MEMORIAL DAY- REMEMBER
Matthew 5:16
Let your light shine before men, that they might see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven!
Today we celebrate Memorial Day - a day set aside to remember those who have given their lives for the freedom of this great nation - their lives where laid on the line so that you and me could be free- they deemed it with it -we were worth it - they went bravely into battle- they did not want to go but knew it was the only way we could be free - Lets not forget all those who paid for our freedom -its not a right -but a privilege granted through the great sacrifice of others- One thing I do to celebrate my freedom is to live free- knowing full well that my very freedom might bring me death - there are those in the world that want nothing more then to destroy our great nation - they are not attacking from outside but from within -much like satan does -this enemy does not care if it must die to bring down our nation - they will stop at nothing to do that very thing - but one thing these terrorists did not count on was the resolve of our freedom fighters - our President has given them his full support and fight rages on - some question why have such a war- many call the brave acts of these brave men and women as a mistake - as not worth their sacrifice -they fail to under stand that all freedom comes with a high price- its never free- our freedom in CHRIST cost HIM His very life -He willingly went to the cross for you and me to liberate us from hell! JESUS came so that we should live -HE fought the battle for us and won - which brought us true freedom! Today many will just take the day of without even thinking about those who laid down their lives- that is very sad - there are brave men and women this very moment in danger - they have put their lives on the line- having signed up to give their lives away if necessary -lets not forget those far from home - those who are maybe away for the first time -the cost is great - but freedom is worth it!I SALUTE the brave men and women of our armed forces -I want to give you all a standing ovation! THANK YOU FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO!GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Lets celebrate our freedom today - remember those who gave their lives to secure our freedom! They gave all!~
American - America - God shines on thee - America America - the battle for freedom rages on and on - many have gone home - leaving their families behind - lets not let what they did be in vain -lets remember what it cost to make us free!
American-America - God shines HIS light on thee!
many are shining the light of God on those they battle with - these brave men and women have fought in the long hard battle and are not afraid of much at all- they share their faith by living it out loud! Thanks for the service to God, Family and Nation!

My 15 yr old nephew was out riding Quad ATV's this morning (5/26) and crashed his. As I am writing this, he is being airlifted to a trauma center. He was not wearing a helmet, but the Lord covered him and he has no known head injury. He has bad pain in his hip and pelvic bones area.
I have to leave to first go pray at church and then go to the hospital.
Please keep him in prayer. Dawn D.

PRESS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MAY NO SOLDIER GO UNLOVED: BOOK 1
Pasadena, CA (May 30, 2007) – In the past four years, Soldiers' Angels has grown to become the country's largest military support non-profit organization. May No Soldier Go Unloved: Book 1, by Jeff Bader (272 pp, $19.95, presale at www.angelsstore.org), chronicles the incredible journey of one woman's desire to help, and how that has drawn over 120,000 volunteers and millions of dollars to her cause.
Patti Patton Bader has the heart of Mother Teresa, the motivational mastership of Vince Lombardi, and the mobilization skills of Genghis Khan. She was raised an army brat; the great niece of the famous World War II General George S. Patton, daughter of decorated Vietnam Veteran Lt. Colonel David W. Patton, and brother of Iraqi War Veteran David Patton.
When her oldest son, Brandon, was sent to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, in the spring of 2003, she decided to send him at least one care package a day and keep a blog of the events that occurred in Iraq and Afghanistan as an electronic scrapbook for Brandon when he returned.
What started out as a mother's small commitment to her son, soon turned into Soldiers' Angels. Assisting deployed troops around the world, Soldiers' Angels sends care packages and letters of encouragement to those in the field, provides first response backpacks and blankets of hope to the wounded, ships voice activated laptops to soldiers who have lost their arms, hands, or sight, and delivers "living trees" to the fallen hero's families who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Patti has received numerous awards and tons of letters of appreciation from soldiers, airmen, sailors, marines, family members, doctors, nurses, the Surgeon General of the Army, the Secretary of Defense, and the President of the United States. The Smithsonian Institute now hosts the same blog that Patti started years ago, brandonblog.com, which is still updated daily.
Patti Patton Bader is a regular guest on numerous radio shows around the country, and the stories of her and other Soldiers' Angels' deeds and actions are published in local newspapers and magazines almost daily. Her newsletter alone raises several millions of dollars a year in donations. She takes not even one dime for compensation, and does all of this from her bed with a laptop computer, a big screen TV, and a cell phone.
Patti has Hepatitis C and fibrosis of the liver, and is often confined to her bed. She is in extreme pain most waking hours.
I should know… I'm her husband.
My wife is an amazing example of selflessness, patriotism, caring and dedication. Like an angel, she has anonymously and thanklessly touched the lives of many people she doesn't know. She works from the time she gets up in the early morning to the time she falls asleep from exhaustion late at night. Patti Patton Bader is a true American patriot. This is her story and the story of the founding of Soldiers' Angels.
May No Soldier Go Unloved: Book 1 , by Jeff Bader, is available at www.angelsstore.org for $19.95. The first 1000 copies will be signed by the author, and by Patti Patton Bader. This is the first in a series of books to be published about Soldiers' Angels and its journey.
