THE HOPE SERIES - PART 9
PSALM 16.9
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices:
My flesh shall also rest in Hope!

Today's verse talks about resting in Hope! Most Americans do not get enough sleep - this causes lost wages -it causes accidents on our roads and cost the health of the sleep deprived - why don't we get enough sleep? Most of it is our high pressure - fast paced lives - lives that are on the move -but mostly no much is really getting down - how many of us have taken the time to rest? I know this past year was so hard on me - I had to take numerous breaks away from the ministry - I had to pray - I had to met with JESUS and HE recharged me - He alone is our hope - He is our Hope -
A song by the group Avalon is playing as I type these words - the song talks about how God is like oxygen - we have to have it -
just like we must have God in our lives if we expect to have hope - but our fast paced life does not bode well with a personal relationship with Christ - we must be willing to rest -to stop - to be still and know that HE is God - so often we are so tried we fail to serve God with all we have - God designed our bodies so they would require rest- many a college student has had many a sleepless night - its easier when you are younger - but as we age - we need sleep to repair the damage of the long day - in the same way our relationship with Christ should be like oxygen - We must put Him first in order to have any hope at all in this world full of hopeless -- another song I am thinking about is God believes in Lost Causes! Amen!
God wants you to know HIM today - and that is the only way any of us receive hope - Have you trusted your life to CHRIST? Today is the day - come to HIM now -ask HIM to save you - and then you will have real lasting hope! Its your choice! Hope in CHRIST!
BUILDING MOMENT: IF WE PLACE OUR LIVES IN GOD'S HANDS - WE WOULD BE A LIGHT TO THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD! THAT WILL BRING HOPE!
Because we have CHRIST - our lives should reflect Him!
