Hidden Faces

ISAIAH 53:3
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it where our faces from Him, He was despised and we esteemed Him not....

As Jesus was walking that long road to the cross -many along the way hid their faces - some in shame - others in horror that their Lord would be lead away like a common criminal to die - and for sins He had not even committed! Others along the way stared at Jesus and watched His every step -some where unbelievers just finding Jesus a crazed man who died for nothing - but truth be know JESUS saw everyone on that road and as I was saying yesterday - He could see into their hearts- many rejected Him as He crossed in front of them -some spit on Him -others mocked Him -the walk along was not easy -add to it a drained physical body and the weight of the cross - Jesus even stumbled a few times -He was rejected just like today's text says - He was also despised - those who scoffed at Jesus did not know HE was the Savior - they saw His miracles and still did not believe- Jesus went to the cross and beyond for those who hated Him - remarkable - nothing could or world stop this mission from being completed -all God's wrath fell on the Son - and He died - Jesus actually died - Some say He was in a coma - but I know He died - He was beaten all night - had nothing to eat or drink and was very worn out -dehydration set in - and blood gushed from His wounds - there were some who saw this sight and hid their faces - others pretend not to even know Him - is that like any of us? Do we still hide our faces when people ask us about JESUS?
Are we willing to live life for JESUS in the great wide open expanses of this thing called life - Lets not hide our faces from our Lord any longer - lets live lives that can look into HIS eyes without any shame! No more hidden faces!
