New Year 2010 - Part One

New Year - Same God!
Revelation 1:8a
I AM the Alpha & the Omega, the beginning & the ending...

As we embark on a new year - let us take some time to look back - as I have said before 2009 has not been the best year in my life - but with that said - God is still on the Throne - He is still in control - no matter how I feel - I want to try and see the good in this year - I will do this in tomorrow's devotional - right now I want to express what today's verse means to me - God says that HE is the beginning and the ending - when we look back at one year ending and new one about to begin - we must take inventory and begin to see what God has planned for us in the next year - 2009 is one for the record books - but as this year passes into the new one - we must learn from what happened this year - God says that HE is the Alpha and the Omega - HE has always been - there was never a time when God was not there - HE is outside of time - HE sees it all at once - nothing surpises our God - He knows our thoughts and our intentions - looking forward to the new year - I want to be sure that my thoughts and intentions are brought more into subjection to God - it's been tough - I've been selfish - and God is teaching me much about myself - things I don't care to learn but I know it's for HIS glory - the same thing in your life - maybe God is putting His finger on something in your life - let Him have His way - that's my advise - because I have been struggling I have resisted what God has shown me - but now I know I must accept it and move on - and move closer to the ONE who made it all - the ONE who gave us HIS only SON - the ONE whom we should be living for every minute of every day - pray for me as I pray for you - and in the end may our lives glorify God - HE alone is worthy of our praise!

12/25/09 - CHRISTmas Eve

Don't Miss CHRIST this CHRISTmas!

LUKE 2:8-10
8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

Today is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus the Christ - He came so that no man may die - His life made it possible for us to have eternal life - His life was given for us so that we could come back into a right relationship with God the Father - His life was lived for the Father's glory at all times! He came a babe in a manger but would grow into a man who would give HIS very life for our sakes - He took our sin upon HIMSELF and paid the whole price for us -This CHRISTmas day - think about this very fact - God loves you and HE proved it by sending HIS one and only Son to pay the price for our sins - His life brings us life - His death brought us eternal life - Jesus came so that we would know and see just how much God loves each one of us - 2009 has not been the best of years in my life - but God is still on the throne and HE still loves me and all of us - Jesus came to bring us life! This little baby in this out of place town is the greatest Gift that anyone could have given us - He came willingly from Heaven so HE could live like a human being - Jesus took our place - He lived a perfect life and no one else has done that - Let's worship the KING of KINGS - let's remember that HE is the reason we celebrate CHRISTmas - Rejoice for unto us this day is born a Savior who is CHRIST the LORD!
WE PRAISE YOU LORD JESUS FOR COMING TO OUR WORLD AND SHOWING US WHAT REAL LOVE IS ALL ABOUT!
REJOICE - PRAISE THE LORD!
Merry CHRISTmas one and all!
Please remember those who are alone this day -those without family - the homeless - remind them that JESUS came for everyone - Rejoce in the LORD today and forever more!

12/24/09 - CHRISTmas Eve

Don't Miss CHRIST this CHRISTmas!

Luke 2:6
And so it was, that while they (Mary & Joseph) were there (Bethlehem) the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

Mary and Joseph sure had a hard time in the beginning - first Mary was told by an angel that she would give birth to a baby boy - but having not been with a man she didn't know how this could be - Joseph wanted to put her away so that the people would not accuse him of something - then they had to go miles away to be taxed - This was no easy time at all - but anything worth having is often hard to accomplish - Mary was really pregnant when they took this trip -- they made it to Bethlehem and the time had come - Mary was going to have this baby and soon -- but where would they have this baby? They tried the Inn - but sorry no room - so they had to settle on a stable - they had no other place to go - but it was all in God's great plan - the King of King would not be born in the luxgury suite of the Inn - now in the palace - but in a stable - Jesus came so far - from heaven above to this lowly stable - it must have been very smelly - not tidy like our manger scence - but the ladies will agree - when it's time for a baby to be born - they will be born - Inn or not! Jesus would be born - and we would be delivered - I love the song by 4HIM -what a strange way to save the world!
THIS WAS GOD'S PLAN - Let's rejoice in this birth - for the child that Mary had is the KING of KING and LORD of LORDS! AMEN!

Don't Miss CHRIST this CHRISTmas!

Matthew 1:18
Now the birth of JESUS CHRIST was on this wise: When as His Mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with Child of the Holy Ghost.

To truly celebrate CHRISTmas - we must go back to the beginning -well the beginning of Jesus' earthly existance - to be sure JESUS has always been - He is the Alpha and the Omega - the Beginning and the End - He always has been and always will be - HE is LORD alone and shares this title with no one else!
We must go back to when Mary was visited by an angel and the angel told her she would give birth - Mary's first responce was that she has never been with a man - how could she give birth - but the angel made sure she understood that this Child would be like no other child - this Child would be King over all - this Child would be born in a manger - a feeding trought - Mary accepted what was given her and did what God had called her to do - what about us - do we do this? Is our focus on CHRIST or on gife giving - is it on food - and if it is - I must say that last night I witnessed a place that gives food to those in need -but not only that - they give Jesus to them and HIS love keeps this place going - the same is with us - Jesus is God's gift to us - Mary was just an insturment in this whole thing - many today worship her - but that's not right - JESUS alone is worthy of worship - we must keep HIM at the center of it all - Don't miss CHRIST this CHRISTmas! Mary did as GOD commanded her - what about us? Let's do the same! It's all about JESUS and HIM alone!

was with GOD and the WORD was GOD...

(14) And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the FATHER,) full of grace & truth!!

Welcome to the CHRISTmas edition of Building on the WORD.....

This CHRISTmas we must make sure we don't miss CHRIST!
It's easy in the hurry of the season - in the shopping - in the doing -
we work hard to celebrate this time of year - it's good to be with family -
and there is nothing wrong with buying things -but if we are not careful the real meaning of this time of year will be lost - and we cannot go back and re-do it -
the world pressures us to buy this or that - to do this or that - we don't get to take the time and just reflect much - there is always something that wants our attention - it's in this that we often fail to see CHRIST in CHRISTmas -
we must be willing to slow down - to seek God's face - and find out that apart from JESUS we have no hope - it's in that - that GOD sent HIS only SON -
The WORD the Bible says - was made flesh - from the beginning the WORD was with GOD - the WORD is really JESUS - and JESUS created everything - how can we speed through this season without giving Him a second thought - it's HIS birthday you know - let's take some time this year to slow down and seek Christ and remember that HE is our only hope!
Let's make sure CHRIST has first place in our lives during CHRISTmas and the rest of the year long - tomorrow I want to go further - but right now I just want to introduce those thoughts to you - we must make sure we don't miss CHRIST in CHRISTmas -

Let's dwell in the fact that JESUS became flesh and dwelt among us!

Called By Your Name

Daniel 9:19
O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, harken and do; defer not, for Your Own sake, O my God: for this city and Your people are called by Your Name!

When we begin a realtionship with God through Jesus Christ - we begin to notice some things - we begin to notice that not only did Christ save us - He has given us a new name - we are no longer on our own - no matter how lonely we may become - He has promised never to leave us - I have to admit those words give me comfort - but I also have to confess that lately it's been very hard to apply those words to my life - you see I have allowed fear and worry to consume me - I write this to confess it and get it out in the open - to admit I don't have all the answers and at times I fail - a fail big - it's easy to write about trusting God but actually doing it is harder - but it must be done - so join me in learning how to allow God to have control over our lives - often worry shows that we are not fully trusting Him - He has given us a new name - We are called God's children now - our sin debt - paid in full - our future - secure - our destiny settled - remember we are not our own - but we were brought with a price -
through the difficult circumstances I find my self in - Christ is showing me I belong to Him - the problem is in believing just that - that we belong to Him - we have been called by His name - we must live this life in such a way that always brings glory to God our Father -as these words from the prophet Daniel so well say - we have been called by His name - He has taken ownership of us - if that does not bring comfort to your soul - I don't know what will -
Remember - no matter what - He has called you by HIS name - you are HIS!

WE HAVE BEEN RENAMED BY CHRIST!

The End Of The Law

Romans 10:4
For CHRIST is the end of the law for righteousness to every one who believes.

The Law has been called the schoolmaster that was put in place to lead us to Christ - That is what it is designed to do - God has a law and He expects it to be obeyed - in the garden - Adam and Eve didn't obey God and there was grave consequences - that must be paid - for the wages of sin is death - and sin is anything that is done that goes against what God desires - He gave His law to Moses and the people quickly disobeyed it - the same is true today - the laws of the land are ignored just as God's law is ignored - but before you think I am legalistic - I am not - JESUS is the end of the law - He came to fulfill it -
He lived the perfect life for you and me - for the WHOLE world! He alone could pay the price that was owed for disobeying God's Law - it's been paid for in full - in the Lamb's blood - let's not forget that the payment has been made over 2000 years ago on an old rugged cross - sometimes we get away from what really happened - Christ died for us - the Righteous for the sinful! The Holy for the diseased and sin filled - JESUS paid it all - HE is the end of the law - no more will the Law be our guide - instead once reborn from above, we follow Christ! Let's remember that the Law had a purpose - but now that JESUS has come - we are no longer made right by obedience - instead we are made right in the blood - the blood of the Lamb - we are the blood bought children - rejoice! Christ did what we could never do - be made right with God the Father!

The LAMB was slain for our sins - sins that kept us from God but now we have access to GOD through the blood of JESUS!

WITHOUT CHRIST'S BLOOD - THERE WOULD BE NO HOPE!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT - 8.28.09

Simply Rejoice

PHILIPPIANS 4:4
Rejoice in the LORD always , and again I say, Rejoice!

Today's verse says it like it is - Rejoice always in the LORD - it never gives a time when we should not Rejoice in the Lord - because if we rejoice in HIM we will want to do it daily - He loves each of us - He wants a realtionship with each of us - He has a plan and it will come to pass - no matter what you are facing today - know HE is in full and complete control - with that you can place all your fear and worry aside and simply trust Him - for HE is trust worthy- I have learned much this week about what it means to trust Him - there will be hard times in each of our lives - but God is still there and HE is still on His throne - even when it seems HE is far away - so I say brothers and sister - Simply trust in JESUS - Simply Rejoice in HIM at all times - no matter how hard the battle may get or how frail we may be - HE can be depended on - He is worthy of our praise - He alone is to be worshipped - if you are facing a storm today - rememeber GOD Is there right with you - you don't walk this life alone -
so lets simply rejoice - rejoice in Christ our Savior - He alone is worthy!

Be Like Our Master

LUKE 6:40
The disciple is not above his Master; but every one that is perfect shall be as his Master.

We who proclaim to be followers of Christ - should have it as our life's creed - to be more and more like our Master, Jesus Christ. He is our example - HE should be our life in all we do - each step we take - each breath we take - we should be more and more like Him - until others cannot tell where we end and Jesus begins - the verse today indicates that we are not above our Master - we can never know more then our Master - and by watching what HE does and then doing it ourselves - we become more and more like our Master - this will be at times a very bumpy ride - we will draw close to our Master only quickly to pull away - we must be taught to stick close to our Master - we cannot do anything on our own - we must live and breathe for the Master - we must be willing to forsake all else and follow - being a disciple is not easy - we must be willing to be trained to be like the Master - God has plan for each of our lives -and often He must use pain to bring us to the place HE wants us - often pain is very effective - raising up children is the same deal - we must be willing to show them the tough lessons by living them out - just as Jesus has lived out what it means to be perfect - we must always be willing to follow the Master and go wherever HE goes - HE knows the directions far better then we do or ever could - so today - will you follow the Master with the goal of becoming more and more like HIM and less and less like yourself!? God is calling us!

IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHICH WAY TO GO - ALWAYS FOLLOW THE MASTER - JESUS CHRIST!

Are These Things So?

Acts 17:11b
...They received the Word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, where those things were so.

Today's devotional is written to me as much as it is written to you - you see the Word of God must be studied daily - and I admit sometimes I don't study it like I should - but it's very important - if you want to get off track - the easiest way is take God's Word for granted -we who have known Christ for some time sometimes don't study like we should - I pray we never get to the place where we feel we have nothing else to learn about God - that is not a place we should be at - we must study daily to see if what we have been told is true - you must not take my word for it - you must not take someone else's word for it - you must take God at HIS word and HIS word alone - we can be easily lead astray and very quickly if we don't study the WORD daily - even if it's a short passage - if you let it sink into your heart - that the WORD Is doing it's job - it's been called sharper then any two edged sword - it's been called the path on which we stand in Christ - it always illuminates Christ at all times - that's the truth of the Word of God - so if you don't study it daily - you can began to lose what it means - it only takes one day followed by another to find yourself far from the truth - we must daily study the WORD to see that what we have learned is true - man is never about the WORD - always study the Word - it is our bread that we daily need to feed on - it's all about JESUS and it's all found in the WORD!

THE WORD OF GOD - STUDY IT - BELIEVE IT - LIVE IT!

Peaceably

Romans 12:18
If it be possible, as much as lies with you ,
live peaceably with all men.

God has called us to a life of peace in more ways then one - the first peace we have is what He gives to us through His Spirit - but also with that - He wants us to live peaceably with those around us - but He does add in this scripture - that as much as we can do it - we must do it - we must have the same mind as that of Christ -we must be willing to make peace whenever we are wronged - but God also knows that sometimes we cannot be a peace with others - personalities can clash and people who we want to be peaceful with won't allow us to do it - God knows this - this is a heart issue - it's not a surface issue - there are those who are natually peace makers - and those who cannot seem to make peace with anyone - God loves both - let's do our best each day to be a peace with those around us - no matter what they do to us - we must be of God's Spirit and love those around us - are you living in peace with others?
God is calling us to consider this today and every day - His peace is with us - let's spread it around our little part of the world!

Peace like a river flowing though us is God's desire!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT - 8.19.09

Be Watchful

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in My name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke I to them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

We must be watchful as children of God - the truth is that there are false prophets all around us - many speak with enticing words that may seem as it is the truth - they are subtle about how they try and lead those who know Christ astray and those who are lost they just keep them that way - there are those who true desire is to steel from God - to be nothing more then satan's representatives but under the cloak of a new truth - we must be watchful - for God called only those who speak the truth to be prophets - not those who lie - we must be watchful - even the strongest follower of Christ can be lead astray if not careful - who are these false prophets? They are those who propagate lies within the church - they speak as if knowledgeable of the truth - but really have something else in mind - the main trouble is they are often hard to spot - but God knows who they are - and one day they will have to face Him face to face - be watchful - be diligent in your study of God's word - be in prayer and connect with God daily - these will keep you safe from the wolves that come spreading a false gospel - one that does not save - this is serious business -
but we have Christ in us - the Hope of Glory - and HIS Spirit will direct us in all truth - if you want to know the truth - it must be backed up with God's Word -
be careful and watchful - Jesus is coming soon - but He warned us many would come in His name and yet not even belong to Him - let's be careful in this world - for the deceiver of our souls lurks to see who he can steal away from the truth of the real gospel of Christ - that HE came - that HE died - That He paid the price for our sins - and we are now Children of God if we accept Him as our Savior- the false gospels say that it's not Christ that saves us - so be watchful!

JESUS IS THE ONLY GOSPEL!

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT - 8.18.09

Who He Called

Mark 2:17
When JESUS heard it, He said unto them, "They that are whole have no need of a physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance!"

Jesus was being questioned for hanging up with "sinners" those who thought they where righteous (the religious) judged who Jesus was hanging out with - but Jesus had the last word and we see it in today's verse - He said that He did not come to call the righteous - but sinners - Jesus came to save sinners - not those who thought they could make it on their own merit - Jesus didn't come to hang out with those who thought they had it all together - but those who were down trodden - the forgotten - the over looked - we too need to keep our eyes out for the sinners that need JESUS - we are all sinners if the truth be known - without the blood of JESUS we are all headed to a place that is far from God - a place that is real - though many don't believe it - hell is a real place - and Jesus came to save us from it! He came and laid down HIS life so that we could have life eternal - Jesus didn't come here so that those who could do well on their own could see Him - He came to save the sin-sick - and again truth be known without Christ - there would be no hope at all - Jesus called the sinners to repentance - without the knowledge that we are sinners - we would never have accepted Christ -remember this when dealing with someone who does not know Christ - we have to be loving - but at the same time we must not water down the truth - Jesus loved the sinners - we must as well - again we are all sinner - but those who know Christ have become what I call - Sinners-saved! Let's celebrate our redemption in Christ - but also bear in mind there is a lost and dying world around us that needs JESUS today!

JESUS CAME IN LOVE - HE LOVED THOSE THE WORLD DIDN'T

Labor

John 6:27
Labor not for the meat that parishes, but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of God shall give to you; for Him has God the Father sealed!

We typically spend about 40 hours a week at our job - some spend much more then that - I am not knocking work at all - but we spend so much time doing our job - we don't leave much left over - are we working for that which will parish? The sad truth is we are in many ways - but we live in a physical world and God does expect us to earn our living - but in the end HE will provide - He gave us our jobs - our talents and it all belongs to Him - sometimes we spend most of our time trying to get more and more - and ultimately more and more things - all the while we leave our relationship with our families and our Lord to what's left - it must not be that way - we must give GOD everything - so every moment of every day belongs to Him - it's not ours - we need to labor for what is not gonna pass away - our relationship with Christ is the only thing that will really last - all those things we earned money to pay for will all pass away - it's hard to deal with I know - we must work or else we won't eat - but we must worship our Lord above all - and we must care for our families - let's not get lost on our job - just remember it's a means to an end - in order to care for our families we go out and earn a living - but let's make sure we give them more then just what we earn - our time is of most value - let's give it all to JESUS!
Labor for what will never pass away - store up your treasure in heaven -
it's not here - for this is not our home!

8.14.09 - Building on the WORD
GOD CALLS US TO GIVE OUR LIVES AWAY - ARE WE DOING IT?

THE DAILY BLUEPRINT - 8.12.09

Should we look for another?

Luke 7:19
...And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, are You He that should come?
or do we look for another?

What a life John lived - he was the one to proclaim that Jesus was God's only Son - the Lamb that was to be slain - John baptised Jesus and saw the dove desend and the voice from heaven saying this was the One that was to come - but as he moved on in his life -doubt started to creep in - John, now in prison - could not see Jesus any more - he asked some of his followers to ask Jesus if He was the one - wow - what a change - the purpose of this email is not to bash John - Jesus even said that born of a woman there was no one greater then John and yet near the end of his life -John questioned Jesus if He was the one - one thing I take way from this is that none of us have arrived yet - we may be walking tightly with God right now - but we cannot see tomorrow or the next day - we can get smug and think we have it all together and that there is nothing more about JESUS we need to know - but the truth is we are all human and we all doubt from time to time - our trust must be in God and not in ourselves - we must be willing to see JESUS for who HE is - there is no one else coming - God has done it all in Christ - it's complete - now Jesus is coming back one day to take home His church - there will be no question on that day that JESUS does in fact rule over all - but right now - before that happens - we are free to choose to follow or not - but on that day - we will not have any chose - every knee will bow - there is not another to come - Jesus already came and died for our sins - you can trust JESUS to be totally all we need!

What Manner of Man?

Mark 4:41
...and they feared exceedingly, and said to one another,
What manner of man is this, that even the
wind and the sea obey HIM?

Jesus was in the boat with the 12 and a great storm had come up out of nowhere and they all feared - Jesus was asleep and they were freaking out - how could Jesus sleep when they were in trouble? Sometimes we may ask the same thing - when sometimes it seems like Jesus is slow at doing what we want - that's the trouble - it's never about what we want - only what He wants - and He knows best - this seems hard to understand if you are in the midst of a trial - I have to be honest - I have been through some real fire lately - it's been hard but I know I am not alone - the 12 asked what manner of man was this that even the waves and the storm obeys Him - they knew this was JESUS - the same JESUS that saw call them all out to follow Him - this same JESUS was there on that boat - and they lacked faith - how much harder it is for us to not have seen Jesus - we have never seem Him with our eyes - but that does not mean He is not there - not at all - HE is there - HE is right there with us in the hardest trial we could ever face - the problem is really believing this - when times get hard - many times we run away from JESUS and instead we need to run to Him! I love the song by David Phelps that says "Even the wind and waves obey HIM, why can't I" - tough words - but we must take a look at them - are we willing to obey JESUS even when it hurts? When it's unpopular? And even if it gets the point of our dying for standing up for the name of JESUS?
These are hard questions but we serve a good Savior - One that came all the way down here to save that which was lost -what manner of Man is that?
That my friends is JESUS! Amen! Praise HIS Mighty life giving name!

Seasoned Speech

Colossians 4:6
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you out to answer every man!

Our speech as Christ followers must always be full of grace - and today's verse adds seasoned with salt - to me salt seasons food - it also preserves things - another thing salt can do is sting - so an application of this today would be letting our speech always lift up Jesus Christ at all times and also to show those who hear what we say - that Christ came to save them from the sins - to some this will really sting, to the self-righteous - it will down right make them mad - many feel that if they just have more good then bad in their lives - it all balances out - and God is pleased - but the truth is - once we come to know CHRIST - He changes our hearts and we want to do nothing more then please Him - this must include our speech - now by this I am not saying we cannot joke around and have fun - but there are limits - our mouths should be used for God's glory like any other part of our body - what we say does matter - but what we do matters more - so lets make sure what comes out of our mouths is pure and honest - for what comes from the mouth actually comes from the heart- We have been called to be the salt of the world - let your speech be seasoned so that it flavors the world for Christ!

First & Last

Luke 13:30
And, Behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

It's been said that this world has it all upside down - those with worldly riches or fame are put above everyone else -and those who live humble lives of faith are often passed over as less then others - our example is JESUS Himself - He came to serve not to be served - and while we would all agree He has all the rights of anyone to be first -He chose to be last - He washed the feet of the 12 and though one would disown him and another would sell Him as a slave -
Jesus didn't hesitate to serve - He healed the sick - He helped those in need -
He says in today's verse that the first shall be last and the last first -this is an odd statement to our 21st century ears - it seems from children we have been told to get all you can when you can - we are told to worry about ourselves and put others 2nd - but Jesus said just the opposite - if you want to follow Him you must be willing to serve - there are those who only follow Jesus because He can do something for them - Jesus is looking for those who want to serve Him even when times are tough and the reward is coming later instead of sooner -
Jesus came and showed us what it really means to serve -
We have been called to serve - let's just do it in HIS name!

See The Light?

Luke 11:33
No man, when he lighted a candle, puts it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light!

The life of a Christ follower should be full of light - in this I mean that those around them should tell there is something about them that is different from the world around them - their lives should speak of God's great love and compassion - the question I have for us today is - Do they see the Light?
If Christ is truely in our hearts - He should be seen in our lives - pure and simple - we must remember we are on display like it or not for the world around us - if we proclaim the name of Christ - we must be warned that the world will be watching us - they want to see if we really believe what our words say - they look more at our lives then anything else - we can say many things - we can do many things - but if we have the wrong heart - it's totally shallow - we must let the Light that is within us - shine out - for the world to see - I know we are human and we will make mistakes - but that should be just part of the whole - it's how we respond to others when they make a mistake against us -
let's face it - this world in which we live can be very very dark - but we who have Christ are to be the light of this world- Salt and Light should be our goal -
Let Christ shine through you today and every day after that! We have the light - let's not hide it - because the world needs is badly! Let your LIGHT shine Jesus in our lives!

We Don't Have To!

Daniel 3:17
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand...

You all know the story - three Hebrews boys refused to bow down to the idols offered by the King and because of this they were sent to the furnace - yet these boys did not fear at all - but spoke boldly to the king saying that God would deliver them out of this kings hands - and it was so - not only that when the king was watching a forth figure was in the furnace - it was none other then our Lord Jesus!! You see when we go through the fires of life - Jesus is right there with us - take encouragement that the fight you fight is not a fight you fight on your own - Jesus fights for us - when the world offers us it's idols - we don't have to bow down - for God will deliver us - The lives of these three boys where never the same and you get bet that the king was not the same either - he must have been shocked - but in awe - maybe he bowed down to the real King - King Jesus? We can only hope - so when the world challenges you - when it pushes against your faith - you don't have to cave - you can soar on the wings of an eagle - God will deliver us - we have nothing to fear!
We don't have to give into the world's ways or idols - we can stand on the Rock at all times - this world is passing by - but God remains forever!
We don't have to give into the world's demands - we have only God to please - let's remember it's all about Him and not about us! Amen!

Knitted Together

Colossian 2:2
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;...

The Body of Christ is knit together in love, or at least it should be - Jesus paid a dear price for the church and for our very souls -
Souls this day hang in the balance -there are many who don't know Jesus that we know - and yet we have not spoken the truth over their lives - these things should not be - being knit together in love means you share that love with those who don't feel so loved - and those who are not so lovable ;-) we must be willing to go that extra mile that Christ leads us on to reach out to those on the outside - many times we stay inside our comfort zones far too much - in America we have been show what it means to be comfortable - and personally I think we have gotten far to comfortable - it's almost as if we feel out of place -something is wrong with us - but the truth of the matter is this is not our home - we are just passing through - the comfort Christ gives us by knitting follow believers together into a local church - God has a plan and purpose for each of us - He wants us to remember we are in this together - the church is a family - but sadly we go to church - talk a little surface talk and then go home - we need to take advantage of what God has given us in the church!

NO OTHER

Acts 4:11
Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved!

At the name of JESUS every knee will bow...This is the truth - one day every knee will come down to worship the LORD! Today's verse does not actually mention the name that saves us - but it's Jesus - that is clear from the Word of God - there is no other way - only by the blood of the Lamb can save - only His sacrifice for us is sufficient - our works are nothing says Paul - who calls them filthy rags - we cannot make it on our own merit - only way in is by HIS blood - Jesus paid the price for us - and it's by His name we are saved - His name is very important - for without Jesus and what He did for us -we would be lost and without hope - we might as well just do what we want - but praise GOD - Jesus did come - He did die for us and our sins - and He did rise again! He did all this for us - that we would be saved through Him - many are out there in the world right now looking for another way to God - but without Jesus you cannot get to God - Jesus had to lay down His life so we could return to a right relationship with God that was lost in the garden long ago - pray for those around you today - witness to them with your life - plant the seeds of faith today - and one day they will bloom and flourish for God glory! There is No Other who can save us - only JESUS and HIS Blood poured out on the cross - Praise HIS Name!

I am the Vine, you are the branches:
He that abides in Me and I in him, the same brings forth fruit:
for apart from Me you can do nothing.

There is a problem in today's church - we have become too self-sufficient and not as much Christ-sufficent - we have become strong in our own power - and this is not what God desires of us - He wants us to abide in Him - that means dwelling close to Jesus Christ - this means living in His word - it means worshipping Him with our very lives -it means getting out there and loving others in His name - but all done in HIS power not our own - being in American we have gotten used to doing things ourselves - we are such a society that loves to do things for ourselves - we don't like to ask for help - but that's why the Church has been set up - for us to reach out to others with the gospel - the lost and those who know Christ need the fellowship that church provided - the warning Jesus issues in today's verse must be heeded - He said that apart from HIM we can do nothing - this means all the work we do in our own power is for naught - it won't matter in the long run - but those things we have done yielded to His Spirit will last - that is what it means to abide in Him - we need to realize that this life is not ours - once handed over to Jesus it is no longer our own - but we must be continually drawn toward Jesus daily - we must abide in Him or else we can't do what HE wants us to do - like a vine that is cut - the part that becomes unattached will die - the same is true of our faith -
Let's abide in the Vine - so that we can grow in our faith!

Cornerstone

Acts 4:11
This is the stone that was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner...

The cornerstone of a building is not only the first set down - but also the most important - every other brick is measured against this cornerstone -that way the whole building will stand strong - the same is said of a life lived for Christ - if He is our cornerstone - then our lives will be measured by our realtionship with Him - so long as He is guiding our lives - then we will bring Him glory - but we must be careful that we do build our lives on the Rock - if we try and live this Christian life apart from Christ we will do nothing but fail - we must surrender it all to Jesus - the Chief Cornerstone of our lives - if our lives are build on Christ and Him alone - people will be able to tell - and our life will stand strong against the waves of this up and down world - our faith must be in the One who made it all - He knows best how to build our lives up on HIS sure foundation -
On what or whom is your life built upon? When the strong winds begin to blow - you will begin to see just where your foundation is!
Build your life on the ROCK - not on the sinking sand of this world!

Rather have a shack on the ROCK then a castle in the sand (Casting Crowns) , Daniel<><

SPEAK

ACTS 4:31
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they where assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness...

Today's verse talks about the very first Pentecost - this was when the Holy Spirit was given to the followers of Christ - in today's verse everyone in the room is filled with God's Spirit and in response they begin to pray boldly - they begin to speak the Word of God boldly - they proclaim HIS truth like never before - those of us today who know Christ have this very same Spirit within us - and because of this we too should speak the Word boldly - we are called to be the witnesses of Christ - to bring His truth to the lost world around us - one way we can do this is by speaking with our lives - we don't have to worry so much about the words we use - just as long as it is in line with God's Word - we should be more concerned with what our lives are saying - believe it or not people are watching our lives closely - those who don't know Christ are looking to us to see if we really believe what our words say - they look at our lives - we must ask ourselves just what is our life saying - sometimes we forget the lost world around us is watching - we get caught up in our own little lives - all the while the world is looking for someone to believe in! We have the answer - it's JESUS and HIS grace - that's what this dying and lost world needs now!
We are to boldly proclaim God's truth with our lives - we have all we need - God's Spirit - His Word and Grace - let's speak loudly with our lives!

He Gives Us Victory!

Psalm 44:6
I do not trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory, but You give me victory over my enemies...

This life in which we live is brief - I read yesterday that the oldest man in the world passed away - he was 113 - many of us will not make it that far - the facts are this life is short -even 100 years is not that long to God - it's but a blink in the eyes of time! It's a speak of sand in the world of beaches -
this brief life will be marked by few things - the top thing will be in what or whom did we put our trust - our hopes and dreams - if we put it in ourselves or in the approval of others we will be very sad to find out all that didn't really matter - what will matter is if we put our trust in God - this means that when things down here are tough - when it looks like God is not even there - that you trust Him - when you get that bad report that your bank account is over drawn - or the medical test looks bad - or you hear that your child is in a car accident - these are real life things - we must trust God when times are tough as well as when they are good - when we are striving to win the battle - we can only win with God - it's by HIS strength and not our own - one problem many of us face is we have it together (although no one really has it all together) and we think we no longer really need God - oh we won't come out and say it but our actions speak loudly - where do you place your trust? Our strength is nothing cam pared with God's! Trust in HIM with all you have today and forever more!

In Good and Bad times

Ecclesiastes 7:14
When times are good, be happy;
When times are bad, Consider:
God has made the one as well as the other....

In this life which we live there are both good and bad times - in any life there will be times of the greatest blessing and the harshest curse - life ebbs and flows - in and out of trials - I have heard it said you are either going into a trial - going through a trial and coming out of a trail - in this life of good and bad - God is always good - and while it's tough to say good-bye - there will be times in our lives in which we must say those hard words - personally for me - a ministry near and dear to my heart will be dissolved by next month - words cannot express how I feel about this - it's tough - but the people who make up this ministry have vowed to stay together and go where ever God calls us to go - while things will never be the same - they can be good again- in this life we will suffer warned Jesus Himself many times - and as He faced His death on the old cross - He deemed it worth it to save our souls - so if you have had to say good-bye this year - take heart - Jesus has overcome this world - He has made a way through this hard life to bring us to Himself - He is there -cry out to Him - He can envelop you in your times of loss but He will always be with you when you are cheering loudly - what a mix this life is - but in the good and bad times God is always good - say that over and over again - let those words soothe your weary heart right now - He is right there - won't you let Him come in - in the good and the bad times of your life?

Why Do You Seek Him?

JOHN 6:26
Jesus answered them and said, Truly, Truly I say to you, you seek Me not because of the miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled!

Today's edtion talks about a very pressing and hard question to have to ask - but it's one that the answer will reveal just how you feel about JESUS! Those who saw Jesus feed the five-thousand - didn't stay around because of this great miracle - but simply because they were filled - there is a spiritual application to this - we can look forward to the present time and see that there are those who come to church to been seen and not to serve - there are those who come in seeming to want peace but actually bring division - we must be on the look out for such as those - those who have no intrest in knowing Christ at all but are in it for themselves - we must be careful that we don't fall into the same trap and begin to seek God for the wrong reasons - we must seek Him because He alone can save us - He alone created it all and He alone is worthy of all our praise - we must seek Him because of Who He is - not what He can do for us - we must ask this hard question - why do we seek Him? What are we hoping to gain? We must remember when we follow Jesus we must deny ourselves and turn away from all us and follow - this is a hard saying some of His followers said at one point and many of those never followed Him again -
what about us? Will we still follow Him when times get hard and people insult us for His sake - we must be willing to give all to JESUS and not turn back!
Why do you seek Him?

False Teachers

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said to me, The prophets prophesy lies in My name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke unto them; they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

What a warning to us today! We must be careful when we listen to anyone who presents the gospel - we must check it out and pray about it before we can just take their word for it - never take my word for it - ever - God is never wrong - however His servants can be - some who teach don't mean to lead others astray - but today's verse speaks of those who whole purpose is to lead others away from Christ instead of to Christ - much of it is pride and selfish gain - it's when those who don't even know Christ try to proclaim the truth - it will always be empty without Christ! We can listen to a thousand sermons and miss the truth - this is a warning -we must be careful - we must seek God's face on our own - and not be spoon feed - we must not be naive to think that the enemy is not doing this right now in our lives -we must be watchful -we must ware the belt of truth (The Word of God) many of us have lost our zest for the Word - this should not be -we cannot survive without His mighty word - allow His word to be used by His Spirit to change our lives -there will always be false teachers out there trying to take away our faith - but they also will always have to face the One who paid the price to save us - be watchful and trust in the LORD and HIM alone! Man will lead us astray - but God never will! Amen!

Clean Us Lord!

2nd Corinthians 7:1
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in fear of God.

A life surrendered to God through Christ will become more and more pure - if not then you maybe they have not really been changed - God gets a hold of us and things change - sometimes however God does change us but then we go back to our old way of life for some reason- perhaps we think it was easier before we came to know Christ - this is just another lie of the enemy of our souls - Lately I have been going through some hard things - the loss of my Dad - and tight money (who isn't?) As well as some health issues - but God is in control and He is using all this to bring me to purity - and it's often hard - He must break us from depending on anything but Him - the trials are custom designed to bring us to a place which the outcome is a more pure heart and a closer walk with Christ - We must remember that the blood of Christ is what cleanses us from our sins - not our works- no amount work on our part could ever save us - it's where we put our dependence - are we really trusting Christ or ourselves - in what power do we live our lives? The blood of Christ has now flooded over our lives and we should never ever be the same - our cry should be Lord Clean Us - make us holy - make us like You want us to be - may we be willing to follow You wherever You lead us!
Clean our hearts our Lord by your precious blood! amen!

GOING HOME
Part 8
Colossians 3:2-4
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth,
For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When CHRIST, who is our life, shall appear, then shall we also appear with Him in glory!

The Christian life is a paradox - to become one - you must first die - and then you live - the world is opposite however - we begin our time on earth with birth that will one day end in a physical death - To follow Christ we must deny ourselves and follow Him at all costs - He is our life as today's verse proclaim - God has given us one life to live here - but when we leave here - it's not all said and done - glory awaits - I admit ive been stressed a lot about death lately - it's in the media - and closer to home as you know my Dad has gone home - this has caused me some anxiety - but God is calming me down - what I am scared of? I am not sure - there is much mystery in death - but since God made life He has all of that covered - each day is one day closer to our departure and while many don't like to think about it - one day we are gonna be leaving. That's why Paul says for us to set our affection on things above - not things on the earth - for what we can see is passing away - and what we cannot see is gonna last forever -the ultimate paradox - to live you must die - and to die in Christ is to live like never before. One day we are gonna be going home -
the question is - are we ready?

Colossians 2:12
Buried with HIM in baptism, wherein also are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God,
Who has raised Him from the dead.

In Christ is found the only hope we really have - it's only by His blood that our sins are forgiven - it's only through His baptism that we are saved - it's only by His sacrifice on the cross - but it's not about what we have done or ever could do - we cannot save ourselves -it took Christ to do the work! The hope we have in Christ is life forever more - and while our earthly bodies ware out and die - the inner man will live on - the real us will never die - God has made a way for us - He opened the door to His heaven for us - if we would just take Him at His word and trust His Son Jesus as our Lord and Savior - then heaven belongs to us - God made a way through His Son to save the world - problem is many have not heard this gospel truth - many are lost right now - heading to hell - without the knowledge of Jesus and His saving grace - it's our mission to spread this truth - not just by words but our lifestyle - it's not about us - it's not about our comfort - it's all about JESUS and HIM crucified - never forever what Christ did for you and me - He went from heaven to earth - from the manger to the cross - to the grave all for us! But that is not the end of the story - tomorrow's edition will feature the rest of the story!!

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus might be made manifest in our body...

The Christian life is one of death - yes you heard me right - We must die to ourselves in order that we might live for Christ - our life must pass away so we can allow His life to be made manifest in our lives - We must give up our rights to ourselves and allow God to have control - He will never force Himself on us - but will only loving guide us to Himself - He wants us to make the choice - He did not make us robots who just obey - He instead has given us a free will - we have a choice to either follow Him or not - He will never force us to follow Him - however He will allow things to come into our lives so that we will keep focused on Him and the life to come - this world is not all there is - When we give up our lives to follow Christ - He takes over - the old is forever gone - the new has come - in Christ we are brand new - so trust in the Savior - Allow His Death to bring you life - allow His Spirit to flood your life - and when all is said and done - we have lived a life that will bring Him glory! No matter what happens God should always receive our praise - Die to Self and now live in Christ! Amen!

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ...

Just what are we looking for out of life? God has given us this life as a gift - He wants to teach us about Himself during this brief stay on planet Earth - God has a plan for every moment of our lives - but do we trust Him with the very lives He created? Many times we want some control in the matter - but God has a very different plan for us - God wants to show us - to teach - He wants us to be more like Him and less like we are - He wants to use us - He has a plan - the problem is many of us want to hang on to self - we want to hang on to what is comfortable - we happen to enjoy it here - many of us live very full lives that are focused on Christ - however there are many many distractions along the way - and if we are not careful - the goal we have in mind won't line up with God's and then we have a big problem on our hands - God will get His way in the end - His plan is already established - He knows infinitely more then we ever could - this life in which we live won't last forever -Glory awaits us - are we looking forward to that time or are we caught up in the here and now so much that Heaven is not really even in view? Our lives must be about bringing God glory - if they don't - then we are wasting out time - God has a plan for your life - and that plan will continue until He calls us home -
God wants you to know He loves you and cares for you - there is nothing in this world that could ever take His mighty love away for us - Are you waiting for this glorious hope? We all need to keep looking up!

It's been nearly 2 weeks since I have done any devotionals - so long in fact I have gotten out of practice - so please bear with me - God has been really speaking to me this past week about a lot of things - He has used several people and events to bring this about - I have had to take a long hard look at myself and this ministry - I had to be sure this what God wanted me to continue to do - and I believe it is - God wants me to learn much these days - it's been very painful lately not just for me - but for many - many famous people have gone on to eternally since last time I wrote a devo. Famous people die every day - but also those who may not be so famous - I pray for all those who lost loved ones - I know they grieve just like I have had to do - but the good news is if they knew JESUS CHRIST they are now in heaven!! Today's verse tells us we are justified not by our good works (which are not really good at all) but by Grace given to us by God - Jesus presented His very life on the altar so that would be saved through Him - the good news is if your loved one knew Christ - they live on in glory - of course we cannot fathom what they really means - but some day we will too experience this - God has promised this to those who follow His Son - Who are you following in your life? If it's not Christ then you will be lead in the wrong direction! Glory awaits and JESUS is the path way that we all must take! Glory to God in the Highest!!!

2nd Corinthians 1:9
But we had in ourselves the sentence of death, that we should not trust ourselves, but in God who raises the dead!

Paul states the truth we all have to live with - the very fact that sin causes death is seen clearly in this verse - what do our lives bring us? Simply death - what does JESUS bring us - Simply life - there is no life at all apart from Him -
He alone is our lives - I love what a song I heard says - "that all we can bring is sin" - we are sinful fallen creatures - but one thing makes those who know Christ different - because Christ dwells in us - while our flesh will one day die - the real us - will live on forever - matter a fact anyone born will live on forever - the problem is where will we spend forever? There is only two choices - I will leave that up to the reader and the Holy Spirit to reveal this truth to you! The fact that our lives bring death should cause us to put our trust in the unchanging God - the God that has always been - unchangeable - He never has to change because He is perfect - God sent His Son to die in our place so we could have life with Him forever - but sadly not everyone will choice Christ - He alone is the way to God - He has plainly said in His word - we must trust Him for eternal life - one day we will be going home - again my question to you - Are you ready? Jesus brings us life by His death - our lives only bring death apart from Him - one thing you can be sure of - we will not remain here in our current state forever - we will be leaving one day - we don't know when - but God has a plan for us - when we trust Him it will all work out - but if we don't - our problems have just begun -

JOHN 12:25
He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep unto life eternal.

Today's verse brings to mind when Jesus said to the rich young ruler to sell all he had and give it to the poor - then you will have all you need - this was a very odd statement as is today's - but we must go deeper - what I believe Jesus is saying is that if we love our lives in the hear and now - another words - if that's all we focus on - we will miss the whole picture - it's so tough as we have physical bodies that need physical care - it's only natural to concentrate on what you can see instead of what you can't - Jesus says that if you love this life more then the one to come - you have problems - also the verse that asked the question, What does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul? , brings this all back around - we must ask ourselves some very hard questions - we must ask ourselves what are we really living for - we must have some answers to these tough questions - so what is the point of all this? I believe we should have our feet planted on earth but our hearts should be in heaven - a song by the group NewSong spoke to me many years ago - it was called.. My Heart Is Already There! And this should be the message of our lives - now some will say if you go to far and keep focused on what to come - you will be no earthly good - to a degree that is correct -we must have balance in our lives - sure we must care for our families - God commands us to - so we must live in the here and now - but we must not live as if heaven is not real - nor should we live as if we will live just like we are forever - God wants our hearts and all the rest - are we willing to give over control to the One who made it all?
While this series is about going home - it's also about living right now - with Christ in us - we can do anything and everything - keep your eyes on CHRIST!

TO FIND THE WAY TO HEAVEN , FOLLOW JESUS!

GOING HOME
Part 1

2nd Corinthians 4:16
For which cause we faint not!, but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day...

Today I begin a new series - to some this subject is very hard to talk about - it's not easy to talk about I would agree - but it's something we must consider - none of us know how long we have - God has not told us when we are leaving - He has a reason for this - because it's really not that important - what is important is were our reservations are for the life to come. This subject is fresh on my heart due to the passing of my Dad just 12 days ago - it all seems very surreal right now - but one thing I do know is my Dad was ready to go home - he told me several times during the last couple of days of his life that he was ready to go home - what he didn't like was the process of getting there - I believe fully that Jesus took my Dad home on that day - I know my Dad is with God right now- what a thought! This series is called Going Home - we all will face this one day - unless Jesus come back before we are to leave. Paul wrote that while the outward man (our flesh) is passing away ( a side note -we can take care of our bodies - we can exercise - eat right - but still our bodies will ware out) The flesh will not be alive forever -and another way of thinking about it - is that our flesh is actually dead - it won't be redeemed - we will get new bodies says God's Word - we can do all we can and yet still have to face a physical death - at one time our bodies were to live forever but the fall in the garden so long ago changed all that - Paul also noted that our inner man - the one that will live on forever - is being renewed daily - Jesus will one day take us home - our lives here won't last forever -we must face this fact - we live in a fallen sinful world and because of that we are all at risk - but before you panic - realize God is in control and you won't be living this place until HE says so -
He is in full control - He knows what is best - He just asks that we trust Him!
My question for you today is this - Are you ready to hear that call from JESUS? If not - you can trust Him today and your reservations will be made for heaven -
our real home!

SIN CAUSES DEATH, JESUS BRINGS LIFE!

In Our Hands
JOHN 6:15
When JESUS therefore perceived that they would come and take Him by force, to make Him a king, He departed again into the mountain by Himself alone!

Today's verse talks about JESUS when the people wanted to take Him by force to make Him an earthly king - Jesus left them and went by Himself alone to the mountain to pray - when we try and put it in our hands - Jesus knows far better and He won't let it happen - many times in this life it may seem easier to follow after the crowd of this world - when people do things for us - we often want to crown them - it was not yet Jesus' time to be King - though He rightfully was - but not a king of this world - He is King eternal! These men wanted to make Jesus king so that they could live the good life now - they didn't want to really follow the Savior as He was - they wanted glory now - they wanted power now and if we are not careful - we will try and get this as well - all of us like to popular - and we like it when other compliment us - but if that is all we are living for - we live an incomplete life - we need to remember that when we put in our hands - we prevent God for doing His will through us - He has given us a free will and HE can take us or leave us - He is GOD alone - He does not need us at all - but yet He wants to use us - many times we try to wrestle for control of our lives -we need to surrender and give God full control over our lives - this is the best life - where we place our trust is so very important - we must keep our eyes sharply focused on Christ at all times - this evil world will tempt us with it's many lusts - stand strong in Christ!

WHO'S HANDS IS YOUR LIFE IN?

Then said JESUS to those Jews which believed on Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are My disciples!"

Do you remember when you came to know Jesus as your Savior? Do you remember the day when it all clicked and you gave your life away to the only One worthy of having it - what a day of celebration that was - sadly for many of us it's been so long that tend to forget just what happened that day - that moment - we passed from death to life that day - the old way had ended and we took on a new way - we became new creations - and we would never ever be the same - time goes by and we get used to being saved and we begin to take it for granted and we tend to get a little lazy and don't follow as closely as we once day - these things should not be so - but I know in my life - I don't do what I should do - and in doing so fail to follow Jesus like I should - all of us have this same problem -we live in a fallen sin filled world and this often causes us to stumble - but there is hope - it's found in Christ alone -
He says if we are to be HIS followers - we must continue in His word -we are the Body that must be lived out for the dying world around us to see - that should be our purpose no matter what else God has called us to! We must be doers of the word -because if we only hear it and don't continue in it - we will get lost along the way - and won't be walking with Jesus like we have been called to do - let's continue - no matter what we face - let's always follow Jesus till the end - finishing well should be our goal - each moment that passes should become sweeter and sweeter as we draw closer to Jesus!
Continue in HIS word today.........amen!

What Shall We Say?

What shall we then say to these things?
If GOD be for us, who can be against us?

These words that Paul penned sure are comforting for us today -
with the job market falling out of the sky - and talk of disease everywhere -it's so easy to get down and in the dumps - but when this happens -all we have to is look up - for that is where we find the life we have - Jesus is our life-source - for we were created by HIM and for Him! I must admit in my own life - these past couple of months have been extremely trying - from a diagnosis of having an enlarged heart with some other issues - to my Dad being told he has lung cancer - this is very personal but I think it's very important to be open about it - to share my struggles - to let you know we are never alone - to let us all know that GOD is in command and control - He allows what HE does for HIS glory - so to us there should be no worries - if GOD is for us - who can be against us?
What shall we say to these things? There is no one greater then our GOD - HE commands every the grass of the field to move - He made all you see and all you will ever see - I could hide these trials from you - but I feel it's not in the best interest of representing the Christian life to do so - in this I mean I want to show everyone that while GOD has called me to do this daily - my life is very far from perfect - but in God's eyes - it's just right - the same goes for your life - God made you and He loves you - nothing in all the world can ever take that love away - God is for us - just let that sink in - He is for us! He made us - He loves us and He sent JESUS so He could save us! These trials in the here and now won't last forever - but GOD always will - He will never ever leave us - He is with us now - What shall we say? Praise GOD! For HE alone is worthy of our praise - I don't praise HIM because my circumstances are good - but because of who HE is - What shall we say? Praise the LORD!

No Matter Your Circumstances -GOD IS GOOD!

Take heed, watch and pray: for you know not when the time is.

One day all this will end. One day Jesus will come back as He should and HE will close down this whole show and all who know HIM will go home and spend every moment with their Savior - but when this day will come - only God Himself knows - if you find someone who stands up and points to an exact date - don't believe them - it's plain in God's Word - there are many false prophets that have risen up in these last days to point to a spacific day - now don't get me wrong - I do believe in Prophesy - but again only God knows when the last day will be - it's all in HIS hands - as it always has been - He has a plan and until it comes to pass - this world will keep right on spinning - it's at His command it all was made and at His command it will all end - and I don't believe He has to ask anyone permission to do this - He made it all - He can end it all - it's all in HIS power and in HIS timing - not ours - many want to look like they are super spiritual and predict the end of the world -since the beginning of time many have made such predictions and so far none of them have come to pass - we are still here - it's all in God's hands - not ours - so why worry about the last day - let's live each day as if it were our last - we never know how much time we have left - that too is in God's hands - One day our lives will end and we will go home - we have two chooses and this is very unpopular - but nonetheless true - heaven or hell - many will say this is not political correct - but it's the truth - Jesus paid the price to save us - and He saved us from hell! Amen - We will spend eternality somewhere -the question is where - you never know when this all will end - let's take heed and watch and pray as the LORD is on His way - some day soon this all will draw to a close - but no man will know when! Only GOD! amen!

During my prayer time on my way home -this thought just hit me - we are to praise GOD no matter what happens in any given 24 hours - some days are rough - if you live in this world - you will have to deal with trials - Jesus has even warned us many times to expect trials in this life - that's just a part of living in a world that has fallen into sin - While our days may be rough - we are to praise the LORD because of who HE Is - for HIS greatness - He alone is worthy of our and all praise - many times we all circumstances to dictate how we praise Him - this should not be - God is good regardless of what is happening in our lives - He has allowed what He has for His purpose - and the sooner we realize this - the better - when all is said and down - we gotta praise HIM! He is good no matter what our circumstances say - He is good because that is His nature - we are to praise HIS mighty name for the good works He has done in our lives - but that's not all - we should always praise Him for the trials He allows into our lives - we must trust Him more and more as we live this life day after day - He alone is to be Praised! He alone is worthy! Just gotta praise HIS name forever! Amen!

We live in a time when children no longer respect their parents - you even hear of children divorcing their parents - this is very shocking - when I was being raised I was taught to obey those in authority over me - not that it is easy to conform to this - but it's a part of growing up - sadly today - children seem to be the ones in control - there is very little respect these days for those who have been around longer then other - now this is not to say that there are not those who do respect their parents - but society as a whole has made it passe to respect your parents - many children demand what parents willing give to their children as if it was their right - it's not actually - we are called to respect - honor and love our parents - they brought us into this world - they took care of us when we were growing up - sure none of them did it all right - but if you are living and breathing - they did a great job - we are called to honor our parents - I am learning that our parents won't be with us forever - we have a limited time with them - this is so clear to me now - now that my Dad is in the hospital and tests are looming - we don't know what the prognosis will be - but in the mean time I plan to spend as much time as I can with him and my Step Mom - as we grow we begin to see our parents are not super human after all - they are just like us - they do their job each day - and it's not easy in today's world - we are to honor and respect our parents - it's vital that we do that during the "Living Years" we never know when our time will be up - each moment we have with our parents is a blessing - have your called your parents in a while? Maybe you are not on speaking terms with them - why not make a change today - put the past where it belongs - in the past and begin to show them your love - honor and respect - you won't be sorry you did!

God has given us parents - even if its a single Mom or Dad - the point is - God put them in our lives - let's love them and respect them - in doing so we love and respect GOD Himself! Amen!
