HE WILL HOLD YOU!

NAHUM 1:7
The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble;
and He knows them that trust in Him!


Jesus warned His followers many times that in this life they would have trouble - this is not our home -many of us act like it is - I for one have done that in a number of ways -when I care too much for the stuff of this life and not enough about the people in my life- there is something wrong -we must set aside our needs and obey God at all times - This life can eat you up and spit you out - we live in a sin-filled -evil world- why do we not expect to be hated for the name of JESUS - Ive been reading about the persecuted church around the world - its a sad commentary but a the same time -these people who have laid down lives considered it Joy - just like Paul said - they don't want to have the persecution removed - they just need brothers and sisters standing strong in prayer for them - when the trouble comes - God is our strong tower and our stronghold - HE will hold you - when times are rough -HE will hold you -when you have no idea what to do or where to go - He will hold you - and there is nothing like being in His arms - His arms are big enough to give us all HIS love -The arms of JESUS stretched out on the cross is the picture of God's ultimate love for His creation - When trouble comes -God will hold you - He must be the first one we run to when calamity strikes - but unfortunately many go to Him as a last ditched effort - where is your trust? HE knows them that trust Him and others will see if what we confess is really the truth - trouble will come in this life -sooner or later -we all have to face some big opsticals - but the good news is GOD is big enough to handle any problem we may be having -He is faithful and true and His track record is flawless - lets trust in the LORD our GOD and allow HIM to hold us!

A side note: A life that trusts in JESUS is a life that can change others- JESUS gave HIS life for us - He did not just say HE loved us - He showed us - and give up everything to save us! Praise HIM!
