The Daily Blueprint 6-22-07
SPEAK
PSALM 145:5
I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wondrous works....
There is a big difference between saying something and actually backing it up! Today's verse talks about the words we speak -What are we saying when we say what we say? Do our words build others up or tear them down? Do our words bring honor to our God? Do we say things to make ourselves look better? There is a lot of weight that goes behind what we say - but even more goes behind what we do - we can say this or that - but people will be able to see immediately if we really mean what we say - We should speak of our LORD everyday and in a praising way - We can be real with God - He knows what we are gonna say before we even say it - but at the same time - we must say things that are true and not listen to the lies of the enemy -he is there at every turn to make us fail - but we have the Spirit of God living within us - the temple of the Holy Spirit! What will the words we say today do tomorrow- how will people remember us - Will they see JESUS in us? We must be willing to speak the truth in love- there will be those along the path of life that are going the wrong way - and they need to know it - God wants us to speak - He has given us the gift of speech - and I know God wants to drive this point home -as He has been telling me about the things I say - I do not cuss but when I get mad I sure do get close - too close for comfort- that kind of speech has no place in our lives -but never forget the enemy is right there wanting us to make JESUS look bad - lets pray before we speak - so that what we say will bring honor to our Lord and Savior!
Lets speak the truth today and forevermore!
A SIDE NOTE:
What we say reflects on what we really believe! If we don't follow what we say - people will see and will wonder if we are for real!
Jesus never minced HIS words! He always spoke the truth and was never ashamed of it! Amen!
in CHRIST even our speech belongs to HIM!
