The Daily Blueprint 7-5-07
EAT
ISAIAH 55:2
Wherefore do you spend money for that which is not bread? And your labor for that which does not satisfy? Harken diligently unto Me, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness!
Food is a very important part of our lives -we in America really have no clue what it means to starve! Sure there are poor people in our country -but not as poor as the rest of the world! Eating is not only a necessity -its a social thing we do - we love to eat out to met with others- after church -also our weekly men's meeting takes place while we eat- Jesus knew this and often ate with HIS followers- the WORD also says JESUS wants to come in and eat with us - eating is part of our life- God made us so we would have to eat - to need sustenance- we cannot go very long without something to eat and drink - today's verse talks about eating that which is good - JESUS has called HIMSELF the BREAD OF LIFE - and the LIVING WATER - we are to feast on HIM with our lives -HE dwells within us - and wants us to have our Daily Bread! We must eat our full of JESUS - allowing HIM into every area of our lives! He must be LORD of our everything - we must eat of HIM or we cannot live for HIM - many where taken aback when JESUS told HIS followers that His body would be broken and HIS blood poured out for HIM - HE showed them this in the Last Supper- many thought it was cannibalism -but they misunderstood - we must take JESUS in our hearts and feed on HIM by faith!
Lets eat that which is good - Taste and see -the LORD Is good! Amen! Now lets eat....
A side note: we are what we eat! So when we eat of JESUS - we become like HIM!
Through CHRIST we are full of HIS SPIRIT!
