A WALK THOUGH MALACHI -8

MALACHI 3:8
Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me. But you say,when did we rob You? In tithes and offerings.

Today's verse talks of a very sensitive issue in the church today - some have taken a very leglistic approach and say you must give or you will not be right with God - some have gone the other way saying you don't need to give a thing to the church -neither view is right - The Word says that would a man rob God? This is an absurd statement -for a man cannot rob God - or can he? Jesus talked about money often - He knew what money would do in our lives- lets face the facts - we all need money to survive in this world and our churches also need money to run - they must have enough to keep the lights on and the pastor and associates feed and housed -we all enjoy getting a weekly or bi-weekly pay check - and we all would be hurting without it - our Pastors are the same - God set this system up -and its a good system - the world says to get what you can - but God says be a cheerful giver - and I don't believe its anyone's business but God's what you give -some want to rate us by what we give- lest we forget the wirdow's mite - give what God leads you to give- for some thats 10% others it may be 20% but whatever the amount -we should give it as an act of worship -not so we can be blessed finaically - or that we can earn our way - but its us just saying to God that He owns it all and He simply wants a small part back - its all HIS anyway - and we have nothing that was not given to us!
Lets give out of worship -not some oblication! God is good and HE wants us to be cheerful givers!

a side note: You cannot out give GOD!

In CHRIST we can become cheerful givers!

A WALK THOUGH MALACHI -7

MALACHI 3:7
Even from the days of your Fathers you are gone away from My ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto Me,and I will return unto you, says the Lord of hosts! But you said,wherein shall we return?


From start to finish God's word is the story of redemption - its a story of a perfect creation falling prey to sin and falling away from God's perfect plan - but its also a story of a return to this perfect design by way of the death of the Son of God! The people of Israel turned away from God and He allowed them to go through 40 years in the wilderness -God wants us to return to HIM -that is HIS whole mission -to save that which was lost -the sad thing is that many have no idea they are even lost -they are doing well (or so they think) the way they are now - unredeemed - generation after generation has lost sight of God in their lives - many have watered down the truth of sin - some believe there is no such thing a sin - and with such thinking - they feel they have no need for a man named JESUS to come and "Save" them - they are comfortable and they think maybe later I will try this JESUS thing!
We must show the world around us that we are different -we are not like the unredeemed - we have the living Spirit of God within us - and our lives should line up with God's total truth! We must be light to those who live in darkness -we must daily return to our LORD and follow HIS ways! But the only way this can happen is if we are sold out to God completely and not be held back by our flesh - all of us can turn our backs on God and if we do this -our lives will not be blessed and our witness will die - we must be willing to speak the truth at all time!
GOD IS LOVE AND GOD LOVES THIS WORLD - SO MUCH HE SENT HIS SON! THAT'S THE GREATEST LOVE THERE IS!

a side note: Let's not leave our first love!

MALACHI 3:6
For I AM the LORD, I change not!
Therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed!

Our God never changes - HE is the same today - tomorrow and forever more as well being the same yesterday! God has no need to change since HE is perfect now and always - He is righteous and worthy to be praised - matter of fact He is the only ONE we should praise - JESUS came by the FATHER'S Orders - they are One and the Holy Spirit is also ONE with Them! That is why in the beginning of creation God said to make us in their image! The Great I AM is our GOD! HE is from eternity past and will be forever more -the Alpha and the Omega! Apart from JESUS CHRIST we have no life -no meaning and no purpose! Because God does not change -we don't ever have to worry about HIM changing what it takes to be saved - HE sent HIS SON as the ONLY payment for our sins - there is simply no other way to be saved but by the shed blood of the Lamb of God! Jesus willing came and willingly died for you and me - lets rejoice in this today and forever more! Our God is the same yesterday -today - tomorrow and forever more!
God is good!

A WALK THOUGH MALACHI -5

MALACHI 3:5
And I will come near to you to judgment: and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers. And against those who oppress the hireling in his wages. the widow and the fatherless, and turn aside the stranger from his night. And fear not Me. says the LORD of hosts!

Our Father God is a God of love but He is also a God of judgment- He would not be righteous if He did not judge sin - God has some stern words today for those who decide to sin - you see sin is serious - its so serious God was willing that His Son die because of it - our sin put JESUS on the cross - but HIS love for us kept HIM there! Amen! No sin goes unpunished - this is the truth - we all must be accountable for what we do - sometimes we feel that others are getting by with something that God should punish them for - we often wonder why God is slow in HIS judgment -but the truth is HE is always right on time - we all deserve to face the judgment of God -the Righteous Judge- we all deserve to die in our sins - but GOD gave us HIS SON to take the sting of death and the penalty of sin that we deserve!
God knows what we are going to do before we even do it -so we cannot hide our sin from HIM -this was Adam and Eve's first response to their sin - to hide from God -some things never change- sin still has a hold on this world - its a ripple effect -I was out at the nature trail Friday and noticed when a stone was tossed into the lake -it rippled - one little stone will effect all that is around it -the same goes for our sin - God be praise that HE has given us a way out of our sin - and a path into righteousness! Amen!


a side note: you can never just sin once -one sin leads to another and often times we sin to cover up deeds we have done in the past - GOD knows all our sin and Has given us JESUS - we all have a way out of our sin!

In CHRIST our sins are taken away!

A WALK THOUGH MALACHI -4

MALACHI 3:4
...Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

The past three verses got us to the place we are now - you see God is a refiner of our souls - He took our sin away through JESUS and now has given us His Spirit to rule in our hearts - Once God comes into your life and cleans up what is dirty -then our offerings are accepted by God - you see without His Spirit living in us -we could offer things but they would never please Him because the one thing He wants more then anything is you - He wants us to be reunited with Himself -this is the whole purpose of JESUS coming and dying in our place -taking upon Himself the form of a servant -and laying it all down -so that His creation could come back to the perfect relationship God intended all along - this place is not our home -we are just passing through and as we do - our lives take on what we follow - either we follow JESUS or we don't -the choice is ours - God must get us to a point in which the clay of our lives becomes soft and He can then work with it - He must break down all we have built up so He can rebuild it HIS way!
We must go through the fire to become strong - we must turn our back on everything else but Jesus and then we must move aside and let HIM work on us - HE is making a masterpiece - lets surrender it all to HIM today! Lets walk with HIM each moment!

a side note: when we follow Christ we must do things HIS way and in His order -His way is always best -and the sooner we learn it the less frustation we will have to suffer through -He must be Your bedrock of faith!

In CHRIST our offerings become perfect!

A WALK THOUGH MALACHI -3

MALACHI 3:3
And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering of righteousness!

The only way we can become righteous is if we allow the Holy Spirit to dwell in us and change us from the inside out - we do not become righteous by what we do on the outside- many have come in the name of JESUS but in the end did not know HIM at all - many make claims that simply are not backed up with a changed heart - JESUS will come and purify us once we surrender to HIM! We cannot go out and obtain righteous on our own - it must come out of a true relationship with GOD through JESUS CHRIST - we cannot do it by following a set of rules or by giving more money to causes that God has called us to - going on a mission trip will not make your righteous unless the Holy Spirit comes into your heart and makes you Holy and Set apart for HIS purpose - many of us what a list of the to do's and a list of what we should not do - Christ comes into our lives and radically changes us - we should no longer see things in terms that revolve around self -

Last night I was watching Dateline NBC and this guy was on there claiming to be JESUS CHRIST - The man who claimed to be the second coming of Christ lives a lavish lifestyle and his followers give much of their money to him -while he drives around in a new BMW and lives like a king - an earthy king that is -this man has many deceived but is in no way righteous! Only the true living LORD can make us righteous -its not something we can send off for or take a class to get - its only given to us by God - and once you come to know Christ - He will change everything once and for all - we will do what HE says and not worry about what we want - I admit I am not there yet- but through this Journey God is going to make us righteous in the end!

a side note: If we could become righteous on our own -we would not need the Living God to send HIS Spirit into our lives- but since we cannot do it - HE must do it - if someone says they are righteous apart from CHRIST - they are not telling the truth - when we are saved we take on HIS quailties! Amen!

A WALK THOUGH MALACHI -2

MALACHI 3:2
But who may abide in the day of the of His (the LORD) coming? and who shall stand when He appears? for HE is like a refiners fire, and like a cleaner's soap!


Many are naive to how JESUS will be when He returns - many believe HE will come peacefully just like the first times -still others believe HE will come as HE deserved to come the first time - He returns as the ruling King over all - the first time JESUS humbled Himself to the point of being a man of flesh and bone - this is a radical statement when you really stop and think about it - We know this much - JESUS is coming back and it may be soon - His arrival is coming -its been foretold by generations that JESUS would return to take HIS throne - HE will come like a refiner of fire says Malachi - When He returns He will set all the wrong things right! (Thanks for my Pastor for giving me that statement) Many wonder if we will even know when HE returns - but the WORD says that every knee will bow - We will all know it when it happens - if someone comes to you and tells you JESUS is coming on a certain date -don't believe them -for even the angels do not know when HE is coming back to take us home - Only God the Father knows when it will happen - lets live lives of expectation of His soon arrival - but lets not quit living this life - We need to be about the Father's business while its still called today! The refiner is coming - and He comes with fire and purity - He will change everything once HE returns! One thing is for sure - none one will be standing when JESUS comes back!

a side note: The song I can only imagine By Mercy Me - displays what it may be like when JESUS returns - what will we say? The lead singer sings that he just might stand in awe and be silent -I believe we won't have words that can be adequate when we see HIM! Words will fail us!

In CHRIST we get to rejoice at HIS return!

The Daily Blueprint 8-21-07

MALACHI 3:1
Behold I will send My messenger, and he shall prepare a way before Me: and the LORD, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in: behold, he shall come said the Lord of hosts!


Today we begin a series on Malachi - for some reason ive been reading a lot in Malachi and it seems like this is to be done right now...look for a verse each day from the 1st book of Malachi this week - Please be in prayer about this series -thank you all!

The Lord has sent His messenger to prepare a way for His coming - this book is Old Testament truth that is relative to today - we still hear messengers sent from God this very day - while there is much debate - some feel that since the Bible is complete -no revelation is given anymore -while others say that God gives us daily revelation and moment by moment revelation. Only God knows the complete truth on this issue - God has called many to prepare a way for HIS message- God chose to use us - and since we are all human and still can fall prey to sin - it seems risky to use us - but God knows best! What is your life saying to others? Maybe God is calling you to live a life that brings HIM praise -or maybe HE wants you to take a stand for the downtrodden - whatever it is God has called you to do -seek HIM out and see what HE wants you to do - He is calling -we must respond - we must put ourselves in a willing posture of submitance to God - HE has something for all of us to do for HIM - He does not call us all the same way or to the same things - God loves variety - just look at the Universe and its sheer size - why did He make place we will never see? He made it for HIS glory - what HE wants always comes to pass! Our LORD is coming back one day - and we must prepare a way for HIM just like John did - we are HIS voice today in what we do in HIS name - what is your life saying today? May our lives speak full volumes of HIS truth!

A SIDE NOTE: JESUS IS COMING SOON - sings Crystal Lewis - this is the truth - and we are being called to prepare a place for HIM - are you prepared for HIS return? Lets seek the LORD and be well prepared for it could be today or a 100 years from tomorrow!

WHO DO YOU TRUST?

The Daily Blueprint 8-18-07

JEREMIAH 17:5
Thus says the LORD - Cursed is the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart (is) departed from the LORD.

The LORD has said that those who trust in men are cursed -does this mean you cannot trust your brothers and sisters in Christ? I believe it means we cannot trust man like we trust God - no matter who it is - man can let you down - none of us are perfect and even when well meaning -we can miss the mark - we should not put our trust in man! But our trust should be in GOD alone - only HE knows what is best- and only HE can never lie - HE is righteous while even righteous men and let us down -all of us can sin - we are all capable of various evil -this is a fact -when we put our trust in man or in our flesh -we depart from the Lord in a way - we must make it our aim to trust GOD with all we have - HE knows best -and will never forsake us - I think about the night Jesus was betrayed and how Peter swore he would never deny Jesus only to later deny Him - just take a look at the various people in the bible - all humans can sin - and because of this -we cannot even trust ourselves fully - we must only worry about what GOD thinks - for it is HIM that we should please -the audience of one! HE is worthy of our praise and worship alone and no one else is! We must trust in GOD completely and not in man - even our own flesh is evil to the core -only the redeeming of Christ in us can change us - but still the flesh is close by - we all wrestle like Paul -doing what we don't want to do and not doing what we should do - lets give God all our worship -HE alone is worthy - we should moment by moment ask ourselves who do we trust? Our flesh or GOD!

A SIDE NOTE: Whoever we put our trust in is who we follow - either man or GOD!

NO SHAME

The Daily Blueprint 8-17-07

ZEPHANIAH 3:5
The just LORD is in the midst thereof; He will not do iniquity: every morning does He bring His judgement to light, He fails not; but the unjust knows no shame!


The WORD says that at times GOD will give us over to our desires - HE wants us to worship HIM but if we choose not too - He will give us over to what we want - its sad to see this happen - but its nesses - many times God will let us have our way - only for us to find that HIS way is in fact better- those who don't know CHRIST do not have shame- their goal is not to please GOD at all - but self above all else -and many times we as Christ followers get caught up in our needs and wants all the while ignoring what GOD wants - God is righteous and HE can do no wrong - HE cannot lie - HE cannot cheat - HE always does righteously because that is HIS nature - He will never and can never go against HIS own nature - JESUS came in the name of the LORD and was without sin - He never sinned - not even once - His righteousness glowed where ever HE want - Those around JESUS could tell HE knew their deepest sin - we cannot hide anything from GOD! The wicked have no shame - they do what they want when they want - and one day will face GOD - not a good position to be in - we must allow CHRIST to live at the surface of our lives -we must remember that we are HIS representatives and we should always strive to bring HIM honor - we must watch what we do -if we really love HIM we will obey HIM! This will be very costly at times but in the end worth every deed we did to please our FATHER GOD! Lets pray for those who have no shame -that they would come to know CHRIST and learn HIS ways! Praise GOD!

A SIDE NOTE: DO OUR LIVE SHOW OUR DEVOTION TO JESUS? WHY OR WHY NOT? WE MUST ASK THIS QUESTION AND ANSWER IT HONESTLY!

WHAT WE SAY MUST BE THE SAME AS WHAT WE DO!

GREATER WITNESS

The Daily Blueprint 8-16-07

JOHN 5:36
But I have greater witness then that of John: for the works which the Father has given Me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me!


The words - the actions - the love -the compassion that JESUS had bore witness of GOD the FATHER - Jesus was 100% obedient to the Father and when questioned about HIS witness - HE said that HE had even a greater witness then John - the works that JESUS did pointed to the Father -everything JESUS did was in relation to His Father! He did not do these works to glory in HIMSELF but in GOD who sent HIM - HE gave us HIS word and then the truth of the Holy Spirit - all points back to God - JESUS did not act on HIS own account - but acted in a way that the Father had commanded HIM - our minds cannot wrap itself around such things - but we must simply understand that what JESUS did - was what the FATHER told HIM to do - HE did nothing on HIS own - He was lead by the Father at all times -HE is our example - once we come to know CHRIST our lives must change -sure we can still sin and often times will - but the course of our lives should change - and our witness must always point back to JESUS and the FATHER - we are no longer our own- but belong to GOD - lets live lives that always point to JESUS - we are not on our own anymore -we now have a greater witness! JESUS our LORD should be our life now -let's live it for HIM!

a side note: everything we know about JESUS should paint for us a picture of GOD the FATHER - when you see JESUS - you see the FATHER - we must believe this truth for there is no greater truth- JESUS IS LORD!

In CHRIST are lives are a witness!

IT'S NOT ABOUT WHAT WE SAY - BUT MORE ABOUT WHAT WE DO! DO IT ALL FOR AND IN JESUS!

WHO DO WE SAY HE IS?

The Daily Blueprint 8-14-07

MARK 8:27-29
And Jesus went out, and His disciples, into the towns of Casarea Philippi and by the way He asked His disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? and they answered - John the Baptist; but some say, Elias, and others , One of the prophets. And He said unto them, Whom do you say that I am? and Peter answered, and said unto Him. You are the CHRIST!!!

JESUS asked a very pointed question - He first asked HIS followers who did others say that He was - and then He asked them who they said He was - and finally Peter answered with the truth - JESUS is the CHRIST! This revelation did not come by man - but by God! Who do our lives say that JESUS is? Is the the Savior we claim HIM to be - what do our lives say? JESUS is the SAVIOR - but our lives need to line up with this truth -we must be willing to risk it all to claim that JESUS is the Messiah - many have made many claims about JESUS -but are you willing to bank your whole life on HIS claims? Are you willing to follow HIM when you cannot see HIM moving at all? Are you ready to claim HE is the TRUTH and the WAY and the LIFE? We must be willing to let our lives speak who CHRIST is! We must be willing to not hold back at all -we need not be ashamed of WHO CHRIST IS! Who do we say HE is? I know sometimes my life does not line up to HIS claims - its pride -its selfishness on my part- HE is THE CHRIST but does my life say HE Is the CHRIST? I pray it does - life is not easy as all of us should know - but the great thing WE ARE NOT ALONE! Jesus is with us - HE wants us to be on fire for HIM - He wants our lives to claim the truth of WHO HE IS! We are HIS - and its not by what we do -its by what HE has already done - HE has claimed us as HIS own!Who do you say that JESUS is?
Is HE just someone you get together with one day a week - or is HE the Savior of your soul and of the world? Think about that!
WHO DO WE SAY HE IS?

SEEING

...to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace!


Today there are many who sit in darkness -the do not have the truth to light their way -they are lost and often have no idea -before we came to know Christ- all of us were in the same category -we were lost but most of us had no idea- we were in the dark and we had no clue we were there - until the light of Christ shines in your life- you will never know you dwell in darkness - God wants us to see HIM clearly - He has given us HIS word -and HIS Spirit to lead and guide us - HE has also given us our brothers and sisters in Christ to be used to show us the way - none of us have arrived - but all are on a journey to find the way of peace -this is the way of JESUS - He has been called the Prince of Peace -so no matter what we are going through - HE is there - HE has promised never to leave us - HE will never turn HIS back on HIS children! We once were in the darkness of dispare and sin -we did not know we were lost until we saw the Light of Christ -which revealed our lost ness to us - we then had a chose to either follow JESUS or deny HIM - we can know see clearly - we can see God at work in our lives -and seeing is important - but beyond that God is doing things we cannot see - HE must reveal what HE is doing to us - or we will never know - The depth of HIS love - the goodness of HIS grace -we can know see -we were in the darkness but now we are in the light!Lets praise our LORD JESUS CHRIST!

HE HEARS

PSALM 77:1
I cried unto God with my voice, even unto
God with my voice, and He gave ear unto me.

Sometimes we believe the lie that God is far to busy to hear about our problems- that HE has much more important things to do then listen to our prayers- many go as far to say praying is a big waste of time - still others believe in prayer but feel their prayer just bounce off the ceiling and are not heard by God - many people feel that God is not listening to them -and thus they should not bother to pray - God is listening - HE hears -HE knows our needs even before we ask HIM -and when it seems like HE is not responding -HE is but maybe not in a way we would like -we seem to allow our selfish human nature into our prayer life -its hard to separate the too - God knows we are human and sometimes does answer our prayers in a way we understand -but many times its not what we can understand -when we pray sometimes we have a goal in mind and if God does not respond to our request just as we want -we think HE does not hear us - He knows best though -HE knows the best way -and its often very different from how we see it to be answered! Many times the best answers we can get from God is a no - sometimes we think we need this or that -but God knows best- if you are like me - you have been let down by God - its not that God let us down -however -its us and our preconceived notions on how the prayer we pray should be answered - believe it or not -God does hear and oftentimes answers our prayers without our knowledge -lets trust that when we pray - God does in fact hear us! Lets take advantage of prayer! Amen!

A SIDE NOTE: GOD HEARS EVERYTHING WE SAY - HE KNOWS WHAT WE ARE IN NEED OF - HE MADE PRAYER A WAY TO OPEN HIMSELF UP TO THE REQUESTS OF HIS CHILDREN - HE WANTS US TO TALK TO HIM! LETS TALK WITH HIM AT EVERY MOMENT WE CAN! HE IS LISTENING!

GONE ASTRAY

ISAIAH 53:6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD has laid on HIM the iniquity of us all.

When I begin to work on a devotional - I usually just open my Bible up and where it opens is where I will seek out the verse God wants me to use - well many a time - Isaiah 53 has been the book ive opened to- I guess God is trying to tell me something -As I read through this passage - these words caught my eye - All have gone astray - remarkable- God says that all of us are like sheep - we all go our own way naturally -God wants that to change- HE wants us to follow HIM - He is the Great Shepherd of the flock - We are called Sheep many times in Scripture - one reason is we tend to follow after the one in front of us - sheep will follow one another off a cliff - There is humor in being called Sheep and yet its so like us - apart from Christ we would all lead hopeless pointless lives -we would be like sheep without a Shepherd - left to drift aimlessly forever -well until we die -we what out way - we want what we want when we want it - we have been taught that this world revolves around us - or at least it should - and this mindset is hard to let go of - God has a plan for each of our lives -and at the same time has given us a free will to do as it pleases us - He wants us to get to the place where following HIM is as natural as following the world! We are born with sin in our hearts - we all go astray like the sheep - we all think our way is best -God must use some tough love to show us HE must lead us - We just end up getting caught in the corner - why not follow JESUS and you will always be heading in the right direction -let's not go astray!

A SIDE NOTE: Shepherds must beat their sheep at times to get them to obey - it seems harsh but it must be done - the sheep need to know who is boss - do you think GOD does that with us? I believe HE does - sometimes we must go through the valley to see GOD is in fact in charge! Lets follow the Shepherd and the Lamb!

Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this is the Son of God!


What was the last straw to cause you to believe in JESUS for Salvation - do you remember where you were or when it was? We all must come to Christ the same way - that is through the cross of JESUS! We all must claim HIM and our need for forgiveness of our sin - we must all get to a place where we admit He is in fact the only way - The only Son of God - we all must know we are lost before HE can find us - Those watching Jesus being murdered on the cross - got more then they bargained for - they did not expect any earthquake - they did not expect to see the graves of those departed open - they did not expect JESUS to cry to HIS FATHER - "Why have YOU forsaken me" The truth is many did not know that this was the Son of God - the Romans considered these crucifixions as entertainment for those watching - many would say that is sick -but just look at what is offered at the theaters today - many enjoy violence - they enjoy the blood and gore - I am sure many who watched these events of the cross came to know JESUS right then and there - They believed because they had witnessed the death of JESUS CHRIST - but what about those of us who where not there? We did not get to see JESUS die - We did not get to see HIM rise -we believe not because our eyes have seen but because the Holy Spirit drew us and we responded to the leading - we all must come the same way - until God convinces us - we will not become HIS child! We must be drawn to HIM and we must respond - With all the evidence -do you now believe? Jesus told HIS followers how much more blessed it was to believe without seeing then seeing and then believing!
Now do you believe?

He reveals the deep and secret things: He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him!


The awesome fact is GOD knows all things! There is nothing hidden from HIM and nothing can be hidden from HIM - He is from beginning and He will be past the end -God has always been and HE will always be - HE called HIMSELF the GREAT I AM - not the I was - not the I will be - but the I AM! Period! That's God - from everlasting to everlasting and beyond - who can fathom God? I must admit with many others that sometimes we think we have God to an understandable level - but more and more I realize God will do something I did not expect and HE will take a circumstance that looks hopeless and will make it hopeful! HE KNOWS - He is big enough to know it all - He keeps it all going and keeps it all together- for those who deny HIM - He can take that - He knows all - He knows every one who has ever lived and even knows that are not yet alive! GOD KNOWS! When you have doubts - just ask GOD because HE knows - this is not some great revelation I am sure -its common sense that the Creator of all - knows all! He knows! There is nothing God does not know -and the most remarkable thing is HE choses to forget our sins once we are in the SON! Praise GOD!
This is just a short little message to remind you and everyone that GOD knows! You can trust HIM to know everything!Nothing is hidden from GOD!PRAISE HIM!

Delivery me from my enemies, O my God:
Defend me from them that rise up against me!

In this life you will have enemies -there is no way around this fact- the enemy of our soul lurks and wants to take us out -his goal is to take us away from God and HIS plan for our lives- he wants to defeat us - but the good news is God is our defense -satan has to deal with God before he can begin to deal with us - GOD is our strong tower - HE is our defense -He wants us to depend on HIM and not our own power - this is a message He wants me to know -as it was in two devotionals I read yesterday and in a book I am reading - God has a message for us -HE will defend us - God has not asked us to fight the battle on our own -He wants us to depend on Him -this means letting go of what we want and concentrating on what HE wants - our lives would be vastly different if we would just learn this right now! God is stronger then any one or anything - there is nothing higher then God - HE will defend HIS children! He wants us to trust HIM -do you trust HIM? Do you trust that HIS way is better then your way? We must depend on HIM because in ourselves we are weak - HE is our defense -HE will defend us - put your trust in HIM -HE is the strong tower we must trust in!

A SIDE NOTE: There is no enemy that will ever win against GOD and HE is our protecter- whom do we have to fear but GOD HIMSELF? No one!!!!!!!

OBEY HIS VOICE

JEREMIAH 38:20
...Obey, I beseech you, the voice of the LORD, which I speak to you: so it shall be well unto you, and your soul shall live!


God speaks to His childern in many ways - sometimes its a gentle still voice that we must get away from everything else in order to hear -and sometimes He shouts clearly and we can see HIM without a single doubt - but more often then not -God speaks but we are not listening -sometimes we get too busy with life -the things we have to do -that we forget to see HIS hand in everything in our lives - He is speaking that much is true -He has not been silent - we just have not been listening -sometimes however God has to remove Himself from our circumstance so that we can see just how much we must trust HIM to make it - each day we must trust in the Steadfastness of God - to trust HIM it means that what HE wants is more importan then what we want- God is speaking - our job is to listen and not flipantly -we must actually listen to what God says - we must be willing to obey even when it costs us something and time and time again it will -if we are really following God like we should - we must listen closely to what God says to us - through HIS word- through prayer and thought others God has placed in our lives - we must be willing to listen and then obey!
Praise GOD that HE is speaking to us right now -lets all work on getting in the place we need to be to hear HIM clearly - we must commune with God each day - and every hour -we cannot do anything apart from HIM at all -we are helpless without HIS GRACE! Lets listen and obey!

A SIDE NOTE:Listen and Obey -there is no other way - to be happy in JESUS then to trust and obey! Amen!

THESE FIERY TRIALS

1st Peter 4:12&13
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory is revealed, you shall be glad also with exceeding joy!


Today's devotional was brought on my many trials that happened today - I began my day in a near accident- someone pulled right out in front of me and I ended up in the median of the road -this shook me - and caused me to be careful the rest of the day - I would love to say the rest of the day went smoothly -but in a word it did not - its a long story - then when I got home and watched some TV - I heard about the disaster in which an interstate bridge collapsed and as many as 6 people lost their lives- all reminders that we live in an uncertain world- things happen we are not prepared for and don't expect- none of us is guaranteed tomorrow- in this life there will be trials- Jesus our Lord reminded His followers of this nearly every day -God allows trials to build our faith - the string of a disaster is hard to get over -but God is using all things to work out HIS will - Peter says we should not think its strange when we go through the fire of trials- he says we should expect it - if you are serving the Lord you must expect the enemy to put you in his cross hairs- if you are in ministry those fiery darts will be fired at you - there are those out there that say if you follow JESUS you will never have another problem - this is not the truth - sure God can and will bless us - but that's not HIS goal for us- we are not here to be blessed but to be a blessing -lets work together when these fiery trials come our way - lets lean on the LORD - and in the mean time we can celebrate in HIS sufferings - these fiery trials will not last forever but our relationship with CHRIST will! Amen!

A SIDE NOTE: We are either going through some trial -or we are leaving one trial going on to another - but as long as we breathe on this side of Heaven -we will have trials!

Today we celebrate the fact that once we come to know CHRIST - our sins are not only forgiven -they are forgotten! The WORD says that as far as the East is from the West- so far HE has removed our sins from us! God somehow will not remember our sins anymore once they are covered by the blood of JESUS -this means those who don't know JESUS won't have their sins covered and they won't be forgotten - its beyond my understanding how the GOD of all creation can forget anything - but because of the obedience of the SON our sins are gone - its not that they can still been seen- they are gone -now GOD can forget our sins - but we do we fail to forget and forgive the sins of those around us - we have been given a full pardon - we should give the same to others - God will not have any memory of our sins - but this does not mean we should go out and do what we want - sin can destroy our relationship with CHRIST - notice I am not saying you can lose your salvation -but I am saying that we can sin and be forgiven -but our lives will not reflect HIS glory - once we come to know HIM we will want to please HIM -sin will lose its luster - and we will become more and more like HIM!

If you have fallen lately -remember God can lift you back up and get you right on track - our sins won't be remembered once the blood of JESUS covers them! Lets live lives on honor! Lets worship the LORD with our lives- our actions and our hearts!

A SIDE NOTE: WHEN WE COME TO KNOW CHRIST- GOD ONLY SEES THE SON AND NOT OUR SIN - LETS REMEMBER ITS JESUS THAT CAN FORGIVE OUR SINS!

In CHRIST our old self is washed away!
