NO CONDEMNATION

ROMANS 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation
to them which are in CHRIST JESUS,
who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit!

I have good news today for everyone that is in CHRIST!
If we are in CHRIST there is no condemnation!!!
We are set free from the bounds of the past - those sins in which we have committed in the past have been throw as far as the East is from the West-
Jesus came into this world with the whole purpose to die for our sins -
they have all been placed on HIM and now we can walk in that forgiveness -
but sadly many of us don't walk in this - many of us feel we are condemned even though CHRIST has paid it all - many of us are downtrodden when we should be uplifted - many feel the weight of the past and its us that won't let go - God has already forgiven us - but we hold onto it - and that is wrong - I even go as far as say its a sin - when we feel unforgiven and GOD has forgiven us - we basically call HIM a liar- I know that seems a little harsh - but its true none the less - lets walk as the children of the KING we are - we are no longer condemned but set free by JESUS CHRIST!
HE alone laid down HIS life for us - HE paid them in full -
so if today you feel condemned - maybe you need to be sure you are really saved - or else the enemy of your soul has told you a bunch of lies -
That's what he does - he does not want us to walk in the light but rather in darkness! The Light and darkness cannot dwell in the same place-
The WORD says that we were once darkness but now we are Light!Live in the light! JESUS has paid it all! Amen - Rejoice!

BUILDING MOMENT: THE PAST SINS ARE GONE - GOD ONLY SEES HIS SON NOW - HIS BLOOD POURED OVER OUR LIVES!

Because we have CHRIST - we have freedom from condemnation!

BUY THE TRUTH

Proverbs 23:23
Buy the Truth and sell it not; also wisdom,
Instruction and understanding.

I thought today's verse was very odd -what does it mean to buy the truth? I prayed about this and all I feel lead to say is that buying the truth must mean that we accept it - and take ownership of it - Jesus said He was the Way - the Truth and the Life -so He is truth - we must place our lives in HIS mighty hands - since HE is truth - whatever He says is true - HE cannot lie - the verse also says to gain understanding and instruction - these go hand in hand - without wisdom there can be no understanding - with understanding comes the truth - for the enemy of our souls is the father of confusion - God will never make us confused - He is always clear with us - He is mighty and lifted up - He alone has the wisdom we need - HE alone is the truth that we need in our lives - and HE allow has saved us for such a time as this! Buy the truth - and don't sell it - but we should be willing to give it away to others so they too will have God's truth in their lives and hearts - We must be willing to go where GOD calls us to go - sometimes this means to stay put - other times it means to pull up the roots of our lives and go - following JESUS all the way -
May the truth of JESUS fill your heart with praise today - may you know HIS wisdom and HIS grace today - and if you see someone who needs direction -tell them to follow JESUS - HE is the only way - and that's the truth!

BUILDING MOMENT: WHEN THE TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD GETS INTO OUR HEART - THINGS CHANGE!

The Beginning

Proverbs 1.7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction!

Today's verse says that the beginning of wisdom is fearing God - we must fear God because HE is over us - HE is so powerful all HE has to do is say the word and we are done- but with this POWER - HE is gracious to us - after all He sent HIS only SON to die in our place - He came so far He even became flesh for us - HE deserves our worship for no other reason then the fact that HE made all of us - and in HIM we have our being - HE made us and we belong to HIM and once saved -we are no longer our own - our lives are no longer our own - they belong to God! When we put GOD In the right place in our lives -everything fits in line - we must always place GOD in the first place in our lives - we should always seek HIS guidance - we should always live by faith instead of sight - this means some very scary times - for lack of control for us is the hardest thing - true wisdom says we must place our lives in God's hands - so HE can live the life through us -that's the beginning of wisdom-
let's worship GOD with a holy fear - and Praise HIM despite the storms of life!

BUILDING MOMENT: NO MATTER WHAT - GOD IS IN CONTROL!

Ecclesiastes 8.13
But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall He prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he does not fear before God...

What is your life built on? Is your foundation sure and true? Or is it built on the things of this world- the joys of this season? Or is your life built on the solid rock of JESUS CHRIST? Many claim to know Christ and yet really don't know Him -this can be seen each Sunday in churches across this land - some are there only to get their time in - then live as they want - it is not only effecting others within the church- but those on the outside as well -when they hear us confess with our mouth and yet our lives speak a different gospel - the world will be lead astray - we as Christ followers need to be sure we have the sure foundation in our lives - many fake it and make a bad name for those who really follow Jesus - Many put their faith only in what they can see -touch and understand - few want to venture out of the boat to walk on the water toward Jesus - Many have hidden agendas - they may seem like lambs on the outside but inside they are wolves - this is nothing new - during Jesus' ministry He had to call out many along the way - He could see right to the heart of the matter - nothing gets past Jesus - so if you are living a lie today - repent - return to JESUS - and if you are following JESUS continue on the path that HE has set before you - we must remember that the evil will parish - this is a sad thought - its our mission to reach the lost for JESUS - but its not only about speaking the truth - its about living the truth - none of us can make it apart from JESUS - allow HIM to live the life in you - fear God and worship HIM!

BUILDING MOMENT: WHAT WE BUILD OUR LIVES ON WILL DETERMINE WERE WE STAND!

Ecclesiastes 8.12
Though a sinner do evil a hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before Him...

Sometimes it seems like all the bad things happen to the good people and while those who do evil seem to continue in their way without any harm -
this is just the way of this evil world - but evil will not win the final battle - so it is with those who fear God and follow His ways - the World will not respect us for our choices - they will not understand when we surrender all to Jesus - they will think we are crazy to trade it all in and follow after the LORD - a song by Mercy Me - called Crazy sums up these feelings -should we trade what's to come for a little time of pleasure? That would be crazy to trade this world for eternity goes this song and that is so true - many times our focus is off and on us - and this world - and we begin to take a step away from Jesus and a step toward the world - Jesus has told us we can be in the world but not of the world - we have to be willing to go outside our zones of comfort and present the gospel to those outside the walls of the church - to the world that is crazy - but when God calls you - its crazy when you don't heed His call - There has been something God had been calling me to for a long time - but I kept saying I cannot do this or that and finally God said - you are right - you cannot do it - but I can said God and now I am doing what God has called me to do - wish I would have answered the call earlier - but God knew when the time was right!
So follow after CHRIST with all you have and let the world think what they want - I heard a quote today - "what other's think of us is none of our business" try one day living your life that - and follow God no matter where HE leads you-
Those who fear the LORD will see Him!

BUILDING MOMENT: LIVE TO PLEASE GOD AND NOT THE WORLD!

Because we have CHRIST - we can go against the world's order!

Meaning In Life:The Study of Ecclesiastes
part 25

Ecclesiastes 8.5
Whosoever keeps the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man's heart discernment
both time and judgment.

Today we return to the Meaning in Life series. Today's verse talks about keeping God's commands - its important that we live lives of full obedience to God - God expects perfection - and He has already given us His Son Jesus and the help of the Holy Spirit - one reason we don't always follow God's commands is our selfish - self-centered human nature -let's face it - we want what we want - when we want it - no questions asked - most of us want to get by with what we can get by with and listen to what God says when its convenient - a real life that is holy and separated for God's use is a life of full obedience - we cannot have the attitude that if we just do better then the other guy -we will be ok - God has not changed at all what He expects - but He has given us a way to make it - its through Jesus and Him alone - that's the way God made this world -we can either do things our way or HIS way. The choice is always ours - God will never force us to do anything - now He will lead us if we ask HIM too -
We must ask God daily for wisdom - the Book of James makes that remark over and over again - a wise man will have discernment in their lives - they will judge things in their lives -and they will reach toward God and allow HIM to have full access to their lives - men of honor - men who are not afraid to stand up to what is right! Men who are sold out to JESUS - now if us men would follow God like that -this world would be a different place - our wives - our children would be different -allow God to change your life - give Him all you have - and this will bring total meaning to your life! Amen!

BUILDING MOMENT: When GOD builds our lives - our foundation is tried and true - if we try and build our lives on anything else - our lives will fall apart.

Because we have CHRIST - we have holiness!

Let every soul be subject to the higher powers.
For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Today we will have a new President - Obama will take office this day - in response to this what is our job? I don't often venture far into politics but today I feel that I have to take that step to explain some things - the Word says that we are required as good witness of God to obey those whom He has put into authority over us - if we cannot submit to earthly authorities set up by God how can be submit to God? God has allowed Obama to be President this time in all of history - many say this is History making - the fact that Obama is a black man makes many stand up and shout - finally! But the truth of the matter it is God that put him over us - It is God that ordained it - for whatever reason - God has allowed this - we cannot sit around questioning why God allowed Obama to reach the highest office of our nation - but we are called upon to submit - even though we may not agree with his policies or what he may believe -we are called to submit - like it or not - we are to represent Christ in all we do -
We must step aside and allow God to do what HE knows is best - and just submit all the way - now this does not mean we have to agree with anything Obama does or says - but it does mean we must submit - in this life we will never ever get away from submitting to someone - its a fact of life -something we all must deal with - With all that said- I congratulate President Obama - I praise God for this new day - lets join together in lifting up the leader of the free world - and remember that God has allowed this for His glory for His plan - this is another reminder that its not about us at all - its all about God and His glory! Lets support Obama when and were we can - the bottom line is obedience to God at all times - He knows best -

Martin Luther King Jr Day

JOHN 17.11
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your own Name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are (one).

Today we celebrate the vision of a man - one man - a man who was for peace - for equality - for the rights of all people - Martin Luther King Dir was that man - he longed for the day when we would all be one - black, yellow & white -that while we are different - our needs are the same - I need to belong - a need to love and be loved - a need to be heard - a need to be understood - American is such a place where this can happen - the Dream that Dr. King had is still in the hearts of many -as a nation we are divided in many ways - to the right and to the left - where is the middle ground - we can agree to disagree - Dr. King was killed for his belief in peace, freedom and equality - but his dream didn't die with his body - no it continues on even to this very day - tomorrow President Elect Obama will be sworn into office -now you may not agree on much with him - but at the same time we are commanded to submit to those God puts over us in Authority - like it or not - to have a man who is not white be President does bother many people - but we need to remember we are all called to be one - I must inject something right here - the world has one idea of what it means to be one and God has another - Jesus our Lord said He desired for us all to be one - this does not mean that Jesus says there are many ways to heaven - but in this He means we must come into agreement that He is Lord and that apart from Him there is no eternally with Him in Heaven - to be one as God sees it is to bring glory to God and love one another - God has given us no command to hate those who disagree with us or Him - He simply calls us to love others in His name - Dr. King's legacy is alive and well today - celebrate your freedom - and what the freedom fighters have fault so hard for - lets me one like JESUS commands us to be one - Together we can change this world- together under the banner of Christ -we can be agents of change - today - tomorrow and forever more-
Today we salute Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a true freedom fighter! God bless you and God bless America!

FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT - 1.16.09

2nd Corinthians 4.8-9
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not forsaken, cast down, but not destroyed!

Today's verse gives all of us hope -hope that God is always gonna be there - that God will never leave nor forsake us - that He would leave the 99 to go after #100 - that even as we suffer in this life - we will not lose hope - for our hope is in CHRIST! The beginning devotional series this year talked about hope - and here comes the subject again -there is a reason - today many are suffering - many feel as if they have lost all hope -many feel left behind or forgotten - there seems not to be much love these days - with the economy facing hard times, people losing their jobs, and layoffs and everything else - this makes people down because that's where they put their hope- many want a perfect life free from trouble - however JESUS warned us that in this life we would have trouble - and in today's verse Paul writes about it - we have all been there -down in the dumps - some however cannot seem to get out of the shed of their lives - they are stuck - looking for hope in many things - but only true hope is found in our Lord JESUS! Only HE can save us - only HE lived the perfect life - He is not waiting to punish us - He loves us - He allows what He allows for His purpose - the problem is many of us are so focused on our circumstances -we cannot see the Light at the end of the tunnel - if you are down today - just look up - JESUS is with you - HE will never leave you - there is nothing that can take His love away from you! I paid the price and He is our hope -- apart from HIM we can do nothing (John 15:5) But in HIM we can do all things (Phill 4:19) God is with us therefore who can be against us? Only GOD can bring us hope and only GOD can lift us up when we are down!
BUILDING MOMENT: WHERE OUR FOCUS IS DEPENDS ON WHERE OUR TRUST IS - WHOM DO YOU LOOK FOR WHEN YOU NEED HELP?
Because we have CHRIST - we have HOPE, PEACE, LOVE, JOY.....
1.16.09 - Building on the WORD
EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS LIKE GOD HAS LEFT YOU - HE IS CLOSER THEN YOU THINK! JUST TRUST IN HIM - HE IS THERE - ALWAYS!

Why do you believe?
JOHN 6.26
Jesus answered them and said, "Verily, verily I say unto you, you seek Me not because you saw the miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Jesus had just performed the miracle of taking a boy's lunch and feeding 5,000 plus women and children- the people that Jesus addresses just saw this miracle - but it was not Jesus that they wanted -they wanted to be filled with earthly things- boy that can be said of many of us today - even those who profess to believe Jesus is Lord and Savior of the world- some just want enough Jesus to be saved but not enough to begin to walk and act like Him -this is harsh reality - many follow Jesus for what they can gain - sometimes its a business deal - if they can get a customer - they will go to church to get them - but have nothing at all to do with the real purpose - many follow Jesus because that is what they family has always done - kind of riding on the coattails of their parents- Why do you believe?
This is a question we need to daily ask ourselves - Do we believe because Jesus has given us worldly things? Or because HE laid down His life for us? We must remember that its all or nothing with Jesus - either we follow Him totally or not at all - I am afraid there are many who think they know Jesus and yet really don't even have a clue who HE is - this is very sad - I think we all could use a review of our faith to be sure we really are of the faith of Christ. We must be willing to leave everything to follow Him - many of us have one foot in the world and one in Jesus - He wants you to jump in with both feet! Why do you believe? The answer is very important!
BUILDING MOMENT: It's not so much what we say -its what we do -we can say we follow JESUS and stay in our seats - this is not what it means to walk with JESUS!
Because we have CHRIST - we believe!
1.15.09 - Building on the WORD
FAITH - BELIEVING IN WHAT YOU CANNOT SEE!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT - 1.14.09

Prayer Made Perfect
Romans 8.26
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

The subject of prayer has been all over me today - to begin with a group of 2 people at work invited me to join their prayer team - to go and pray after work over the office - God has ordained this and at the same time today's and yesterday's devos are about prayer -
Today's verse begins with saying we at times have no idea what in the world to pray - we just put our prayers out - but the neat thing that I have found is that God takes our imperfect prayers and makes the perfect - for the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings that cannot be uttered - to me this means constantly the Holy Spirit is interceding for us - Jesus Christ is our intercessor - He takes our prayer and presents them to God the Father - they may not come out right down here but when Jesus gets done with them - they are prefect - Sometimes we pray for things that we think we want but in reality - God knows better - We might as well be honest with God in our prayers -HE knows what is going on in our lives and we cannot hide a thing from Him - we must be honest in prayer - sometimes we pray and think God does not hear us - but I am here to tell you God hears all your prayers - this makes me think about that movie Bruce Almighty - the main character began to hear all the prayer and he could not handle it - thankfully God can handle all our prayers - the amazing thing is He hears them all - so rejoice in that today- know that even when your prayers are not perfect when they come form you - Jesus makes them perfect - Praise HIS mighty name!
BUILDING MOMENT: Prayer is much simpler then we make it- its just a conversation between us and our Father God! Pray - just do it!
Because we have CHRIST - our prayers are made perfect!

...take it to the LORD In prayer!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT - 1.13.09

Will He Hear Our Cry?
JOB 27.9
Will GOD hear his cry when trouble comes upon him?

This question comes late in the book of Job - Job has lost everything and now his friends have accused him of some hidden sin -that must be the cause of this distress they believe and yet to God - Job is righteous - so righteous in fact satan challenges God to bring some bad things to pass so that Job will deny Him - but all this bad has come to pass and Job is left with nothing but questions - and yet has not cursed God at all - proving what God has said about Job - even so - the human part of Job must have been under great direst - he was at his wits end - or at the end of himself - he does question why did God allow all this calamity to enter his life - and finally asks this question - will God hear him? Many times we feel cut off from God - be it sinful things we have done - or just feeling that God cannot possibly love us - sometimes we all feel like our prayers don't do anything at all - its as if God is not hearing them - but sometimes His answers are not what we had in mind - its as if we do hear and see the answers but don't like them and then go back to prayer again to get what we want - again as I said yesterday it is not about is - its all about God - I know He hears our prayers -but sometimes His answer is wait -other times its no and we just want to push and push till we get the results we have in mind - that my friend is not faith at all - we must trust God and submit to what HE wants to do in our lives - Will HE hear our cries for help - Yes! If you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ your first prayer should be accepting Him as your Savior - and then you can being a prayer life with God -
We must go through JESUS for HE is our intercessor with God - there is no one better for that job - when we pray - lets trust God for the answers even when they don't come when we want them or expect them! God knows our needs even before we ask -what an Awesome God we serve - Praise HIS name!
BUILDING MOMENT: Being mature in our faith means sometimes having to wait and trust and obey - before we get any answers!
Because we have CHRIST - our prayers are heard!

His Riches
PHILLIPPIANS 4.19
But my GOD shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!

Those who know Jesus as Lord and Savior are now the adopted children of the King - We have a royal priesthood that began with Jesus and ends with His return - all we have does not belong to us but to GOD who made all things and things exist to bring Him glory -it is not about us - however God wants to bless us - He does not have to bless us - but chooses to - He loves us and in that love He offers forgiveness of our sins and eternal home with Him forever - He also wants to bless our lives in the here and now - we must be careful not to worship what He gives us instead of Him - anything that comes between us and God is nothing less then an idol - God is a jealous God and He won't share worship with anyone - the good news today is that we have riches in CHRIST - I don't mean physical riches - for many of us struggle with bills and live pay check to pay check - but forever God will meet our needs - notice no where does it say He will meet our wants - but He does want to bless us -just not in ways we may call blessing - God may allow some trials in your life - He has a purpose for that - He understands what it means to live down here -He has been here and done that! His riches are limitless - while the riches of this world will one day draw to a close - if you have not read the end of the BOOK then you may have missed the fact that everything in the here and now is going to be gone one day - so why hold onto this stuff in this world while our treasure should be in Heaven! Lets remember that the GOD we serve owns it all! Amen!
BUILDING MOMENT: Many times we call things ours - when in reality it all belongs to God - lets live life that way! Always!
Because we have CHRIST - WE HAVE ALL WE REALLY NEED!

THE HOPE SERIES - PART 10 - FINAL
EPHESIANS 1.18&19
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened: that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power!

There is much hope given when God calls us to do something -but we must listen -we must be willing to go where He tells us to go - and we must walk in obedience - we cannot do it without His power - In Christ alone we have Hope - and that hope is found in His calling on your life - I have to admit there was something God had called me to do but I was not very willing to answer that call - and until I did - there was not much that could bring me any joy - that was until I answered the call and I am now walking in the Hope that HE lone gives me - there are many in the world today that are after the things that are passing away - nothing lasting in those things -we all should come to point in our lives where we want to leave a legacy - and that legacy if we allow it to be -will be a witness to the world that we trusted and followed Christ in all we did - if you have noticed this world is passing away - all the things we hold dear will one day be no more -if we put all our trust and hope in things - we will not leave a legacy worth leaving - we must be willing to make hard choices and follow Jesus with all we have - He want to use you today - He wants to give you hope and a future - He has a mission just for you - will you this day accept what God has been calling and calling you to do? Or will you continue on your way - doing what you want and ignoring HIS call - the choice is yours right now - this very day - today you must choose who you will follow! The World or JESUS!
Hope comes from a heart that is so focused on God that the world around us passes away - it no longer has a hold on us -
now that is real lasting hope!
BUILDING MOMENT: BUILD YOUR LIFE ON THE ROCK AND YOU WON'T FALL PREY TO THE SANDY AND SLIPPERY SLOPE OF THIS WORLD!
Because we have CHRIST - we have lasting real hope!

I hope I brought out the truth that we have HOPE in CHRIST alone! NOTHING ELSE WILL GIVE US THAT HOPE - THE HOPE FOR TOMORROW - FOREVER WITH GOD -

Today's verse talks about resting in Hope! Most Americans do not get enough sleep - this causes lost wages -it causes accidents on our roads and cost the health of the sleep deprived - why don't we get enough sleep? Most of it is our high pressure - fast paced lives - lives that are on the move -but mostly no much is really getting down - how many of us have taken the time to rest? I know this past year was so hard on me - I had to take numerous breaks away from the ministry - I had to pray - I had to met with JESUS and HE recharged me - He alone is our hope - He is our Hope -
A song by the group Avalon is playing as I type these words - the song talks about how God is like oxygen - we have to have it -
just like we must have God in our lives if we expect to have hope - but our fast paced life does not bode well with a personal relationship with Christ - we must be willing to rest -to stop - to be still and know that HE is God - so often we are so tried we fail to serve God with all we have - God designed our bodies so they would require rest- many a college student has had many a sleepless night - its easier when you are younger - but as we age - we need sleep to repair the damage of the long day - in the same way our relationship with Christ should be like oxygen - We must put Him first in order to have any hope at all in this world full of hopeless -- another song I am thinking about is God believes in Lost Causes! Amen!
God wants you to know HIM today - and that is the only way any of us receive hope - Have you trusted your life to CHRIST? Today is the day - come to HIM now -ask HIM to save you - and then you will have real lasting hope! Its your choice! Hope in CHRIST!
BUILDING MOMENT: IF WE PLACE OUR LIVES IN GOD'S HANDS - WE WOULD BE A LIGHT TO THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD! THAT WILL BRING HOPE!

ROMANS 5:3-5
...And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulations work patience; and patience, experience, and experience, hope: and hope makes us not ashamed, because the love of God is shed aboard in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us..

We have been talking about Hope for a week now - I hope I have opened the door to hope for you - all we need is God's Word and His Spirit to reveal His truth - Today's verses talk about tribulation -its funny to talk about tribulation and hope at the same time -they seem polar opposites - but God's Word says that when it has its perfect way - trials of various kinds can bring us hope - we all have a cross to bear - for some it will be harder then others, but that's because God has custom made all the trials to fit what He wants to do in our lives -through the pain - the bloodshed and the depression there is hope - Hope the Word says does not disappoint - we have hope all because Jesus laid down His life for us - not only that God has given us His Spirit to lead and guide us - and to protect us from this evil world - just one glance at the Tv or the Newsstand and you will find nothing but bad news - for many this world is all there is - but for us who have the Hope of JESUS -we are just passing through - Hope is what comes out of trying times - I saw an interview last night with the actor Patrick Swazey - as you may know he is dying - but yet he spoke of the hope he has - I believe he is close to having a relationship with God through Christ - he is very close - but sadly without the hope of Christ - all of us are hopeless - I am so thankful Christ laid down His life for me - it amazing that in such a fallen and evil world -we can have hope - but hope does not come from this world at all - only from God - Are you hopeful today? or has the trails of this life got you down? We all just need to turn to JESUS and turn away from this world- which is not our home - Where is our hope?
Our Hope is in CHRIST alone!
BUILDING MOMENT: Trials can either bring us closer to JESUS or further away - its all in how you look at them!
Because we have CHRIST - we have great hope!

which is CHRIST in you, the hope of glory!

Before Christ came -there was those who were called by God - a Holy Nation - Israel - these were those God had selected to be His people - and yet they rejected Christ His Son and to this day don't believe He is the Savior of the world - however because of this - the Gentiles could hear the message of Christ and be saved - it was no longer only for God's chosen - but for the whole world- this brought the hope to all - no one is left out if they confess with their mouths Jesus is Lord and live for Him in their lives - The hope of Glory is Christ in us - the fact is that Jesus now lives in us - those who trust Him as Lord and Savior - He takes up residence in our hearts by faith - I have been learning about the temple and the tabernacle in BSF - as we have been studying the life of Moses - and it was interesting to see that while the WORD calls our bodies the temple of the Holy Spirit - the truth is that the temple layout shows how this looks -
Christ dwells in our hearts if we put our trust in Him - He wants to shine in our lives -HE wants to show others the hope that we have through us - its not about us any longer -but all about Jesus Christ - our lives no longer belong to us - but to Him - He is our hope -
The fact that He would choose to live in us is amazing -its a Mystery says Paul - and that's the truth - Christ says it - so I believe it!Allow CHRIST to live in your today! That is the hope of glory!

This series has been very enjoyable - just to know where our hope is says a lot about where our lives will be going - if our hope is only in ourselves and in what we can do -we will never live the life God has for us - but if we are willing to trust in the LORD - believing what we cannot see and putting all our hope in HIM and HIM alone -He alone is worthy to be worshipped and He longs to have a personal relationship with each of us - He made us and love us with an undying love -He loves us like no one else does - He knows us better then anyone - and He is willing that none should parish! He longs to see that one lost lamb come home - This the God of all hope -the Lord Jesus Christ who came as a babe in a manager to bring us the hope of all hopes -forgiveness of our sins - this alone is our hope - in the cross of Christ -Jesus laid His life down in perfect obedience to God - God has to punish sin - He is righteous and holy and has no other option - He cannot work among sin - He must draw us to Himself and change our heart - this is our Hope - Christ in us is the Hope of Glory - that God would dwell in us period is a miracle of all miracles -
Where is your hope today? If your answer is in anything but God alone - you will never fulfill that perfect will of God for your life-
so take some time today - check your heart and ask God to reveal Himself to you - then you too will have the hope we speak of!It is in CHRIST alone! Praise HIS mighty name!

...For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that plows should plow in hope; and that he that threshes in hope should be a partaker of His hope...

Whatever we are called to do -we should do with Hope in mind - the farmer plants in hopes that there will be rain and sunshine so his crops may grow- and many of us who get into our cars daily hope we make it to and from work without harm - we have to have hope for this to happen - the question that always comes up is where is our hope! I have asked that question many times during this series - because its very important - where we place our trust says a lot about our faith - the world around us wants to be sure we really believe what we say we believe and its not about words but actions - we can say all day what we believe but when action is put behind it - people take notice - The Word for today says that he that plows should do so in hope - those who have put their hope and trust in JESUS CHRIST will have eternal life - but not only that -abundant life in the here and now- now this does not mean we will have a life without trouble - but instead of life that is in God's hands -He can take us through any trial and brings us through with flying colors - He is that powerful! Lets put our hope in JESUS for HE alone is the pathway to God the Father - there are many however who don't put their hope in Christ but instead in themselves - this becomes little more then idol worship - we can ourselves be an idol if we place ourselves before God -meaning we say we know more then He does - remember JESUS is our hopegiver! Praise HIS name -
He gave His life so we could have forgiveness of sin -so that could spend forever with Him one day - That is our hope! amen!

And now, LORD, what do I wait for? My hope is in You!

What hope do you have in your life today? Is your hope in the money in your bank account -the house you live in - the job you go to week by week - is it in the earthly relationships you have - is it in your friends - in your family - in the President? Where is your hope? If its not in JESUS and HIM alone - you will never be complete and you will always lack hope - if you place your hope in anything or anyone else -you will be let down - many invest money to make money - and so long as they are making money all is good - as long as they have friends all is well - as long as they this or that -they feel they are ok - but putting your trust in those things will always leave you wanting more - Jesus has a better idea - He came so that would have hope- He came to give us the Living Water so we would never thirst again- that's hope right there - in CHRIST alone -only JESUS came down from heaven - only Jesus died on the cross in payment of our sins - HE came as the Lamb to be slain - He came to honor God the Father - His mission was totally successful - all these things in this life are just passing away - they won't last - but JESUS will - where is your hope today? Our hope is in CHRIST and HIM alone -there is no place else for us to go - who is like our God? The answer is no one!
Put all your hope and trust at God's throne - in CHRIST alone!
BUILDING MOMENT: THE THINGS OF THIS WORLD ARE SINKING SAND - BUILD YOUR LIFE ON THE ROCK! STAND STRONG IN CHRIST! HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE FOREVER!

For we are saved by HOPE; but hope that is seen is not hope; for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for?

We all seem to have a vision problem - we have this desire to see God at work and when we don't "See" Him doing anything we begin to worry - much of what God does is not seen by our eyes - Much of this world is more then visual - we must see with the eyes of faith -this means believing even when it seems useless - even when it seems like you are going backwards from the goal - remember God works at a different pace then we do -we must remember that hope that is seen is not hope at all - we need to get to a point in our faith where we no longer have to see God - but trust Him especially when we cannot see Him - this past year was the hardest of my life -hands down - its been so hard to keep focus on Jesus when all around me seems to be falling apart - we all have a vision problem -we need to look closer at our lives to see the hand of God - He is active - He is here - and He will never forsake us - There is our HOPE in CHRIST alone - He is our only hope - He is there when we can no longer see Him - He is at work as we sleep - as we worry and as we have the faith to believe He is doing something even when we don't see it -
there is a story of a blanket that when seen from the bottom looked like a mess - just jumbles of threads with no real meaning -but seen from above - it all fit together just right -that's how our lives are in God's hands - He has a plan and you can count on it - Lets adjust our vision so we can believe even when we do not see - Jesus said that blessed is he who believes and yet has not seen- would Jesus call you blessed? Lets gaze on the LORD of LORDS - He is there!
BUILDING MOMENT: DO YOU ONLY LIVE FOR WHAT YOU CAN SEE?
Because we have CHRIST - we have the eyes of faith!

Who against HOPE believed in hope, that he (Abraham) might become the Father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall your seed be!

The Word says that Abraham who against hope, hoped that what God had said was true and that it would come to pass - as I see it - we are all in the same boat - we must believe what God has said even when things do not seem to line up like we think they should - God has a plan - but many times it does not look like our plan -that is because once you come to know CHRIST you must abandon your plans for your life and allow God make plans for you - to allow Him to lead your life - to allow Him to be your hope -not what you can do of your own effort- the hope point of the Christian life is surrender to the Lordship of Christ - allow Jesus to live His life though you -this is the hardest part - many of us have been taught to be self-sufficient - to trust ourselves and just go out and do it - relying on someone else the world calls being weak - but being a Christ follow is not about weakness at all - its about giving up - its beyond being weak - its being desperate - I am afraid many of us live comfortable lives - not that there is anything wrong with that - but if we are not careful - we will begin to hope in what we can do instead of what God can do - many of our lives in a mess - a mess only God can fix - and in this lies our hope - in CHRIST alone - Hope against Hope that GOD is going to do what HE says He will do - He will never fail us - never will He forsake us - we have this promise and that is our hope!

JOHN 1.1
In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD....

I thought the best place to begin the new year - the new ministry and the devotional series was at the beginning - John's gospel says that in the beginning was the WORD - that the WORD was with GOD - then John makes a stunning statement- the WORD was GOD!
So building on our lives on the WORD is not just meaning through the Bible - but through a personal and intimate relationship with CHRIST - the WORD - This series is all about hope -and after such a hard year for many - it was time to write about hope - what is your hope?
if you answer that its in anything or anyone other then JESUS CHRIST - then before you can even have hope - you must know the Hopegiver- JESUS - Today if you would just admit you are lost and in need of the Savior - you will instantly have hope - for in CHRIST alone does all hope exist - with a new year rolling in and a calendar full of life yet to live - its time to slow down -take a moment and seek God - if you know HIM then continue to walk with Him - if you once had an intimate relationship with JESUS but have walked away - you can come right back today for the GOD of all HOPE is ready to once again live in and through you - maybe you have never met JESUS - today you can met HIM - just admit to HIM you are a sinner and that only HIS BLOOD will save you - its not by what you can do but by what JESUS has already done-

HOPE IN CHRIST - FOR HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE!

Here at Livin in the Word - this has become a tradition -
this year while one of the toughest of my life -has also produced a heart of gladness in my life - hence the name of this year's series is Rejoice! No matter what your circumstances you can rejoice in CHRIST this CHRISTmas!
He is our life - lets worship the KING of KINGS!JESUS the CHRIST!

After the Angel came to Mary and told her about the good news that God had picked her out of millions of women to be the Mother of His Son - JESUS - The Angel tells Mary that this child will be like none other and will be produced like none every before - she will not have to even have an earthly man for this to happen -God will make it happen! Mary agrees to do this service for God and the rest is HIStory!

Mary is told JESUS will be GREAT - that HE will reign on the throne of David - this is odd to her I have to believe -she might have gotten more then she expected to get - to give birth to God!? Wow! Many questions raced through her head I am sure - but in the end she choice to submit to God and Rejoiced at this news -what about us? Do we still rejoice in this Great News?
CHRIST was born to die -He came to this world and lived like us to Die -HIS mission ahead of Him - and now Mary being told of His Birth - we all should be able to Rejoice in this Great news!
It is for ALL people - Lets Rejoice for soon Christ will return and take us all home -what a glorious day that will be -
until that day -let's rejoice in CHRIST!
This CHRISTmas - Rejoice because CHRIST lived like we live!

The WORD became flesh...

FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH

Simple words on a page - but what a great impact these words make on our lives -that GOD came near - that GOD became a mere man - and not just a man - but a babe - a bade in a manger of all things -in Bethlehem of all towns - This is what it is all about - Jesus Christ is God in the flesh- what many kids Ive heard call God with skin on - although we were not here to see Him in the flesh -we yet believe - The Word says He was full of Grace and Truth - this is true -God's grace is seen in this event- its seen in the cross that will come later -Jesus was born to die -
REJOICE!
JESUS came -
REJOICE
JESUS was born - JESUS lived - JESUS died and JESUS Lives on -
Rejoice in CHRIST this CHRISTmas -
The Holy clothed in earthly human flesh - what an amazing thing -
God did this for us - JESUS came at the right time to save us!
Without HIS birth -there would have been no cross and no salvation-
Rejoice that the WORD has become flesh and dwelt among us -
and He is still with us today - the WORD Is alive!

* Tuesday * 12/23/08 * A WORD OF CAUTION

ROMANS 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD!

THE TRUE MEANING OF THE SEASON:

Some may wonder what in the world Romans has to do with CHRISTmas - in a word -everything - you see we are all marred with this imperfection and God requires perfection - He is a Holy and Righteous God - He demands purity - He demands righteousness -but we in and of ourselves cannot produce this righteousness - all we do is produce filthy rags - We cannot be saved without Christ -and without HIS birth -there would be no hope at all.

I wanted to take a side step today - I wanted to offer a word of warning - to be cautious - I have to admit last night I got hit with the shopping bug - I was just gonna buy a few things but ended up giving into the pull of the season - satan our enemy is very active this time of year - he wants us to miss the real reason for the season - here is a reminder that its not about the gifts that we buy - its all about the gift GOD gave us in HIS SON - and its not just about family - not that family is a bad thing - ok those of you who giggled - its ok - sometimes our families can drive us nuts - but family is not the reason for the season -its JESUS - simply its JESUS its all about JESUS - Rejoice in JESUS - don't get caught up in all the buy buy buy mentality - I know the that we are being told we have to buy buy buy to be happy - but in the end it leaves us empty - let me ask each of you - do you remember everything you got last year - how much of that stuff is till in use? Why not tell someone about the greatest gift of all this CHRISTmas - JESUS came to this world to save that which was lost -you and me - HE came with a mission - a single reason - to offer Himself up to God as sin - to cover our sin with HIS Blood -
this my friends is what CHRISTmas is all about!Just a word of caution - the enemy is active and he wants to get our mind off JESUS and onto what we can do without Him! Warning!!!!!

JESUS CHRIST WAS BORN TO DIE FOR YOUR SINS AND MINE!

* Wednesday * 12/24/08 * ANY ROOM FOR JESUS?

Luke 2:7
...And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger because there was no room for them in the Inn.

THERE WAS NO ROOM IN THE INN.....

Today is the day before the big day - its CHRISTmas eve - my second favorite day of the year - CHIRSTmas being the first- I loved as a child the excitement of gifts the next day - of wearing new clothes to the CHRISTmas eve service and of lighting the tree - such awe and wonder are attached to this day - children yearn for whatever they have coming to them - and they just assume you give them what they want now - often in my family we could open one prized gift - often it was the smallest - just a preemptive strike for the finale of CHRISTmas day!
As we go through the motions of this day - often we leave out the most important part -JESUS Himself - there is an awesome song by Casting Crowns that talks about the fact many where sleeping when JESUS came into this world- there was no room in the Inn for Jesus - the King of Kings - and I wonder if there is any room in many a hearts! I am just as guilty - I have gotten caught in the crossfire of shopping till you begin to drop - I have also been fighting a bad infection -this has only highlighted that JESUS should be the center part of this Day and all days! Since I have not felt well this year I didn't even get to put a tree up! But that's ok! The Reason for the Season is JESUS! Ask the tough questions this time around - is there room for JESUS in our hearts - or are we far too busy in the hussle and bussel of this frenzy - we all need to slow down -take a deep breath and remember the reason for the season -
JESUS CHRIST came so we could have eternal life -
He came humbly - in a manger - with just a few witnesses - to many it didn't even make a dent in the night - for many where sleeping and I am afraid that many sleep today -
IS THERE ROOM FOR JESUS!?

REJOICE THAT JESUS HAS COME - TO US!
This CHRISTmas - Rejoice because CHRIST came to this world!

Yesterday I was unable to write the devotional for CHRISTmas day - I was very sick with a high fever among other things -this caused me to spend much of the day in bed- I praise GOD however that I am now well enough to contiune this series - yesterday became a day of rest- God knows best- Hope everyone had a blessed CHRISTmas!

Today is the day after CHRISTmas - All the gifts have been opened - many toys have been played with and set aside - soon all the lights -the tree and other decroations will come down - the time after CHRISTmas and before the New Year has always been tough for me - we spend so much time and effort to make CHRISTmas special - we ware ourselves out - and over do it - at least I always do - we often feel let down after everything goes back to normal - many of us enjoy all the festivities that sround CHRISTmas - but now I feel its time for reflection -
CHRISTmas means God came to man through Jesus - Emmanuel -
God with us - and the message is God is with us - now and forever more - the Holy put on flesh and dwelt among us - on this day after lets not lose the focus of what yesterday was all about - lets celebrate Jesus every day - not just one day a year - God with us means we are a chosen people -we have much reward in heaven - all because God came near - God is with us - Rejoice!!!!!

THE STAR OF CHRISTmas!

Matthew 2:10
When they saw the star they rejoiced with exceeding great joy!

Rejoice with great joy!

What is our reaction to the day of CHRISTmas - did we get so caught up in the gift buying - food preparing - card sending activites that we missed the star of CHRISTmas - I don't mean the star that guided the wise men to Baby Jesus - I am taking about JESUS Himself - He is the star of CHRISTmas - and at His birth many did rejoice with great joy - many celebrated this child's birth - but by the same token many didn't even know God came so near -many had no idea that God was now a babe in a manger of all things - God came so close He collided with man and became Emmanuel - The wise men came from quite some distance to see this Christ Child - they saw the star that lead them to the King of Kings - they bowed down and worshiped this child - given Him lavish gifts- the best of the best - maybe that is why they are called Wise Men? They knew JESUS was the long awaited Messiah - the wait was over- the Star in the sky that night revealed that Jesus was born - the star of CHRISTmas! Rejoice - Rejoice -Emmanuel - Born is the King of Israel! Rejoice again I say rejoice!
This CHRISTmas Rejoice because CHRIST died so we could live!

GOD IS THERE - EVEN WHEN ALL YOU SEE IS DARKNESS -
SOON THE LIGHT WILL BREAK FORTH - JUST LIKE THE STAR

Today is the final edition for the CHRISTmas 2008 season -
I pray that you have enjoyed this series - it was my hope that I would open up some thing to you about CHRISTmas so that you could rejoice in CHRIST not only during this time of year - but all year long -
Soon the changing of the year will come and Livin in The Word will become Building on the Word - I want everyone to know that only the name will be changing and not the mission - God I feel is just fine turning it - Have a blessed 2009! Daniel.

Growing up , I often sung a song in Church that said God in man made manifest - I cannot tell you who wrote it - but I have nearly every line in my mind - its such a vivid picture to me - about what really happened at CHRISTmas! God came down to be like one of us - the Creator being within His creation - this was not an every day event! God came down not in the form of a ruling King of Judge He rightfully is - but instead as a babe in a lowly manger- this alone should make us rejoice - but if we stopped at the stable(cave?) our journey would not be complete -
the WORD says that GOD sent HIS SON into the world in the fullness of time - to me this means just at the right time - God's timing is never wrong - He was born of a woman - and born under the law - many thought Jesus had come to take the law away - not at all - He said He had come to fulfill it - another words - live the perfect life and yet have to die for sins He never once committed - in fact JESUS our LORD was without sin - no one else in history of mankind can make such a claim!
JESUS is THE LORD OF ALL -
REJOICE IN THE GOOD NEWS OF CHRISTMAS!That GOD became a man - in order to save us from our sins!PRAISE BE TO GOD - THE LORD OF LORDS! AMEN!

IT'S AMAZING HOW FAR GOD WAS WILLING TO COME TO SAVE US
ALL THE WAY FROM HEAVEN TO EARTH AND BACK AGAIN!
This CHRISTmas - Rejoice because CHRIST is and always will be! HE LIVES - OUR SAVIOR LIVES! AMEN!

The Daily Blueprint ~ Tuesday ~ 12/9/08

The Word:

Believe

Romans 3:3
For what does the scripture say? Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

This verse is fundamental to all we hold dear - you see we are not saved by works -there is nothing you can do in and of yourself to come to know Christ-
First His Spirit must draw you - and then reveal the truth to you. Finally you must accept what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you - we all must come to Christ the same way - Abraham believed God - lets stop right there- this is the most important thing we can do - Believe - I don't mean just say you believe -I mean actually live this belief - let this be your whole life. The righteousness that came to Abraham was from God - it was not from Abraham - The Atonement had to be made - Jesus Christ our Savior is the only way to eternal life -this view is no longer popular and has been toned down by many - this does not however take away the facts -that JESUS became sin for us - and its HIS righteousness we receive from Him.
What does God ask of us? To simply believe -there is no magic formula to follow to come to know CHRIST - all that is required is to believe God and what HIS matchless Word says - Jesus came to this world with the mission to die for our sins - He paid the price - and His righteousness is now credited to our account - if you don't know JESUS today - why not ask HIM to change your life right now - be reborn today!
