WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
Part 17- We have no fear!

2nd Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind!

The words of today's verse really challenge me - I have a daily struggle with fear- I fear this and I fear that - this is one area I struggle with -and I know I must surrender it to JESUS - HE does not give us a spirit of fear - the enemy however wants us to be fearful - he wants us to keep quiet - to stay in our holy huddles - God however wants us to live life outside our comfort zones - Ive allowed fear to prevent me from doing many things in my life - This spirit is not from Jesus - He has given us a spirit of love and of power -we are victors in Christ -but yet we allow the enemy to push us around - fear can paralyze you - it can cause you to lose friends - and miss out on many things in life -I should know- this struggle with fear I have is one battle I cannot win - among many others - fear seems to take away our faith in God and His power and grace- we tend to forget His goodness when we are fearful - the only fear we should have is of God Himself- this fear it total respect and worship - fully knowing God could end our lives with a single point of His finger -we are at His mercy - He is God and that kind of fear is both healthy and proper - but a fear of other people - a fear of failure - a fear of what others might think about us is not - we must surrender all our fears to JESUS - sure the unknown can cause fear -for we do not know what tomorrow may bring - but we know who holds tomorrow!
Lets not live lives of fear- lets not let the enemy take away our sound mind - our mind must be focused on Jesus - He is all that really matters anyway - once you get your relationship with Christ in order - all the rest will fall into place-
I am sick and tired of letting my fear rule me - God should be the one to rule me -
Pray for me as I pray for you -
Lets not fear! NO FEAR should be our call!
Amen - lets fight the good of faith each moment each day!

A SIDE NOTE:
Jesus said time and time again in the WORD for us to fear not - HE must have known fear was an issue all of us have from time to time - when fear rules us - it takes our faith away - and causes us to think its all about us - well its all about JESUS and not all about us - fear not should be our daily battle cry!

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
Part 16- We are citizens of Heaven!

Philippians 3:20
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!


When you are a child of God - you are also a citizen of Heaven -this world as we know it is not our home - this is not all there is - just a look into the night sky can show this truth -we are not alone in this universe- there is a God who made us - made everything -and He will draw it all to a close one day and history as we know it will be no more -we are duel-citizens right now - we live on this world and its all we know but as children of God we are also citizens in heaven- heaven was once closed off to us because of sin- JESUS came and opened the door for us to come in and fellowship with Him - we should hold loosely to the things of this world - we are not to get too comfortable here -God shows us that we are not here for long -our lives are not long here at all -compared to all eternity -the time we have here is nothing - we must be prepared at all times to go home - this place is not our home- the problem we humans have is getting attached to things- we start to believe the lie that this is all there is - each day is one day closer to the end - Jesus is on HIS way and He will come back just in time - we are not home yet -this is just a dress rehearsal for heaven ive heard someone say once- this is true - we are not here for long - everything here is temporary - although most of the time act like we have been here for ever and that we will be here forever - we all are on our way home - if you know CHRIST -then you already have the reservations for heaven-
One day we will leave this place and we will be with the LORD -until that time we will not be home yet- We are citizens of heaven first and foremost -we must surrender to Jesus and ask Him to come into our lives so we can enter in to this fellowship with God - we are awaiting our home - wait on the Lord - HE will be here just in time!

A SIDE NOTE:
This world is a poor substitute to our true home in heaven with God -as wonderful and beautiful a creation this place is - Heaven must be so great that mere words do not do it justice -we all await God's call to bring us Home with HIMSELF forever- are you ready to receive this call - lets worship the LORD and thank HIM right now for heaven - our home is coming into view - wait on the Lord!

WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST? WE ARE CITIZENS OF HEAVEN!

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
Part 15- We will become complete in CHRIST!

Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that He which
has begun a good work in you will perform in
until the day of Jesus Christ!

When God found us -we were lost -we were hopeless - lost in our sin condition -He had to reach down and pick us up - He had to take what was hopeless and make it hopeful -HE sent JESUS to take our place- to become sin for us -We now do not get what we do deserve and we don't get what we do! We have grace through Christ -its a precious gift that only HE could give! He knows what will happen tomorrow and at the end of time - He knows the beginning and the end - and He does not create junk - once HE saves you - you become more and more like Him - His mission is to make you just like Himself -this takes time - while there are some conversions that are over night -note Paul on the road to Damascus - but others take a life time - we must always strive to grow closer and closer to Christ -and the only way to do this is a daily surrender - God will complete the work but we must be willing to take a leap of faith - We are moment by moment being confirmed into His image -our lives once in HIS hands should no longer be what we were before we came to know Him - ive heard it said that we are works in progress - God is gonna grow us up into Christ - this takes time -but fear not He will complete the work so that you will be just like JESUS - surrender to JESUS today and allow HIM to mold you like clay in the potters hands -we must be willing to allow this to happen - its not about what we can do -its about what HE has already done - He saved us and He will change us into HIS likeness - this is good news -in the meantime -lets live lives of complete surrender to the LORDSHIP of CHRIST!
Lets walk by faith and not by sight!

God always finishes what HE starts- and HIS goal is to make you just like JESUS!

THE GOAL IS TO BE LIKE JESUS - WE CAN ONLY GET THERE BY HIS POWER!

The Daily Blueprint 1-26-07

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
Part 14- We are hidden with CHRIST in GOD!

Colossians 3:1-4
If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ. who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with Him in glory!

As we have continued on through this series on who we are in Christ we have found many awesome blessings- we are free in Christ -we are unified in Christ- and in Christ we have our lives purpose- we are forever changed when we come to know Christ- no more so then when we are hidden in Christ in God - another words to me this say that we are no longer on our own -we are hidden in Christ- who has taken our sins away - offered and given us salvation and has brought His Spirit to reside in us - we are not the same anymore nor can we ever be the same again- our lives are no longer our own - we have died with Christ and also will be risen one day with Him - the world around us is also dead but in another way - they are spiritually dead - God sees those who know HIS SON as alive but those who don't as dead - God sees it all at once -if you know HIM your life is hidden in HIM - He is your life now - its no longer your own -you where bought with a price - a very high price -and JESUS was willing to pay with His own life- As ive been studying in Romans- ive been learning that Paul wanted to give up his salvation so his countrymen could be saved -this was not possible - but Paul was willing -the good news is that today - if you are lost you can know God today - just trust the Son -its as simple as that -our lives are now hidden in Christ in God - and we will never ever be the same - lets celebrate His life in us today and forever more!
We are hid in CHRIST! amen!

A SIDE NOTE:
As children we often played Hide and go seek - in the same way - we are hidden in Christ - the enemy cannot have us any more -we belong to JESUS - He has taken over the ownership of our lives -are you hidden in CHRIST or just caught out in the world?

WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST? YOU ARE HIDDEN IN GOD!

LIVIN IN THE WORD FOR FRIDAY 1-26-07
WE ARE BOTH HIDDEN AND FOUND IN CHRIST!

The Daily Blueprint 1-25-07

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
Part 13- We established-anointed & sealed by GOD!

2nd Corinthians 1:21-22
Now He which establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us is God; Who has also sealed us, and has given us the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts!

We are established in Christ -we are also anointed in Christ and finally we are sealed in Christ -each one of these promises is very vital to our faith -first we must know who we stand for - is it the world -is it ourselves or is it Jesus? Second we must be anointed by the Holy Spirit so that we can live a righteous life in Christ- the Spirit will now direct all our steps and finally we are sealed in Christ- meaning once you have HIS SPIRIT in you - you belong to GOD forever- you cannot lose your salvation -once you are really saved - nothing can separate you from HIS Love! Christ has taken our old sinful and sin-filled lives and brought a new life - a new heart and a new purpose for our lives -we will never be the same - if you have known Him for a long time or just a few months - in each stage there are some growing pains -when you trust in CHRIST your life cannot help but change- there must be a change - if not then maybe you have not known Him personally -knowing about Him and knowing Him are two vastly different things - we must first be established in Christ and then anointed in Him and finally sealed in Him-
This takes place at the moment of salvation -but sanctification takes a lifetime -
Lets celebrate our new identity in CHRIST - our lives are forever changed and transformed by HIM - praise HIM today and always!

A SIDE NOTE:
When JESUS died on the cross for you and me HE did not only saved us from death and sin - but also saved us for life -this life- and we only have one life to live - when we leave this place we still exist -are you established in CHRIST? And Sealed in CHRIST as well as Anointed by HIS SPIRIT? IF not ask JESUS into your heart by faith and HE WILL SAVE YOU! Amen! Thank YOU JESUS!

TO KNOW THE TRUTH YOU MUST KNOW CHRIST

The Daily Blueprint 1-24-07

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
Part 12- We cannot be seperated from HIS love!

Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

These words from Paul totally inspired by the Holy Spirit point out nothing can ever separate us from God's love -Paul does not leave any room for an asterisks in his letter to the Romans- there are no exceptions once you come to know Jesus - there may be trouble in your life right now- things may look very bad -and times may even seem very hard- at times it may seem that Jesus has left you - but this will not really be the case- He has promised to never leave nor forsake us - He will never change His mind about your status in Christ His Son! Once redeemed by His blood you are saved forever more - from death - you also have peace that passes all understanding - be secure today that if you are in CHRIST there is nothing now -nothing later -nothing ever that will separate you from HIS love!
This is a promise -and its a promise you can dwell on - even at our worst when we believe in our hearts Jesus wants nothing to do with us -HE remains with us! He will remain with us until the end of our lives here and beyond - nothing can take His love away from us - we cannot do anything once saved that can take that love away - there is nothing you can do to make God love you more or less - once you belong to Him - you will remain in His hands forever- lets rest in this reassurance today - no matter what is going on in your life -God has a plan - He has a purpose for what is happening right now- nothing happens outside of His knowledge- nothing can separate us from God's love -nothing at all - praise God for this awesome life-giving and life-changing truth - God is for us -who can be against us?
Praise God!!!!!!

A SIDE NOTE:
when Paul says nothing -he means it - nothing in this world can take away God's love for you- nothing can! Jesus died for us and His one time death and resurrection saves us from our sins - We belong to HIm now and what He says goes! He knows what is best and knows that once you are in HIS embrace - He will never let go!Nothing can take His Love away - believe and live it today and always!

WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST? Never Separated from HIS love!

LIVIN IN THE WORD FOR WEDNESDAY 1-24-07
WHEN YOU ARE IN CHRIST NOTHING CAN TAKE AWAY GOD'S LOVE!

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
Part 11- We are free from Condemnation!

Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death!

This verse in Romans is one of my favorites - its got such power -such promise and such hope - Paul says that if we are in CHRIST -there is no condemnation! This is great news- perhaps the greatest news of all - all our past sins - all our failures are no longer effecting us spiritually - they may effect us in the present flesh state- but after all is said and done - our sins are totally forgiven - the enemy of our souls wants to condemn us and he also wants us to condemn others- we have been called to love those that God places in our path - we are to love them like Christ loves us- we are not here to condemn anyone - we must be salt and light to the world around us - God has set us free for this very purpose- He does not want us to be burdened with condemnation any longer - He has forgiven our sins -we either believe Him or we don't - apart from CHRIST we all are subject to death - not just a physical death - but a spiritual death - God has given us HIS SON to save us from that death - when someone condemns us - its not God - Jesus came to fulfill the law - and He did - He came to save us from our sins -and He did!
Lets remember that we are no longer condemned if we are in CHRIST!
Lets celebrate the victory we have in CHRIST -We are victors in CHRIST!Praise GOD!

A SIDE NOTE:
Before we came to the knowledge of Christ and were saved -we were already condemned - we did not know JESUS and our sins were not forgiven - but now if you have CHRIST in your heart -you are totally 100% forgiven - no exceptions!

WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST? YOU ARE NOT CONDEMNED!

LIVIN IN THE WORD FOR TUESDAY 1-23-07
WHEN GOD FORGIVES US - HE TAKES OUR SINS AND GIVES US RIGHTEOUSNESS!

The Daily Blueprint 1-22-07

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
Part 10- We have access to God!

Hebrews 4:14-16
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with feeling of our infirmities: but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

In CHRIST our LORD we have access to God the Father at all times - its though JESUS that we come to GOD! The doorway that was closed tight when sin entered the world has once again been opened - apart from Christ there would never be any access - we have a wonderful opportunity that few of us really take seriously - our prayers are actually heard by God Himself! When He hears our prayers they go through JESUS first and become perfect- we have an open line of communication that is a gift - at any time and in any place we have full access to God - this means we have God's ears available to our requests -God sees us through HIS SON - we are now prefect in Him - its not our self effort which by the way is only sin -that's all we can really bring to JESUS is our lives -which apart from HIM would be sin - He became sin for us - He took all our sins and gave us life instead - and opened the door wide for God's children to talk to HIM at all times- our access is also direct- we do not need a pastor or priest to bring us to God - this is done solely by JESUS HIMSELF - His obedience - His willingly heart that was willing to die in our place set the ball rolling to open the communication once again- and not only do we get to talk with GOD - HE now can speak to us - lets always remember our place in CHRIST - we have full and complete access to GOD - and our GOD Is never too busy -HE can see all at once and know all at once- this is the God we serve - rejoice in the access HE has given us in HIM!

A SIDE NOTE:
Unlike Cell Phones which are likely to drop a call- JESUS never drops a single call -there is nothing to small or too large for HIM to answer! There also is never a busy signal - and we don't have a monthly bill and a limited number of minutes and our access to God is wireless as well - all it takes is going to your knees in prayer-
WE HAVE ACCESS TO GOD - lets use it every moment of every day!

WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST? YOU HAVE ACCESS TO GOD!

LIVIN IN THE WORD FOR MONDAY 1-22-07
WHATEVER OUR NEED - GOD IS WAITING TO HEAR FROM US!

The Daily Blueprint 1-19-07

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 9- We are Complete!

Colossians 2:9-10
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in Him, which is the head of
all principality and power!

Early in my Christian life I was living this way - I was joyful and happy when things went the way I wanted them - I felt I was most blessed when this happened - but in reality it never happened - I was always living out of the "If only" mentality -if only I had a bigger house- a newer car - a better job - more money - ect- I would be happy - but the truth is all we need is JESUS -that's all -and He is enough -we are complete in Him -we lack for nothing spiritually speaking when we have CHRIST living in us - the main problem we have is living out of this simple and yet profound truth - We don't need anything else -only JESUS -

There will be times in our of our lives when we do not understand what it going on -times when it seems like God has all but left us - times when we cannot move -times when we are so low down - just getting up is a long way to go - life can be hard - sometimes there are no easy answers - but the truth is if you have JESUS that's all you need - God knows what we have need of better then we do - so if you are at a low point -take heart -God will not leave you there forever -just long enough so He purpose can come to pass - Ive said it many times - if only I had this or that - but when you have JESUS - that's all you need-

The world around us says we must have whatever we want whenever we want - but with God - He knows far better what we need then anyone - He knows that without a personal relationship with Him through HIS Son- His children will die in their sins - lets rejoice in the fact today that we are compete in JESUS - we lack for nothing!Praise GOD!

A SIDE NOTE:
We now belong to God - He owns everything -the stuff here is just on loan to us -this includes our now bodies - but soon JESUS will return and we will recieve His grace -
All we need is HIM - He made us to need HIM - that's what its all about! Amen!

IN CHRIST WE LACK NOTHING!

The Daily Blueprint 1-18-07

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 8- We are forgiven!

Colossians 1:13-14
Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the firstborn of every creature!


Our sin has a high price- not only to us in a personal way - but also to those around us - you cannot sin without consequences - even if you don't see them right away - our sin cost us our very lives - we now have to die physically - before the fall of Adam and Eve we where to live here forever -this world was perfect- paradise -but sin took it all away - look at the lives of those who have not been redeemed by the blood -they are steeped in sin and they have no escape but through the blood of JESUS - we must come to the Father through the Son- this is the only passage way there is - we are forgiven and set free in Christ- this is good news - perhaps the best news of all -that the darkness of sin no longer has hold on us if we trust Jesus -the flesh still hangs around until our last breath and we will battle with it until then- all of us fall short -all of can and often do sin - but God has so much better plans for us then we have - He set us free and redeemed us so we could be free to enter into His presence and one day live with Him forever-
We have this promise that because Christ died for our sin- HE took the death that we all deserve away - this is the second death -the death of the spirit- without Christ we would all have to face this death-
Lets be thankful today of who we are in CHRIST our LORD!

A SIDE NOTE:
JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOU AND ME - OUR SINS PLACED HIM ON THE CROSS BUT HIS LOVE FOR US KEPT HIM THERE - THE POWER OF DARKNESS NO LONGER CAN HAVE A HOLD ON OUR LIVES - LETS WORSHIP GOD IN SUCH A WAY THAT BRINGS HIM HONOR!

WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST? FORGIVEN!

LIVIN IN THE WORD FOR THURSDAY 1-18-07
THE ONLY SIN THAT IS NOT FORGIVEN IS UNBELIEF!

The Daily Blueprint 1-17-07

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 7- We were chosen!

Ephesians 1:5
. . . having predestinated us unto the adoption of children
by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to His good
pleasure of His will!

Before time began God had a plan to save His creation -God had to know what our choice would be before He even thought about the idea of making us - after all He did not have to make us - He has been around forever and ever - He has no beginning and will have no end - He was doing just fine without us - but it was love that motivated Him to make all we know right now -its amazing to think that God selected us before we knew Him - He knew who would come to HIM and who would not - He made all things for our enjoyment and made us for His - He wanted to create a creation that He could love -for God is love and He expressed that love in JESUS and also expresses today - We were chosen - We were selected for HIS will - be thankful today if you know Him as LORD! This means you are among HIS chosen! We did not chose Him but He chose us - I cannot say I can completely understand this - its beyond our minds ability to understand such a thing - God sees all at once -past -present and future are all the same to Him - He works outside of time - so He is not effected by time - He made time - He was before there was time - Our GOD is so great that He used JESUS to save us by HIS death on the cross -God became a man - the story of Christmas is revealed in this truth today - Love motivated HIM to create this world and us -He has given us all we need - He is amazing - He chose you - He made a way for us to know Him - He paid the price for our sin and brought us back to HIMSELF! He is praiseworthy!
Praise Him today - amen! =-)

A SIDE NOTE:
God knows the beginning and the end of each of our lives -He chose us before the world began - He knows us each personally -better then anyone -we belong to HIM - we have been adopted into HIS family - lets rejoice in this today!

WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST? YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN!

GOD CHOSE US BEFORE WE EVER KNEW HIM

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 6- We are part of HIS body!

1st Corinthians 12:27
Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular!

When we come to know JESUS as our SAVIOR we become a part of HIS family -or Body as He calls it - We are all needed in the body of Christ - none more important then the other -you can have a wonderful pastor but if you don't have others in the church it cannot function like it was meant to - God has called us into a personal intimate relationship with Himself and with others -just as Jesus gave His life for ours - We as the Body are called to do the same thing -we are to give our lives to others in the body and as the body we are to go out and bring the lost into the Body - Christ does the work but He has called us to bring the lost in!
We are all a part of the body -you may feel insignificant - but none the less you are important - there are talents we have been blessed with -and God is calling us out to do His work - Ive been called to join a newly formed Choir at my church -God wants to use me but its scary to be in front of so many people - but my sister reminded me I am singing to Christ! In this way I am part of the body - some are called to preach -some to teach -some to sing and all to love- We are all a part of the body of CHRIST - and in this we all have our place- God has made it this way so that everything can get done according to His will - lets remember we do need each other - God made us part of the body not to sit on the sidelines - but to be in the game!
Lets live for JESUS and thus fulfill our role in the Body of Christ!

A SIDE NOTE:
When one part of the body is suffering -we all suffer - the same is true of the Body of Christ- we are all in this together -none of us have arrived yet -and God wants us to be joined together forever in HIM!
The Body is where we belong!

E Q U A L I T Y for A L L
Martin Luther King Jr Day

PSALM 133:1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Today we celebrate a man that was called to bring unity - Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. was a man who had a dream that everyone would be unified - we have come a long way since he has gone home - but there are still areas where unity is not a reality - race relations while much better and not where God would have them be - the simple premise of Dr King was that God created all men equally - we are all created in the image of God and in this we should love HIM with our whole heart and love others as we do ourselves - we have to admit that we all have had thoughts that are less then loving for our neighbors -often we have been taught to judge others who are not like ourselves -one thing that I want to keep in the front of my mind is that Christ died for everyone!
He did not limit to nationality - to skin color - to political views -to job position - He did not limit to the rich or to the poor- everyone comes under HIS blood for salvation -Dr King called for unity among all of us - he longed to see the day when all would hold hands - no matter what those outside labels where -and if you think about we as the church must be unified - God has commanded this - the world should know we belong to HIM by our love- We have never been called to judge someone -but to love them -God will judge them - we must love each person the same and through this bring many to the saving grace of God - we cannot do it apart from God -
Lets be unified - the dream of Dr King is still coming true -
We have come a long way and yet there is so much further we must go - lets love each other - we share this space - and God has given all of us HIS grace! Praise HIM and be unified today!

EQUAILTY FOR ALL
is what we need to have
Every life is worth so much
God created everyone-
lets love each other
and look beyond the wrapping paper
and see the real gift God has given us inside!
JESUS DIED FOR ALL
and ALL COME TO GOD the same way!

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 5- We belong to HIM!

1st Corinthians 6:19&20
Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For you where brought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's!

We do not belong to anyone but JESUS - sometimes we feel we belong to our friends - our spouses - our parents - but truth be know we actually belong to God - for HE brought us with a price- HIS Son paid that price and besides that -He also created us - We have our purpose in and from God Himself -we belong to HIM - and our lives also do not belong to us - they are HIS - once we come into the saving relationship - we are no longer our own - now this does not mean we lose our personality or our free will -these are gifts given to us by God - its good to know we belong to HIM - for there is no better owner in all the universe then God - He know us because He made us - He made everything - I read something today that really brought this to life- those who deny there is even a God - will have to answer this augment - if there is no God - then how did the universe come to be? If it came to be by itself -then this is impossible -because if that is the case - there had to be nothing and then something - and that does not work -There is a God and we belong to HIM -rejoice in this simple but powerful message- He brought us with the blood of HIS only SON - He paid dearly to save our souls - Lets love God with our whole heart -and remember we are Kingdom Kids - we belong to GOD! HIS ownership of us is good news! Amen!

Since GOD owns us and brought us with a price - our lives should be lives for HIM - Lets live our life of pure worship for God 24-7-365!
He owns us - Praise HIM for this turth today!

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 4- We are united with HIM

1st Corinthians 6:17
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit!

So far its been established that who we are in CHRIST is far more important than what anyone says about us -not only are we united with CHRIST but with other believers - we who call JESUS LORD are apart of HIS Family -we have been adopted into it - when we are joined with CHRIST -those who are also joined with HIM are our brothers and sisters- we form a unit -the Church is our name -we may be from different backgrounds and nationalities - but being joined in CHRIST trumps all that - We have a united front in others who trust CHRIST as they Savior - because of CHRIST we are now joined with others who are also HIS - sometimes we may have no idea that those we know are actually our brothers - and being a brother or sister in CHRIST is what the CHURCH is all about -we must stand together as one -because we are one - both joined with CHRIST and with each other - we have this in CHRIST -without HIM there would be no bond and we would all be on our own- God established the church with this in mind -He created us to be social animals -we cannot make it on our own -some may think they can - but if you are apart of CHRIST you are a part of the church -the two go hand and hand - enjoy the unity we have in CHRIST today and always - Your Brother in CHRIST -

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 3- We have been justified!

ROMANS 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. . .

The most amazing thing about the grace of God is that actually see us now as the righteousness of His Son - He can no longer see our past sins that kept us away from His presence- we have been justified by our faith in the finished work of JESUS CHRIST on the CROSS! We have a right standing with God now - the sins that cost JESUS so much have now been cast as far as the East is from the West- and our sin of the past has been cast deeper then the deepest sea -its far away -gone from God's view -when He looks at the redeemed of the LORD - He only sees HIS SON - without this we have no hope and our relationship with God would have ended at the fall - and we would live hopeless lives - but praise be to GOD that HE sent JESUS to pay the price - He took our sins upon HIMSELF and bled and died for us - The good news is that our sin is gone - this does not mean we have a free ticket to do as we please - when you come in contact with God's love you will want to obey HIM - you will want to Honor HIM - your life will begin to reflect HIS glory - just like the moon does not have its on light but its simply a reflection of the Sun - we too are the same way - our lives reflect the Son- we are justified for good works -Our sin kept us away from GOD But the blood of the LAMB brought us back! We are justified in CHRIST and HIM alone -there is no where else in all the world for us to turn -no other source offers true complete forgiveness but our FATHER GOD!
Thanks be to GOD for CHRIST JESUS our LORD!

A SIDE NOTE:
The door that was slammed shut by sin has been opened by JESUS - He has justified us with GOD - we are now able to go to GOD at all times-
HE is there for us because JESUS died for us - Justification is a beautiful word- lets live lives of thankfulness for GOD'S grace!

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 2- We are HIS friend. . .

JOHN 15:15
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant does not know what his lord is doing; but I have called you friends;
for all things that I have heard of My Father
I have made known to you!


When the fall of man occurred -we lost that intimate relationship with God that Adam and Eve once had -it was gone - and we became enemies of God - this was not the original purpose of our lives- once before sin entered the picture - Man and God were friends -but then sin came and God had to walk away - He could no longer be that close to HIS children and it broke HIS heart - we all know what God did next- He brought us back to HIMSELF through HIS SON - and now we have become His friends again - its not by our merit - but by HIS grace- He has opened back up the line of communication man once had with Himself -we have an open line today if we trust HIM as our LORD and SAVIOR - we are now the friends of God -today's verse gives the example of a servant and his master- a servant only works for his master and does not know or get into his affairs -but a friend is in the midst of his affairs -a friend comes into our enter circle - God has opened up HIS friendship with us - the most amazing aspect of this is the fact that we still fall short and yes we still sin - but God remains faithful to us - He remains steadfast in HIS desire to see everyone come to Him - God has brought us back to HIMSELF - celebrate this today!
Praise GOD!

A SIDE NOTE:
JESUS has brought us back to HIS FATHER - and the friendship has been restored - we can know GOD through the Son - and our lives will be forever changed -trust in the SON to know the FATHER!

BEFORE CHRIST WE WERE AMONG THE ENEMIES OF GOD

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 1- We Are Accepted:

JOHN 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them gave He
power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on His name!

Today I begin a new series on who we are in Christ -I am not sure how long this will take - but there are many points I need to make about this subject- its important to know who JESUS says we are - for what He says is all that matters- many in this life will call you many things- but just because people say it does not make it true-lets find out together just who HE says we are!

When we receive Jesus into our lives by faith -He receives us - He takes possession of us -once before the fall of man we belonged to Him but the fall took us away from that intimate relationship man had with God - this was all taken away with one bite of the forbidden fruit - God saw our choice long before we ever made it and HIS heart ached -He had a plan from the beginning - He would send HIS SON to this world to die for our sins and anyone who accepts HIM as SAVIOR will be saved- this is who we are in CHRIST - we are now HIS children once we surrender our lives to HIS LORDSHIP - once this takes placed our lives are changed our a destiny changed -we are brought into a right relationship with GOD through JESUS the SON - We are now accepted as Righteous in CHRIST -its not our righteousness but HIS - HE has given it to us - HE has claimed us as HIS own - we now belong to HIM - He purchased us a very high price- The Death of HIS only Begotten SON!
Lets celebrate our acceptance that comes from CHRIST today and forever more -we now belong to HIM forever! amen!

A SIDE NOTE:
When it comes right down to it -God knew what He was purchasing with HIS SON - you and me - HE loves us with an unending love -We are now HIS children and He has us in HIS mighty hands! Be secure in this!

GOD SENT HIS SON TO BRING US BACK TO HIMSELF

Adopted

Galatians 4:4&5
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons!

One problem many of us have with the WORD is sometimes we feel its not talking to us - case in point- we are all the Bride of Christ rather male or female and in today's verse when it talks about the adoption of sons - it means both male and female - the WORD is speaking to all of us - I just wanted to say that since many may be wondering why the word daughter is no where to be found - God makes its simple for us!

The good news we all have in CHRIST Is that we have now been adopted into HIS family - this adoption unlike those of this world is in fact made in blood - the blood of the Lamb - we are now HIS children- many people thing simply being born into this world makes us a child of God - while in one case this is true- God made us so we are His - but in all actuality if you are not HIS then how can you be HIS child? We must not only be born into this world- but must also be reborn into Christ- for this adoption to take place we must place our trust in the completed work of Christ- we are no longer slaves to sin but now have been set free from the bondage of sin for a new life in CHRIST - we have been adopted and unlike those adopted in this world -we are as good as real children - He made us and then HE saved us - all for HIM and all by HIM-
We have the assurance of Heaven -no matter what happens on this side -Heaven still awaits - if you have placed your trust in JESUS then you can celebrate your adoption - if not then you are lost and without hope and you have not been adopted into God's family- you will face an eternity away from God - Jesus came to earth to save you -won't you trust HIM today? HE adopted you -the papers have been signed - all you have to do is trust Him - admit you're a sinner and trust in HIM to save you - We all can be adopted this very day - JESUS is the only way-
Praise GOD for this awesome adoption that makes us right with HIM!

A SIDE NOTE:
We are either GOD'S children or we are not -you have to choose who you will serve - yourself or God! The papers have been signed by the Blood of the Lamb - come to know JESUS today and be adopted into HIS family -forever!

What Will Worrying Do?

MATTHEW 6:27
Which of you by taking thought(worrying)
can add one cubit to his stature?

In my life worry has been a constant companion -ive learned to worry from a very early age- my upbringing was not very smooth at all and many things went wrong - all of which brought me to JESUS so I am thankful even if it was so tough growing up - ive learned to worry with the best of them - I worry about this and that - and its not how I want to live -it seems the harder I try not to worry - the more I do - this is a battle that ive been in for some time - the good news is JESUS has already purchased for us eternal life -HE has our lives covered -we never really need to worry ever again -Jesus says in today's verse that worrying will never bring good results -worry is nothing more then a lack of faith - this has been hard for me to swallow - but its so true - when God makes us a promise He will bring it to pass - the main problem we have is in the timing -we want what we want now - we want a solution now -we want to see the end result now -but often with God He will only show us what HE wants us to see - nothing more and nothing less - He wants us in a place were all we can do is believe Him - as ive said in the first couple of days this year- there would be pain -and struggles this year -but at the same time there will be victory if we just trust JESUS - this victory will not always be on this side of things - I do not believe in the health and wealth gospel - yes God can and will bless you - but its not because we have done anything to deserve it -sure God will reward us if we are faithful -but that should not be our only motivation to serve the Lord -because there will be hard times - and these times are not always just because we lack faith but because God wants us to learn something!

Are you in the habit of worrying - well then trust JESUS - its that simple - with faith in God our worry should begin to lessen - the more we trust Him the less our worry will be - the question is do you know HIM?
Answer this question today and then begin a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ -HE is calling you -lets not worry any more!

A SIDE NOTE:
Its easy to say not to worry -but if we really believe God and His promises - we would not worry at all - but do we really believe Him?

Man Of Sorrows

ISAIAH 53:3
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised and we esteemed Him not.

The pain by which Jesus saved us was intense - not just in a physical standpoint - He had to be left all alone - for the first time in all of History God had to turn His back on His Son - Jesus went through all this for us!

This year is barely 3 days old and already there has been tragedies - there has been pain and anguish - we live in an uncertain world - but we can be certain that God is still commands it all from His throne- We are not alone in this Universe -God is real and He has give us His Son to make a way back to Himself - Jesus has been called a Man of Sorrows and this is what HE was for us- for Him to leave heaven to become a man of all things -was as low as He could go to save us - He was born in a stable in a small town- surely it seemed this was just an ordinary man from an ordinary place- but this was not the case- JESUS was both man and God at the same time -He was able to experience pain -He walked in a body so we could see Him - He became flesh- and this was the beginning of His sorrows- in the end He died on a cross for you and me - He endured this pain in order that we may know God in a personal way and one day spend eternity with Him-

In this world there is gonna be trails and sorrows -there will be real pain - if you hear someone say that you can live a pain free life -run the other way- there is no such thing - this is a fallen world lest we forget -and we all are open to disaster at any time - many times we have this no me attitude - we get to the point of believing nothing bad will ever happen - the truth is this world is a tough place with many lost people looking for the purpose of life -many chose drugs or sex to fill their emptiness - some thing possessions will bring them peace or more money -some have bought into this lie that is from satan himself -we must remember that JESUS was a man of sorrows for you and me -HE died for you - won't you place your trust in Him today?
This man of sorrows wants you so much He was willing to die to get you! This is the GOD we worship, JESUS the CHRIST!

A SIDE NOTE:
The pain JESUS endured was to set us free from sin - sin has had the human race bound since the fall in the garden - but JESUS and His sacrificial death brought us back to God the Father and took the bondage of sin away forever! Praise God!

In Remembrance

Ecclesiastes 3:4
. . . a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance!

The Word for today says that there is a time for everything -it begins saying that God is completely in control - He has not once left His throne -He has always and always will be in that position! These verses in Ecclasiastes paint a picture of the world in which we live- one fact of life is that there will be death - we will leave these bodies - its only a matter of time - listen to the radio news or watch TV- or read the newspaper and you will see just how much death is a part of life- many loved ones have gone on home before us - we will be joining them very soon -time flies on by - I look back 20 years ago and cannot believe where the time has gone - then I look forward 20 years and realize it is not that far way -

Today is the National Day of Mourning for former President Ford - if he knew the LORD then its actually a day of rejoicing for him and his faith in God-
I say if here because I did not know him personally - only God knows for sure the state of his heart before he left this world- Please pray for his family that has been left behind - today post offices and all federal offices will be closed in his honor- The WORD says there is a time to weep and morn - to morn is not to lack faith -but its to feel the pain of those who suffered the loss - all this brings back to me all those who went home last year - from my friend's son -to my dear grandfather - its been a hard year- but I bet no harder then those before or those afterward - since we know we are going home someday -we need to live today - we need to remember that once today is gone -its gone forever -we must live it all for the Lord our God - We must live lives that are marked with the words - In Remembrance- for all we do should be done while we remember JESUS who suffered and died for us - but the good is rose again!
IN REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US

A SIDE NOTE:
One day we will all have to face death in one way or another -while its still called today -we need to get our lives in order -starting with our faith -we must have saving faith that is in JESUS and HIM alone-
Do you have that faith today? Today could be your last day -
its time to set it right with God - trust in JESUS today and forever more!

Behold the former things have come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them!

Welcome to the fresh new year of 2007 - this year is just hours old and we all look forward to what this year has in store for us - God is speaking to us today and as always HE tells of great things to come - it today's verse God is telling that the old things are now gone - 2006 is gone - we cannot ever again live those days - those days are forever gone - all we can do is move forward - but lets not forget this day - we should take 2007 one day at a time -there will be blessings this year but at the same time there will be trying times - there will be days when we cannot see the reason for what is happening - but God as always will be on the throne - HE alone is our Father - He will allow us blessings and times of testing - but in the end all of it will be for HIS purpose- We are not our own and neither is this year- it all belongs to God - He made it all - and He has plans for you this year - this day - lets take the time this year to get alone with God and just listen - I heard a verse today -it talks about our strength being renewed when we wait on the Lord -that is the simple message I bring to you today - lets wait on the LORD - He and He lone know the right direction - He alone is our beacon in a world of darkness -
Lets go and fill our calendar with great things- for the pages are blank -and soon we will return to work and school and things will go back to normal -and while we put up the CHRISTmas directions - lets not put Christ away but lets allow HIM to stay at the verse surface of our lives so He can go even deeper into our hearts this year- 2006 was year that had both blessings and trials and 2007 will be the same in that regard - but today -we have a new year that stretches before us -and this is just one more year closer to our Savior's return - lets wait on the LORD this year - Happy New Year
