let JESUS fulfill in you what HE did through His Life - Death and Resurection - JESUS LIVES and we now live as well -
there is no life outside of Christ - no life worth living - CHRIST is to be our all in our -
HE is the only way to the Father - HE is our only hope -
so if you are feeling hopeless today - empty - without hope -
turn to the ONE who has given HIS very life to bring us life!
The very ONE who laid HIS life down - the very ONE who
loves us in a way we cannot understand - Go to HIM today-
and leave behind the empty lives - and be fulfilled!

The Walk of Jesus : Holy Week 2010
• The Cross - GOOD FRIDAY
Luke 23:33-34a
And when they had come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified Him and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left..Then JESUS said" FATHER forgive them for they know not what they do!"
It all lead up to this place - Gogotha - or the place of the skull - also called the place of death - the hill we know as Calvary - this was God's goal for His Son - to die for the sins of man-
Jesus came to this world willingly
- He endured the trial without even speaking one word - He held His peace like no one before Him or after Him would!
Jesus willingly endured this for us - He paid the price in full for our sins- "It's finished" was one cry for the cross - another cry was "Father forgive them for they know not what they do!" Imagine Jesus in dire pain - suffering - and still worried about those who did it to Him - He asked God to forgive them - remarkable - Jesus did all this because He deemed us worth saving - The Romans came up with this ugly execution designed for maximum suffering - and to stand as a sign for anyone else who dared crossed the Government or Religious leaders - This involved nailing the victim down to two wooden boards - nailed together - in which they hung for hours or even days -
Jesus knew what He was going to endure for us -
He knew all the suffering, and all the pain He would suffer - but He didn't turn back - in the face of such pain - He stayed the course - He did what was needed for you and for me -
The cost of the cross was great - JESUS the LORD endured it for you and for me - He breathed HIS Last and died - but before He did - He said - "It Is Finished" another words - Nothing is left to pay - what JESUS came to accomplish - He did - He did it all for you and for me! The Cross was the final deed that was needed - the Cross is where our sins were placed on JESUS - if you don't have a personal relationship with CHRIST - why not take this GOOD FRIDAY and give your life to HIM - why not allow HIM to change you - He will cover your sin - your old nasty dirty sin - HE has nailed it to the cross - Surrender and repent today and make it a Good Friday!
Follow JESUS from the cross to the grave -
Soon the Son of God will be buried in a borrowed tomb -- all hope seemed lost -- join me tomorrow as we talk about the grave of JESUS our LORD - thankfully He stayed in there only three days!!!!!!
JESUS Endured the cross for you and for me -
HE took our sins -- our sickness -- and allowed the nails to pierce His hands and feet - Death was the goal - but it was not the end of the story- stay tuned for Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday!

The Walk of Jesus : Holy Week 2010
• EASTER SUNDAY - THE RESURECTION!
Matthew 28:6
HE IS NOT HERE! FOR HE IS RISEN, AS HE SAID. Come and see where the LORD laid....
HE IS RISEN!
The greatest words ever spoken - HE IS RISEN!
Friday was all about the darkness of our sin and the awesome grace of an awesome God - Saturday was about the tomb - Jesus was laid to rest and it seemed all hope was gone - then that early Morning - they found an empty tomb!
And because the TOMB was empty - our lives now are full!
HE IS NOT HERE - for our sakes HE died - for our sakes HE rose again - all for us! JESUS was slain to give to us life - HIS life - we should never forget that empty tomb - the stone has been rolled away - the SON though slain on FRIDAY is alive today - all HE spoke was true!
Let's not forgive we serve a living Savior - not one who is gone - but lives now in us! JESUS rose again - He put an explanation point on that - HE ROSE AGAIN! HE took the sting from death - Rejoice! Rejoice!
The Darkness of FRIDAY has given away to the light of EASTER - HE LIVES - HE LIVES - HE LIVES!
Happy Resurrection Day!!!!!!!

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth they (the angels) said unto them, "Why seek you the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!!!!
OUR LORD LIVES!
It's just like us to look in the wrong place - those seeking the body of JESUS didn't find HIS body alone - they found HIM!
The angels asked why seek the living among the dead?
Jesus endured the cross - but that was not the end -
for in three days HE would rise again-
Today is the day we celebrate what was done through the Son! Though He was murdered on Calvary - He rose again from the tomb and was seen by 500 witnesses -
Oh to see the Savior alive again - Oh to see HIS face-
why look for the living among the dead? Our Savior lives!
HE LIVES FOREVER! Rejoice dear family and friends - this is what it's all about - nothing else matters - just JESUS and what HE did for us - HE WON! WE WIN IN HIM!!!
No matter your circumstances today - rejoice in the risen LORD! For HE is no longer in the tomb, no longer on the cross but instead now lives in our hearts!!!!!!

The Walk of Jesus : Holy Week 2010• The Grave - Holy Saturday
Matthew 27:57-61
When the evening had come, there came a rich man of Arimathea named Joseph, who also himself was a Jesus' disciple: He went to Pilate and begged for the body of JESUS. Then Pilate commanded that the body be delivered. And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre and departed. And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
Joseph was a rich man - and also a follower of JESUS , he gave his new tomb to JESUS for he loved him - this was the least he could do he must have figured - Joseph placed a large rock at the door - and guards were placed there to be sure that Jesus' followers were not going to take His body away in the night - funny how they didn't count on the fact that JESUS would rise again just one day later -
Today we remember the grave - JESUS just breathed His last and Joseph had requested His body to burry it - I find it interesting that the two Marys are mentioned in this series of verses - it shows their great love for JESUS! Jesus was placed in a tomb - and was sealed in - no getting in or out for anyone but JESUS as you well know! Jesus went to the tomb having paid the price for our sins - having given to us salvation - having done all that was needed to save us! Jesus went to the tomb like we will go into our tombs - but unlike us - He would rise up again by His own power -proving once and for all that HE is KING of Kings and LORD of lords - HE would just spend three short days in this tomb - it must be noted that during this time the days began at sundown- not at dawn - our mind set is so much different then at this time -
Join me as we wait for JESUS to rise again - come Sunday all the horror of Friday will be behind HIM - HE will come out of the tomb - a tomb that was not even HIS - He would surpise about 500 people -and HiS followers will change the world-
Friday HE was on the cross - Saturday HE was in the grave -
SUNDAY HE WILL RISE AGAIN!!!!
JESUS DIED FOR YOU AND ME - OUR SINS PLACED HIM THERE BUT HIS LOVE FOR US KEPT HIM THERE! HE WILL RISE TOMORROW - LETS REMEMBER THE TOMB TODAY!
Coming Easter Sunday -
• The Resurrection!!!!!

EASTER NOTES:
JESUS was placed in a borrowed tomb - even in death HE had no place to lay HIS head - this place had to be given to HIM -
JESUS left heaven - HE didn't use HIS power to avoid the cross - but endured it for us - today we remember that JESUS died - and was burried in a borrowed tomb -
THE KING OF KINGS in a tomb - you can still hear the gasp from the angels!

The Walk of Jesus : Holy Week 2010• The Last Super - Wednesday
Luke 22:15 & 16
...and He said unto them: "With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: for I say unto you, I will not any more eat of thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of GOD!"
Today we are visiting the last supper of JESUS and HIS followers - Jesus said that He desired to have dinner with them before He was to suffer - the suffering would come a few hours after this dinner - Jesus knew this was the last time He would eat until He returned from the dead - He knew His time was short - He had his 11 find a place to hold this Last Supper - they did as He told them and it was set - the date with destiny was set - Jesus would eat with them one more time until He rose again and met them on the shore to eat fish - right now Jesus was talking to His followers and having a heart to heart - His time was short - it was during this dinner that Judas - filled with hate and evil - went into the night to sell Jesus to the religous leaders - Jesus' friend and follower had turned away and did the unthinkable - Judas sealed the deal - Jesus would be on the cross soon -
Judas only cared for himself - in the end - he ended his own life - Jesus washed the feet of the 12 - but one left - this dinner was His last - until He rose again - those who remained after Judas left - would soon suffer as well -
thier Savior would be taken away - and be charged like a common crimial except without sin - this dinner was very important - it was the last time JESUS would eat with His followers like this - in the future things would be different -
Jesus was showing them what it means to follow God - it means laying down your life - and giving yourself to others -
Jesus knew the cross was coming - He knew the pain He would endure - and He deemed us worth it!
Jesus is walking closer and closer to the cross - it's just up the hill - after prayer in the garden and arrest - Jesus would be lifted up - JESUS would die for our sins - and rise again....
Let's remember this last supper and when we celebrate it - remember what JESUS did for us - His great sacrifice is enough - it's all we need -
Let's sit at the table and recieve what GOD has for us -
let's worship JESUS and LORD and SAVIOR - not just over Holy Week -but over our whole lives..
Tomorrow we go to the garden - the place Jesus was when they took Him away to die - let's walk the path from the donkey ride to the open grave!
JESUS loves us so much that He willingly laid down HIS life - no one could take it from HIM - He laid it down! That's love!

The Walk of Jesus : Holy Week 2010• Final Instructions - Tuesday
John 17:26
Jesus speaking to the Father:
...and I have declared unto them Your name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith You have loved me may be in them ,and I in them....
Just moments before Jesus was going to be arrested - tried and found guilty of crimes (sins) He never commited - HE still had some teaching to do - some basic instructions before leaving Earth for His now 11 followers - that was to remember that while JESUS and the FATHER are one - we as HIS children should be one - these often bickering men often tried to see who was the greatest - were not being told that they must be one - it's all about putting our agenda aside for God's - this is a tough thing for us and it was tough for them - but Jesus asked of the Father for this to come to pass - in the midst of the looming cross - Jesus was more concerned for those left behind - it's all about Jesus putting His followers before Himself - He was willing to lay down HIS life for us - we don't deserve what JESUS did, in the story of Holy Week -we are heading toward the cross - it's in view now - soon they will come and capture Jesus by force -but before that we must go to the garden - the last place Jesus and the Disciples will be together as they have been - Jesus would soon suffer and die - and be burried - but right now - Jesus is still teaching - still showing those He loved what it means to be one - that's His goal - that we all be one - in unity - this does not mean that we must be like the world - it's not a compermise - it's all about God's kingdom coming before this world's kingdom - it's about Jesus willingly paying our sin debt off in HIS blood - today Jesus is walking toward the cross - His goal is coming to pass even today!
Let's follow Jesus to the garden - to the last supper - and to the cross itself - this journey takes us on a hard walk but it's good to look back and see Jesus as He did this for us!
Jesus asked the Father that we would be as close as Him and HIS Father - that's the kind of Love JESUS ask for - a love with no bounds - a love without limits - beloved - let's celebrate the fact that JESUS died for us - for our sins - and that He has covered all of them - there are none left - they have taken as far as the East is from the West - celebrate freedom today - remember JESUS and what HE said - get into HIS word - and let's follow....
JESUS LOVED US SO MUCH - HE PRAYED FOR US -
SOON HIS PRAYER WILL BE SO DEEP HE WILL SWEAT BLOOD -
LET THE FATHER'S LOVE SHOW YOU JESUS' LOVE

A Good Name
Proverbs 21:1
A good name is rather to be chosen then great riches, and loving favor rather then silver and gold.
What's in a name - Shakespear said a rose by any other name would smell just a sweet - when we have children - we often try to come up with a good name for them -
today I want to tell you about an even better name - it's the name GOD has given us HIS children - and the name HE gave HIS SON is the greatest name of them all!
In biblical times - the names given often was a reflection of the childs personality -
another thing I heard about names is this - some cultures don't name their children until they reach a certain age so they can be sure that the child will live -
this is sad but true - many areas of the world have many children who die from disease and maulntition - pray for them - back to the devo - Today's verse talks about a name being better then great riches - this is the truth - When God calls your name and you respond - He gets praise - and you get to know Him - He knows your name -
and your name if you know Him will be written in the Lamb's book of life -
one day GOD will call your name and you will go home - much can be said about our names - often we have no idea what their meaning is - but in a funny twist - often our names stick to us - and we begin to fullfill what our name means - I know my name means God is my Judge - that means only HE can judge me - or anyone else for that matter - let's remember that GOD has given us a name - and that name is who we are -
First and foremost we are His children - second we are the children of our parents -
we have identy in Christ and in this world - but knowing Christ and walking with HIM Is most important - so past by worldly riches and still with a good name!

• The Praise (Psalm Sunday) - Monday
Mark 11:9-10a
...and they that went on before, and they followed, cried, saying, Hosanna: Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD: (10)Hosanna in the Highest.
Today we begin the Holy Week series -
I appoligize for not doing a devo yesterday for Palm Sunday - however I will just cover that today....
Palm Sunday is the day in which our Lord Jesus came into the city of Jerselam - with the sole mission of dying for our sins a week later - Jesus came into the city riding on a donkey - this was what all kings did - but in HIS case - HE is King of Kings and Lord of Lords - He is GOD in the flesh - on this day it was like a parade - many worshiped JESUS this day - only to want HIM dead a week later - it's human nature - many want to follow the newest thing only to drop it a few days later -
JESUS came into the city as prophesy has dicated - Those who saw HIM got more of message then we do today - because we live in a different time - things that are written don't impact us like they did when it happened - we must get that back - today is a day of rejoicing for JESUS has come!
It's a day to celebrate the KING coming to the city to die -
HIS whole mission on Earth was to die for us and give us grace - JESUS has paid the price for us - it's not earned -
we must daily remember that - it's all about HIS grace -
let's walk with JESUS as He gets closer to the goal -
right now let's just worship HIM - like those spreading out their garments and palm branches - let's put our lives down at HIS feet and allow HIM to live in us -
Welcome to Holy Week -
Let's take some time this week to just seek God's face-
let's make sure to thank HIM for HIS SON - and for
HIS accoplishment of the goal set before HIM!
Let's praise the LORD - HOSANNA in the HIGHTEST!

Man's Own Way
Proverbs 20:24
A man's goings are of the LORD; How can a man then understand his own way?
There are two ways in which we can live this life - for GOD or for self -
either way - you serve someone - much of the time our human nature wants to make it all about ourselves - we love to talk about oursleves more then we like to listen what other people are doing -we are all selfish in that way - God is showing me more and more how I fall short - this is one area I struggle with - letting good and allow GOD to take control of my life - the flesh fights against such things constantly - we won't win this battle because it's a spiritual battle - only GOD can win it for us - often we think our way is the best way - but that's not true - God's way is always the best way -
He will never ever lead us in the wrong direction - however we ourselves will -
we will end up trying to please self over God - and that's a dead-end life - there is no life in that - it's empty and hopeless - but if we would allow GOD to show us the way in which we should go - and then follow HIM in that way - our lives would bring HIM more glory! We must be willing to set aside our wants - our desires and our needs - and not be self-centered - but instead Christ-centered - believe me - this is not easy - it's a dying to self that must take place - on our own - we will mess up - we will miss the mark -we will go the wrong way - let's pay attention to what GOD says - in HIS word - through others - and though prayer - without this -we cannot know HIM -
we must be willing to set aside what we want for HIS purpose - we must die to self inorder that CHRIST can live in us - and move though us - it's not an easy life - but it's the best life of all! Let's follow our LORD and SAVIOR to the ends of the earth -
and let's not fall prey to our own way!
Word to the wise: if we put self first - CHRIST has to take a back seat -
I want HIM in the front seat - in the drivers seat! How about you>?
BECAUSE OF CHRIST our selfish flesh will be crucified and killed!

Even a Child
Proverbs 20:11
Every child is know by his doings, whether is work is pure, and whether it be right.
What are we doing with our lives? I find it a daily struggle to get it all done!
I heard it said one time that GOD will give us enough time to do what we need to do each day - if we don't have time to do what we are doing - then many He didn't call us to do what we are doing - something has to give- we each get 24 hours - how do we spend that time? This verse today says that a child is know by what they do - we are the same - the world will see how we spend our time - often we waist much time - it's hard to believe in a single day how much time we have let slip through our hands - and before we know it's gone - we must take this with us when we go into our daily lives - every moment counts - let's remember what we do says a lot about who we are - let's not live with regrets when this life is over - let's not waste any more time!
Today's verse talks about a child - that even a child is judged by what he does -
we are as well - God looks at our lives and sees what we do with our time - HE sees what we do with HIS SON - He knows all even before it happens! The Right Fear
Proverbs 19:23
The fear of the LORD tends to life: and he that has it shall abide satisifed; he shall not be visited with evil.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom says the Book of Proverbs - this is the truth - when our relationship with Christ is correct - all else will fall into line! We must fear the LORD for HE alone is worthy of our fear - often we waste our greatest fears on this passing away world - often we fear what man can do to us - instead of fearing what GOD can do to us - thankfully HE sent JESUS to pay the price for our sin - or else we would alone have to face HIS wrath - HE gave us all we needed in HIS SON - "it's finished" cried JESUS from the cross - HE paid it all in full - how foolish it is to think we can some how earn it - we never ever could - none of us have lived perfect lives and that's what GOD demands - perfection - and only HIS SON could provide profection and nail it to the cross to take our sins away! Amen!
We must have the right fear in our hearts - we must put GOD in first place in our lives - this will mean we must give up anything that competes with our GOD in our lives - We must place all aside and run to JESUS with all we have! We must have the right fear - God should always have first place in our lives - we must fear HIM!
This is the beginning of knowledge - the good thing is right now - were ever you are - you can come to HIM and ask HIM to change your life by living in you - there is no waiting period for you to "Get your act together" There is no better time then right now - maybe you have walked with GOD for years - but that umph you used to have for Christ has faded - you can have it back today - right now!Just ask JESUS to come into your life - ask HIM to forgive all your sins -
HE alone can do it - fear HIM And it all work out - the problem is we often get cocky thinking we can do it without HIM - this is the biggest mistake we could ever make!HE ALONE IS WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE! Thank you JESUS!
Word to the wise: if would fear GOD like we should - all else will fall into it's right place.
BECAUSE OF CHRIST WE SEE THE MERCY OF THE GOD WE FEAR!

for 2/24/10
Heart Condition
Proverbs 19:3
The foolishness of man preverts his way: and his heart fretteth against the Lord.
To God anything done in our selfish human nature is otter foolishness - we think often we know better then GOD and this will prevert our way - with that said - it's clear we all have a heart condition - our flesh wants it's way - while the spirit wants what God wants - it's a constant battle - our unredeemed flesh is gonna die - but our spirit will live on forever - when our heart is not on the Lord - we will be frettful - we won't find any joy and we will be miserable if we have HIS SPIRIT within us - HIS SPIRIT won't allow us to enjoy sin any more - we can try it - and there is pleasure for a time but soon it's over and it was not worth it - it all boils down to our heart condition -
I have a phyiscal heart condition that limits me now - but even with it - my heart is still functioning - however it's not as strong as normal heart - in the same way our spiritual heart condition can do the very same thing - if our heart is not stayed on GOD then we will fail - we will fall - without GOD we can do nothing (John 15:5) We must be willing to daily and moment by moment - lay it all down - we must to try and take control - we must not try to make things go our way - we simply have to trust - only GOD can fix our heart condition - only GOD knows what we need - as I type these words I wonder why I contiune to worry - I contiune to doubt what GOD has said - I say this not to make myself look bad (I do that easy enough without any help! =-) It's to show the world that I don't have it all down pat - I don't always trust GOD like I should - I just want to confess that to you - remember as I type these words - I struggle too - the flesh some days gets the best of me - I want those days to be less and less -
So how is your heart condition today? Why not let GOD test your heart today - be fully open to HIM and allow HIM to do some surgery if needed to bring your heart back up to speed - Trust in the LORD and HE will guide your heart and your life!
Word to the wise: Our phyiscal heart beats to keep us alive - Our spiritual heart keeps our soul alive and ready for any command JESUS gives it!

To God anything done in our selfish human nature is otter foolishness - we think often we know better then GOD and this will prevert our way - with that said - it's clear we all have a heart condition - our flesh wants it's way - while the spirit wants what God wants - it's a constant battle - our unredeemed flesh is gonna die - but our spirit will live on forever - when our heart is not on the Lord - we will be frettful - we won't find any joy and we will be miserable if we have HIS SPIRIT within us - HIS SPIRIT won't allow us to enjoy sin any more - we can try it - and there is pleasure for a time but soon it's over and it was not worth it - it all boils down to our heart condition -
I have a phyiscal heart condition that limits me now - but even with it - my heart is still functioning - however it's not as strong as normal heart - in the same way our spiritual heart condition can do the very same thing - if our heart is not stayed on GOD then we will fail - we will fall - without GOD we can do nothing (John 15:5) We must be willing to daily and moment by moment - lay it all down - we must to try and take control - we must not try to make things go our way - we simply have to trust - only GOD can fix our heart condition - only GOD knows what we need - as I type these words I wonder why I contiune to worry - I contiune to doubt what GOD has said - I say this not to make myself look bad (I do that easy enough without any help! =-) It's to show the world that I don't have it all down pat - I don't always trust GOD like I should - I just want to confess that to you - remember as I type these words - I struggle too - the flesh some days gets the best of me - I want those days to be less and less -
So how is your heart condition today? Why not let GOD test your heart today - be fully open to HIM and allow HIM to do some surgery if needed to bring your heart back up to speed - Trust in the LORD and HE will guide your heart and your life!
Word to the wise: Our phyiscal heart beats to keep us alive - Our spiritual heart keeps our soul alive and ready for any command JESUS gives it!

Friendly
Proverbs 18:24
A man that has friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer then a brother.
Friends are an important part of our lives - and if we have friends - we have had to be friendly - this verse shows us that we must love others if we expect to be loved - I have been amazed at the love I have seen from those GOD has placed in my life -
last night a child who is in my Awana class told me hi and before I knew it - she gave me a big ol hug - I didn't ask for a hug - but I sure did need it - children seem to know how to pick up on our needs - I had something odd happen to be that is not so good as well - a good friend I have via AOL said I did something I really didn't do - they got mad and now will not talk to me - in the vain of yesterday's email about winning back someone offended - how do you appolgize for something you didn't do - I tried my best to say I was sorry and that what I was accused was not true - it shows how easy it is to lose a friend - this world in which we live in is not our home - I am reminded of this daily - we gain friends and we lose friends - but GOD is in total and complete control - I have to admit I am not very happy right now - I am hurt and hurting -trying to be as real as I can with those who recieve this daily - I guess the bottom line is friends are important - but GOD is more important - if staying with a friend means you turn your back on GOD don't do it - GOD loves us without condition this verse talks about a friend that sticks closer then a brother -that's JESUS HIMSELF!
Please be friendly with those around you - show them the love of CHRIST no matter what - remember JESUS Loved those who put HIM to death - lets remember HIS example - I am not sure if this makes sense tonight since I feel i've lost a friend -

Harder To Be Won
Proverbs 18:19
A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
Today's verse talks about a brother offended - this is a harsh reality in today's world - many are offended - many are seeking the truth but not really finding it in the lives of those called by Jesus' name - its the sad state of afiars of this world in which we live - where there seems to be very little difference between those in the Church and those outside of the church - the lines have blurred - and it should not be this way!
If we offend our brother - it will be so very hard to win them back - you can be forgiven an offense - but the consquences are long reaching - many have left the church for this very reason - they didn't find the acceptance they were promiced - this is not God's fault but ours! When someone leaves because of an offence - it's so hard to get them back into the fold - the enemy wants this to happen - many leave the church looking for acceptance and it seems the world is ready to taken them in -
so sad - the state of the world today - but God has a better way - He wants us to love each other and in this the world will see what real love looks like -
Are you loving your brothers and sisters in the LORD? We must start there before we can go outside the four walls of our church to love the lost and dying world around us - if we cannot love those inside the church - how can we love those outside the church?
This brings to mind a project I worked on years ago called Preach to the Streets -
maybe it's time to get that back into the light? We are called to preach the gospel - and sometimes this is to be done without words - with action - we can tell others we love them - but can we show them? Remember an offended person is hard to win back - but it's not impossiable - maybe GOD is calling you to help bring a brother or sister back into the fold? Why not answer this call - the Church needs you!
Word to the wise: Let's love one another so the world can see real true lasting love!

Let my words be few
Proverbs 17:27
He that has wisdom spares his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.
Has your mouth ever gotten you into trouble? I know mine has - and the trouble with the mouth - is it can speak both praises to GOD and curses to man - it's tough to tame the tongue - matter of fact - God's Word says that no one but GOD can do it!
We must let our words be few - in prayer GOD says not to use vain repetitions thinking that would make HIM hear us better - Proverbs says that a man who has wisdom will spare his words - another words - he won't run off at the mouth but will think before he speaks - we must place whatever we say before the LORD - we must be careful what we say and how we say it - what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart -- this is true - just try this some day - try not to say anything negative - it will be hard if you are used to saying negative things - it almost because natural or second nature - often we don't even realize what we say or how it effects others - we need to watch our mouths!
God has given us two ears and one mouth for a reason - we should listen twice as much as we speak - often in conversation we are so concerned with saying what we want to say - we don't even hear the other person - how selfish we can be - but if we would allow GOD to change our hearts - our speech would improve - in our own power it's hopeless - let's be slow to speak and quick to listen - let's do what GOD says -
Let our words be few - we don't have to speak much to show our love for GOD - we just need to follow Him - let our actions speak!

Real Strength
Proverbs 16:32
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty: and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city!
Anger is something that will destroy - it comes from not getting our way most of the time - it's a very selfish emotion - but can be used for good - God can be angry - and it's ok - we can be angry but it must be over something that is right - not a selfish whim - God says in HIS word to be angry but sin not - Jesus got angry and threw out those selling in His Father's House - anger in itself is not sin - it's what we do with - it's what gets us angry and how quickly - it must be noted that JESUS saw these people selling in His temple days before He ever went in and ran them out - He held His anger - He showed what it means to have real strength - most of us if we are honest would say our fuse is generally short - it does not take much to cause an explosion - this is not good - it's a weakness - not a strength as the world sees it - the world says to be strong - you must be angry - you must be mean - and you must get your way - Holy anger is good because it's against something that God hates - but selfish anger is not good - how are you at holding your anger at bay? Do you find yourself exploding often? Well there is a solution - we must allow GOD to have control of our anger - we must give it over to Him - in this we will find real true strength - the Word says that if we hold our anger - we are stronger then one who takes an entire city! Think about that today - our anger does not produce righteousness - our anger is all about us - we must release it to JESUS and let HIM have control! If you struggle with holding your anger - it's time to give up - we are weak in and of ourselves but not in HIS power! Give your anger over to GOD!
Word to the wise: How long is your fuse? In Christ it can be lengthened!

Do You Know?
Proverbs 27:1
Boast not yourself of tomorrow; for you know not what a day may bring forth!
Tonight when I opend the Word of God the pages opened to this verse - it caught my eye - how many times do we often boast of what we will do tomorrow or even next week for that matter - let me start off by saying there is nothing at all wrong with making plans -God's word says that we are foolish if we don't plan for tomorrow -but the point must be is that we cannot live in tomorrow any more then we can live in yesterday - once those 24 hours are spent - they are gone - and you cannot get them back - no matter what you do - if we spend all of our time in yesterday and tomorrow - we won't live in today! We have no idea what's coming tomorrow any more then the next guy - but the GOD we serve knows what tomorrow will bring! We often make boast of what we know nothing about - we are all human and all fall short - the truth of the matter is that we cannot clearly see tomorrow - it's too far away and our prespective of tomorrow is not as clear as we think it is - sure we can remember our past - and it's good to look back - but again we must live in today - today is all we have - and there are not any guarentees we will even see tomorrow - at least in the here and now - we will have victory one day in CHRIST! Days will come and go in this life but GOD remains - the same - unchanging - HE is all we need! Let's live one day at a time and not try to live the rest of our days in fear and worry - I need these words today -
let worry go - anxiety can take a hike - let's live in the peace of GOD that HE gives us -Yesterday is gone - tomorrow not yet here - right now is the present because it's a gift from GOD!

Happy?

He that handles a matter wisely shall find good: and whosoever trusts in the LORD , happy is he!
Today's verse steps on my toes big time! I have to admit some hard things right here and now - I am not happy as I should be - I am really down most of the time these days - I wish I had better news for everyone - but this life can become very tough and often these trials can cause us to get our eyes off God and what HE can do - HE can do anything - HE can fix any problem - HE can save anyone - we just have to believe HE can - when the trials of this life seem to be bigger then God we have a major problem - if we lack faith we will not be happy - now saying all that - even when you obey God there is no guarantee things will always go smooth - and you could actually say the more your trust HIM the tougher this world gets - that's because the enemy of our souls does not want us to have the joy that passes all understanding - it's about what we think about - it's about where our hearts are - Today's verse says those that trust in the LORD , happy are they! My question to ask of each of you is this . Are you happy?
Or are there things in your life you believe need to change - if so - join me in this little prayer - LORD JESUS - we confess that often we have failed to see just how big YOU and how really small we are and our problems - we seek YOUR face - we pray that YOU will change our hearts - challange us LORD to follow YOU no matter what - This life You have given us is a blessing - please forgive us through the blood of JESUS for complaining about our circumstances! Make us more aware that YOU are always there - we commit this life to YOU LORD JESUS!
In YOUR name - amen!
I hope you could pray that prayer in confidence that GOD is indeed in control and HE will bring to pass what is needed in each of our lives - our goal each day should be to please GOD above all else - I believe if we would strive to do that - we would be happier - and have the JOY that GOD give us through HIS SON JESUS!
