A FATHER'S LOVE
GALATIANS 4:5&6
To redeem them that where under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father!
Today we celebrate Fathers - a Father is a special person - not just someone who brings a child into the world - a Father is someone who is always there for their children - a Father's love is like no other love- God is a Father so He knows what it means to be a Father- to take that role you must be willing to work at it - sacrifice - and be a witness to them - many are Father's who don't have kids that are their own - there are men who have stepped up to the plate and mentored young men - who have given their lives to make their lives better - a Father is a living example of God to us - The Spirit of God that indwells us at Salvation within us cries out ABBA FATHER - This is what God is called - our Father - He is our example - many men out there have not lived up to the role of Father- and for those men I pray today they will take their role seriously - that they will know what a powerful position they are in to effect the future generation - a Father's love embraces us - there is something very special about a Father's love -its not like a Mother's love -in its own way it can be even more important - not to take anything away from mothers and those who happen to be single parents and having to take on both roles - a Father should always be there and in a supportive role - a Father's job is never easy - its hard work - but if you follow the instruction of the Lord you will raise up young men and women who will become the Mother's and Father's of tomorrow- A father's love is important - why not call your Father today and thank him - or if you have not heard from him in a while - take that first step today - and let him know that you are thankful for him! God gave all us a gift of a Father and even if you don't have an earthly Father - HE will be your FATHER!
