JOHN 8:31
Then said JESUS to those Jews which believed on Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are My disciples!"

Do you remember when you came to know Jesus as your Savior? Do you remember the day when it all clicked and you gave your life away to the only One worthy of having it - what a day of celebration that was - sadly for many of us it's been so long that tend to forget just what happened that day - that moment - we passed from death to life that day - the old way had ended and we took on a new way - we became new creations - and we would never ever be the same - time goes by and we get used to being saved and we begin to take it for granted and we tend to get a little lazy and don't follow as closely as we once day - these things should not be so - but I know in my life - I don't do what I should do - and in doing so fail to follow Jesus like I should - all of us have this same problem -we live in a fallen sin filled world and this often causes us to stumble - but there is hope - it's found in Christ alone -
He says if we are to be HIS followers - we must continue in His word -we are the Body that must be lived out for the dying world around us to see - that should be our purpose no matter what else God has called us to! We must be doers of the word -because if we only hear it and don't continue in it - we will get lost along the way - and won't be walking with Jesus like we have been called to do - let's continue - no matter what we face - let's always follow Jesus till the end - finishing well should be our goal - each moment that passes should become sweeter and sweeter as we draw closer to Jesus!
Continue in HIS word today.........amen!

What Shall We Say?

ROMANS 8:31

What shall we then say to these things?
If GOD be for us, who can be against us?

These words that Paul penned sure are comforting for us today -
with the job market falling out of the sky - and talk of disease everywhere -it's so easy to get down and in the dumps - but when this happens -all we have to is look up - for that is where we find the life we have - Jesus is our life-source - for we were created by HIM and for Him! I must admit in my own life - these past couple of months have been extremely trying - from a diagnosis of having an enlarged heart with some other issues - to my Dad being told he has lung cancer - this is very personal but I think it's very important to be open about it - to share my struggles - to let you know we are never alone - to let us all know that GOD is in command and control - He allows what HE does for HIS glory - so to us there should be no worries - if GOD is for us - who can be against us?
What shall we say to these things? There is no one greater then our GOD - HE commands every the grass of the field to move - He made all you see and all you will ever see - I could hide these trials from you - but I feel it's not in the best interest of representing the Christian life to do so - in this I mean I want to show everyone that while GOD has called me to do this daily - my life is very far from perfect - but in God's eyes - it's just right - the same goes for your life - God made you and He loves you - nothing in all the world can ever take that love away - God is for us - just let that sink in - He is for us! He made us - He loves us and He sent JESUS so He could save us! These trials in the here and now won't last forever - but GOD always will - He will never ever leave us - He is with us now - What shall we say? Praise GOD! For HE alone is worthy of our praise - I don't praise HIM because my circumstances are good - but because of who HE is - What shall we say? Praise the LORD!
Everything can be against me but GOD will always be for me!!!!!! Daniel<><

No Matter Your Circumstances -GOD IS GOOD!

When?

MARK 13:33
Take heed, watch and pray: for you know not when the time is.

One day all this will end. One day Jesus will come back as He should and HE will close down this whole show and all who know HIM will go home and spend every moment with their Savior - but when this day will come - only God Himself knows - if you find someone who stands up and points to an exact date - don't believe them - it's plain in God's Word - there are many false prophets that have risen up in these last days to point to a spacific day - now don't get me wrong - I do believe in Prophesy - but again only God knows when the last day will be - it's all in HIS hands - as it always has been - He has a plan and until it comes to pass - this world will keep right on spinning - it's at His command it all was made and at His command it will all end - and I don't believe He has to ask anyone permission to do this - He made it all - He can end it all - it's all in HIS power and in HIS timing - not ours - many want to look like they are super spiritual and predict the end of the world -since the beginning of time many have made such predictions and so far none of them have come to pass - we are still here - it's all in God's hands - not ours - so why worry about the last day - let's live each day as if it were our last - we never know how much time we have left - that too is in God's hands - One day our lives will end and we will go home - we have two chooses and this is very unpopular - but nonetheless true - heaven or hell - many will say this is not political correct - but it's the truth - Jesus paid the price to save us - and He saved us from hell! Amen - We will spend eternality somewhere -the question is where - you never know when this all will end - let's take heed and watch and pray as the LORD is on His way - some day soon this all will draw to a close - but no man will know when! Only GOD! amen!

Gotta Praise Him!

PSALM 150:2
Praise HIM for His mighty acts:
Praise HIM according to His excellent greatness!

During my prayer time on my way home -this thought just hit me - we are to praise GOD no matter what happens in any given 24 hours - some days are rough - if you live in this world - you will have to deal with trials - Jesus has even warned us many times to expect trials in this life - that's just a part of living in a world that has fallen into sin - While our days may be rough - we are to praise the LORD because of who HE Is - for HIS greatness - He alone is worthy of our and all praise - many times we all circumstances to dictate how we praise Him - this should not be - God is good regardless of what is happening in our lives - He has allowed what He has for His purpose - and the sooner we realize this - the better - when all is said and down - we gotta praise HIM! He is good no matter what our circumstances say - He is good because that is His nature - we are to praise HIS mighty name for the good works He has done in our lives - but that's not all - we should always praise Him for the trials He allows into our lives - we must trust Him more and more as we live this life day after day - He alone is to be Praised! He alone is worthy! Just gotta praise HIS name forever! Amen!

PROVERBS 23:22
Harken (Listen) to your father who begot you, and don't despise your mother when she is old.

We live in a time when children no longer respect their parents - you even hear of children divorcing their parents - this is very shocking - when I was being raised I was taught to obey those in authority over me - not that it is easy to conform to this - but it's a part of growing up - sadly today - children seem to be the ones in control - there is very little respect these days for those who have been around longer then other - now this is not to say that there are not those who do respect their parents - but society as a whole has made it passe to respect your parents - many children demand what parents willing give to their children as if it was their right - it's not actually - we are called to respect - honor and love our parents - they brought us into this world - they took care of us when we were growing up - sure none of them did it all right - but if you are living and breathing - they did a great job - we are called to honor our parents - I am learning that our parents won't be with us forever - we have a limited time with them - this is so clear to me now - now that my Dad is in the hospital and tests are looming - we don't know what the prognosis will be - but in the mean time I plan to spend as much time as I can with him and my Step Mom - as we grow we begin to see our parents are not super human after all - they are just like us - they do their job each day - and it's not easy in today's world - we are to honor and respect our parents - it's vital that we do that during the "Living Years" we never know when our time will be up - each moment we have with our parents is a blessing - have your called your parents in a while? Maybe you are not on speaking terms with them - why not make a change today - put the past where it belongs - in the past and begin to show them your love - honor and respect - you won't be sorry you did!

God has given us parents - even if its a single Mom or Dad - the point is - God put them in our lives - let's love them and respect them - in doing so we love and respect GOD Himself! Amen!

Let The Word Dwell

COLOSSIANS 3:16a
Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom....

The instruction in the Word of God is often putting the Word in your hearts - today's verse talks about letting the Word dwell in your hearts - we must allow God's Spirit to move through His Word and into our lives - we must not just be students of the Bible just absorbing info as fast as we can - we must be about the Word - we must dwell in the Word day to day - and we must allow this WORD to change our very lives - and if we allow it - it will just do that and more - with the WORD of GOD - we have in our very hands HIS words! Believe it or not! God gave us His Word so that we would know HIM - for to know GOD Is to know HIS Word! We cannot separate the two - the Word says that JESUS is the WORD - He is the One we are to dwell in at all times - He is our life - He comes in and changes our old lives - erasing the penalty of our sin through His shed blood - it's all in the WORD - are you dwelling in the Word? Are you building your life on the WORD? Let's be diligent to live in HIS WORD and make it a part of our lives - so that others may know the gospel - it's up to us - let's give ourselves over to the Spirit of the Living God - allowing HIS word to fill us - and filter our lives at all times - Let the WORD dwell in you today!
I praise the LORD for HIS Mighty never changing Word! Daniel

Cast Down?

2nd Corinthians 7:6
Nevertheless God, who that comforts those who are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus...

Sometimes in this life it's very easy to be cast down - listen to the news - read the newspaper - listen to the radio - if you want bad news - it can be found in seconds in our fast as light society - you can get the bad news all day if you - the bad news can even come to you on your cell phone - and if that's not enough - we all have our own minds that can make the best day seem very bad - it's all about perspective - much of the time the problems we have in this life seem to just weigh us down - you can see it in our body language - there are many out there right now carrying much to much - and God is there saying His burden is light - we do we do this to ourselves - we try to carry the load that JESUS has offered to take over for us - how much easier would life be if we gave God all the control He deserves - which is full and complete control of our lives - instead much of our lives are spent fighting God and others - we want our way and often don't care at what cost - several things in my life at the moment have caused me to take a closer look at my life - I am learning how precious life is - how very short - so we must make our lives matter for something - we don't know when our time is over here - Are you cast down? You cannot be so if you keep your heart and head up looking to Jesus - but I must admit all this stuff around us can sure bring us down - it's so easy to lose focus - it's so easy to fall prey to the pull of this world - but we who have been called by JESUS into HIS glorious light - should be different - we should show the world around us what hope looks like - after all we have the only hope - Christ alone - so the world wants what we have - we must be willing to live it out in the open - this is a challenge for me every day of my life - but when we allow GOD to take control - it will happen very naturally -
Cast Down? Look up!

Complete Fullness

COLOSSIANS 2:9-10
For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
And you are complete in Him, which is the head of
all principality and power...

We have all we need in JESUS and HIM alone - He has given us all we need in Him - sadly many choose the world and the gods of this world to serve when JESUS is right there ready to take us and give us all we need - He watches over us like a Mother hen watches over her chicks - that's the kind of God we serve - He is not a distant God that we cannot relate to - He is a personal God who knows us better then we know ourselves! He the beginning and the end - in Him is everything - He came from so far to save us - He came to take what was lost and find it all over again - He is God and the sooner we realize that - the better - God knows what we need and often allows what we would never allow so His purpose for our lives would be done - many times this is very very scary - but we must relinquish control to God since HE is in full and complete control - nothing will come into our lives unless HE deems it necessary for His purpose - one verse I was thinking about yesterday was the one about God finishing what HE had begun in us - He will do just that - let's surrender completely to God - for in HIM is all we will ever need - there is complete and total fullness in Christ - why do we search so many other places before bowing down at His feet? Let's leave this world far behind with JESUS in full view - let's remember the audience of One (thanks to the group Big Daddy Weave for this awesome statement) Let's live it out loud! In CHRIST!

Hidden In Our Heart

PSALM 119:11
Your Word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against You!

I am involved with a children's ministry called Awana - many of you may have heard of it - one of the things that is said every time we meet is the Awana pledge - in it one line is today's verse - this is an important concept - one that kids need to get early on in life and something we need to always remind ourselves of - we live in an evil and sin filled world - every where you look - you can find some kind of sin - to protect us from the sin around us - we must have God's Word hidden in our heart - we must be willing to study the Word - live in the Word and spread the Word - with God's Word in our hearts - we are less likely to sin against Him - when we know HIS truth - we will be more willing to do as He says - it all comes down to a personal intimate realtionship with Christ - this is not something that can be faked - it must be real! Have you hidden God's Word in your heart? Maybe it's been a long time since you have even picked up the Bible - maybe it's been just since Sunday - whatever the case - it should be our desire to have God's Word hidden in our hearts - Jesus is our example - when satan was tempting Him the only response given by Jesus was the Word of God - we must be willing to allow God's Word to change us from the inside out - that way the world will see our true faith and will join us in following JESUS CHRIST!
