Ecclesiastes 9.17
The words of wise men are heard in quiet more then the cry of him that rules among fools.

The world in which we live in is not all there is - keep that in mind as this devo continues - the world is upside down - what is good has been called bad and what is bad has been called good - in this world -we must have our barrings in God or else we will fall to anything that comes to us - Many want a vibrant - charismatic leader that speaks to the itching ears - one who is very flamboyant - one that can draw a large crowd - but God uses the quiet -the marginalized -those that the world ignores - God uses - He will always confound the wise with the humble - those who work behind the scenes are just as important as those in the limelight - God says it in today's verse- that God will use the humble - the quiet -those who don't brag about what they can do - God uses the wise man who is quiet and speaks the truth - over someone with a long list of accomplishments - God will use those the world calls foolish to show the truth to a world that is lost and dying - we must have God's wisdom to live the life in the here and now - this world is passing by - none of us will be here for long - now is the time to ask for wisdom - our nation is going through much right now - but many are focused only on the economy and not the spiritual condition of it's leaders - many can say many wonderful things - many can in their own power say they will fix it all - but it takes a real humble man to say that only GOD can do it - so what do you think? We must have wisdom to know how to love those around us - let's ask for GOD'S wisdom so we will be wise!
Not wise in the world's opinion but wise in the grace of God!
Amen!

Ecclesiastes 9.16
Then I said that wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised and his words are not heard

The book of Ecclestiastes has talked about wisdom for some time now - today's verse says that even strength is not as good as wisdom - what good is strength if its is not used in the matter that's best -that is where wisdom comes from - now this will surprise you - but sometimes wisdom comes from the strangest of places - I have been called to work with kids -and I have to tell you often they have wisdom that we would not even consider - most of us if we were honest would not really take advise from someone younger then you -
That is nothing more then pride! We are all guilty of this! Wisdom is what is needed before doing anything for God - without HIS wisdom -we are helpless and going astray - but in HIS wisdom - we have much power -when we follow HIM He will never lead us astray! Today's verse talks of a poor man that no one will listen to you -and yet its this man that has wisdom - its so sad that many times those with the wisdom we need we just cast off as not having anything for us -we must consider everyone - God does not speak through just us - but HE speaks through many! Just take a moment to listen to wisdom -
without it we are hopeless to repeat the mistakes of the past - wisdom says that there is a GOD and that HE loves us - let's walk in wisdom today -
The fool says in his heart there is no God! Don't be a fool - get wisdom!

Ecclesiastes 9.11
I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches of men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all.

Today's verse was the title track by a group from the 1990's called Color Me Badd - this album was not a commercial success but it put this verse in my heart - God has always used song to speak to me - and I heard this verse before I even came to know Christ - but I no doubt God used this in the process to bring me to HIM! But what does this verse mean? Wow - this is a tough one to find real meaning in - but maybe I can with GOD's help!
To me this verse says that being physically strong does not mean you will win the battle or having much money will mean you will never have money problems - the point to me is this life and all the physical things are passing away day by day - but time and chance happens to us all - I do understand how time is the same for all of us -we all get 24 hours a day - and 7 days a week - but then again tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone - the chance part I have more trouble with - because I believe GOD Is in full control - and what may seem like chance is not at all - but God allowing such and such to happen - He is in total control or else HE could not be God -but perhaps it just means that we have no idea what's coming -and it seems like all time and chance - but if we dig deeper -we can see God's hand - believe me this gets tough - but that does mean its not true - this series is about bringing meaning to our lives - and the only way this happens is through a relationship with Jesus Christ!
Remember the battle is not ours to win but it belongs to God -
we cannot obtain it on our own - we all need God to make it through!

BUILDING MOMENT: Take a chance on the time you have left!
Because we have CHRIST - we have hope - that's enough!

2.23.09 - Building on the WORD
IF WE HOPE IN GOD - THERE IS NOTHING ELSE WE NEED

part 30

Ecclesiastes 9.10
Whatsoever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might: for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom in the grave, where you will go.

Most of the times today's verse is quoted -the last part is left off - many can agree with doing their best with whatever is given them - some call this making lemonade when you only have lemons in your life - another words - God gives all of us talents and He wants to use us - remember however He does not need us - HE does not need anyone - but chooses to use us His children.
As we go further in this verse - the point is that we will all die - we will leave this place -we have a limited time to leave our mark on this world - we pass through it so quickly - and once this short life is over -we cannot relive it - today is the day we must live -we cannot live in yesterday for it's gone - we cannot live in tomorrow for it's not yet here- we must live today - Jesus said we must work while it is light - this is the time before He returns that He wants us to spread the good news across the globe - while this is a scary time in many ways - we have confidence in Christ that HE will come at just the right time - we have hope to carry on - we have rights as the children of the King to do His work here on earth - much time is wasted this side of heaven -we must be serious about our Father's business - we must go when called - we must do as we are told and in the end honor our Lord and Savior!
This life is short - live it for JESUS!

WHEN YOU WORK FOR GOD IT HELPS TO KNOW THE BOSS!

Quietly Wait

Lamentations 3:26
It is good that a man should both hope
and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

I know today's verse talks of salvation but in addition to that - we should also wait on the LORD at other times- I love what this verse says about quietly waiting - many of us - me included - are willing to wait - but no so willing to be quiet - I admit I can complain very easliy - its not difficult for me - and that's such a shame - for God has blessed all us so much we should not ever complain - but the human nature all of us has - demands to be in control - and it wants things the way it wants them - we all have bouts of complaining - but as people of God it should be less and less - we must quietly wait on the Lord - I know of several people that have had a very hard time with their lives - many have broken relationships - and this causes broken hearts - many are struggling with money issues - there never seems to be enough money - others may be dealing with a physical condition or the Drs have given them very bad news - in each case those involved must wait on the Lord - waiting is not easy - often we get impatient and long for an answer for our sufferings -we want to know why us - why do we have to suffer! God allows us to suffer so that we can be purified in the fire of the trial - He has big plans and none of the trials we will ever face will be in vain - God will use everything to bring us to place He wants us to be - so let's make it a point to wait on the LORD and when we do -lets do it quietly! Amen!

BUILDING MOMENT: WAITING IS NEVER EASY - BUT WAITING ON GOD HAS GREAT REWARDS!

Because we have CHRIST - we can wait!

Finders Keepers

Matthew 10.39
He that finds his life shall lose it:
and he that loses his life for My sake shall find it!

I have heard it said that this world is opposite of what heaven will be like!
I have heard it said that things are backwards down here - those who refuse to follow Christ seem to enjoy their sin filled lives - and many who have been redeemed seemed to be miserable - but that's not the truth - this is simply a lie of the enemy - the enemy of our souls wants sin to be attractive to us - we are programed by this world to do what feels good - but in CHRIST we should see things differently - the world says keep what you have and get more - Christ says give it all away to gain what cannot be destroyed! The world says try out as many potential mates as you can and then just live together and get married when its convenient - Christ says to remain with one mate for a lifetime -this world is backwards - Jesus says if we want to find our lives - we must lose then for Him! Jesus goes on to say those who have found their life in the here and now - will end up losing it - when we surrender our lives to Christ He keeps us - its finders keepers - once God takes over our lives- things change- the way things where before this are gone - we cannot walk in the way we did before Christ now - if we gain the whole world in the here and now and lose our soul -we have gained nothing! Are you losing your life for the sake of Christ? Or are you just sitting back and taking a break and sitting on the sidelines? We must be about our Father's business -the time is short -and the mission difficult - but the help we have in CHRIST is limitless! Find your life in CHRIST and not in this world - the world is passing away - but CHRIST remains! Amen!

GIVE GOD YOUR LIFE - AND HE WILL GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE!

THE CLOUD

Ezekiel 43.1-2
...Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looks toward the East: and behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the East: and HIS voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with HIS glory!

This year I have been studying about Moses and the Israelites - and their travels to the promise land - I am learning about the visible presence of God in the form of a cloud - this was no ordinary cloud - but it was in fact God's presence - today we no longer have need of such a cloud - for God's Spirit now resides in us - His glory is now in us! Its not from us - but all from Him - once we came to know HIM - HE began to dwell in our hearts by faith -
what does His glory look like? To me the love of Christ that resounds in our hearts that brings Glory to God is how we see this now! In today's verse the presence of God is heard like the rustling of leaves or of a great waters - God has been speaking to me in the Word - water has come up again today - God wants to flow in our lives with HIS grace -the problem is - we sometimes hide God's glory in us - for whatever reason we hold back - we don't allow God to fully reign in us - we need to let go and allow GOD to have it all - we are to be living sacrifices holy and acceptable to God - He is the One who makes us holy and acceptable in HIS sight! Its through the blood of JESUS that we can visibly see the Glory of God - for this was done for HIS glory!
Allow the streams of GOD to enter your life today - lets wade out into the deepness of His love and of His grace -lets wade beside the still waters of God - God's glory is to be seen in the life of those who follow Christ -if not - maybe its time to walk back along the path to our first love! JESUS came for us!

BUILDING MOMENT: The Glory that God has revealed to us is to be shared with those around us!

Because we have CHRIST - HIS Light should shine in our lives!

LAMENT

Lamentations 1.1
How does the city sit solitary, that was full of people! How is she become as a widow! She that was great among the nations, and a princess among the providence's, how she has become a tributary!

God really got a hold of me tonight! I had an awesome time of worship and I then opened God's Word and the Word of God did indeed speak to me - I feel the pull of God like never before - He has a message and I feel He wants to say something important - however as I write these words I am not sure exactly what He wants to say - I keep hearing the word Lament! To me this might mean we should have a more broken heart for the lost - the lonely - the marginalized - perhaps God has a message to say to each of us tonight -
In today's verse we have a city that was once thriving - once in perfect tune with God - once filled with people - once focused on what God wanted -but something happened along the way - this can be said about a many of lives - once that life brought glory to God - once that life was focused on God - but somewhere along the way -the wrong path was taken - a little compromise here and there and before they knew it - a life of desolation - a life of lament - many don't know how they got there - but the path is not as important as the one who is reaching HIS hand back to them - God wants to see them back with Him - He thought so much about this HE sent JESUS to die! Maybe your life was once flowing with God's mighty river - but now you are just a tributary - you once had a waterfall that was loud and brought glory to God but now you are little more then a stream that is clogged with the worries of this world-
Today you can once again be a raging river for God -today you can once again bring God glory with your life - yesterday is gone and your sin is gone - all you have to lose is control! God wants to pick you up today - He wants to flow through your life - He wants to navigate you through the rapids of this life - He wants to place you in the calming water of HIS grace - HE wants to show you that your life can once again be flowing - if this is speaking to you - please respond to God - God has a plan in what was written - I have no idea if it even makes any sense- God I feel has opened the floodgates of heaven -won't you wade out into HIS water!
Won't you let HIM save you with HIS grace - become a river for GOD!
What was once desolate is now teeming with life! There is life at the river!

BUILDING MOMENT: We need GOD to unclog our lives!

LOVE: The Greatest - PART 6

1st Corinthians 13:13
And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love!

Happy Valentine's Day - by many today is the day that is all about love - but I want to say right here its not only romantic love -there is a love that is greater then that of man and wife , girlfriend and boyfriend - there is Agape love - this is love we share as children of God! In our lives if we look around we will see many who love us in this brief life -and each person that loves us and we love back is a blessing - to end the love series I choose to use the book & chapter that is called the Love chapter - God says that love is greater then anything else- it was Love that motivates us to obey and follow God - it motivates us to show what's on the inside to those outside! We can give all we have to the poor - we can even attend church every time the doors are open and we can try and obey - but if we do anything apart from Love -we are wasting our time - we have to live lives of love - God sent JESUS - the lover of our souls - to this hostile planet to show what HIS Love is all about - for GOD loves this world so much that HE sent JESUS to the cross and HE willingly went!
If you don't have anyone to love today - just look around - there are many in need - why not spend this day helping others? In this way you will show the love of Christ to someone who may not know Him -
lets not just be some sounding brass - but let's actually do something - lets show the world around us the Love of God!
Loving like JESUS is contagious!

LOVE: Love One Another - PART 5

John 15:12-13
This is My commandment that you love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man then this, that a man lay down his life for his friends!

Jesus left this command behind - He said He wants us to love each other just like He loved us - this I feel will step on many toes and at times that is just what we needed - there is much fighting between churches and in churches - if we would just love others like JESUS loves us - there would be less problems and more faith! Jesus loves us with a love that we cannot comprehend or understand - His love is so great that JESUS came to die in our place-
God has provided us a Savior to take our stain garments of sin and give us new clothes of righteousness - All HE asks of us is simply obey - HE wants us to love each other - sadly there are clicks in the church that if you are not part of a certain group - don't even think of entering -this is not how is should be - we are all brothers and sisters in Christ and what may separate us is less then what should bind us - so long as JESUS is the Savior in their Church -they are our brothers and our sisters in Christ - we must always keep the main thing the main thing - Jesus was all about love -HE had compassion on those who were sick - sinful and rejected - HE lead by example - what do people say about your love? Do you love the least of these like JESUS did? Are you willing to forget and forgive someone who has wronged you? Believe it or not the world is watching us to see if our faith is really real! Let's follow our LORD - lets love those around us - God has people in need around us every day - let's love like the FATHER loves us! Let's put away our agendas and allow GOD to use us!Then we will be about love - one more thing - Jesus said that there is no greater love then for someone to die for their friends - JESUS now calls us friends - thanks be to God! Jesus gave us all the examples we need! Let's follow and obey -there really is no other way!

we have endless love flowing through our lives!

LOVE: The LOVE of CHRIST - PART 4

Ephesians 3.17-18
... I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and how long and how high and how deep is the love of CHRIST!

There is nothing greater then the love Christ has for us - Jesus paid the price in full - He went to the cross to save us all - He lived this life but without any sin- there are sadly many these days who think this is impossible and that its some fairy tale - well that so called fairy tale has changed my life and countless others - there is power in trusting your life to Christ - its not our power mind you - its from God alone - we cannot live the Christian life apart from Christ and we were not designed to in the first place- what motives us? We should always be about love at all times- this means we must forgive those who have wronged us - we must love those Christ puts in our path and we must be willing to take up our cross and follow JESUS wherever He goes - There is a man who is in the prayer group at work that has talked about seeing JESUS in his dream and wanting Him to turn around so he could see Him - however Jesus simply says to follow - and continues on the path of life -that is the kind of faith we need -
A faith that followers after Christ no matter what - a life that is all about love - for it was love that made and caused JESUS to be willing to lay down His life for us - is your life about love? Why not love someone new today? There are people in need all around us - it can be a simple as a smile or as hard to donating your time - there are those who need to hear about CHRIST today -
why not let GOD use you - why not live a life of love!FOR GOD LOVES US ALL! Amen!

LOVE: Stay in HIS love - PART 3

JUDE 1:21
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Today's verse from the Book of Jude says that we are to stay in the love of God - what does that mean? We must remain who we are in CHRIST at all times and in all places - we must conduct ourselves with an attitude of love -we must be about love - we must love GOD first and foremost with our lives -we must give Him our praise - our devotion - our everything! Staying in the Love of God means you are ever reminded of what JESUS did for you - you also live a life that brings God glory - We must remind in HIM so HE will remain in us - notice its not our actions - its nothing we have done -its all about what JESUS already has done for us- we just need to believe HIM and take HIM at HIS word! Being in the love of Christ to me means that all we do in this brief life is done with Christ in full focus - His love is in us now - we are called in the book of James to be doers of the Word - not just hearers - not just speakers -but doers - God wants us to help others - HE wants us to give of ourselves - HE wants us to serve one another -He wants the love that is inside of us - to spread out and around us like wildfire! Lets remind in the love of GOD and then our lives will be a reflection of HIS glory! Shine for JESUS!

LOVE: GOD LOVED US FIRST - PART 2

1st John 4:19
We love HIM because He first loved us!

God loved us first - He loved us before our birth on this Earth - He loved us in the beginning before anything ever was - God knew us in our Mother's womb - He knit us together and made us who we are - He sent JESUS while we were still in our sins - He sent JESUS before we even had the chance to sin - He paid the price for us in full - Before we were even here! Blessed be the name of the LORD! God always goes before us - He always loves us with the love of a Father - He said He would never leave us - ever - God is love - God sent HIS Son in the form of a man - a man who lived without sin - a man who laid His very life down - He paid the price we could never pay - He loved us before we could love HIM - before we even knew HIM - He loved us - He loves us so much - He is not willing for any to parish without first knowing His great love for His creation - He made us - He longs for a relationship with each of us - love is about relationship - not religion - its about a personal relationship with JESUS - its about surrendering your will for HIS will - that is in essence what Love is all about - Do you love God? Remember HE loved you first!

BUILDING MOMENT: THE LOVE OF GOD SHOULD COMPEL US TO LOVE OTHERS IN HIS NAME!

GOD LOVES US - DO WE LOVE HIM?

LOVE: GOD'S LOVE FOR US - PART 1

John 3:16
For GOD so loved the world He gave His only
begotten Son that whosoever shall believe in HIM
shall not parish but have eternal life!

The love God has for us in unfathomable - we simply cannot grasp it!
This week I want to highlight love through God's Word! I want to show you that GOD does in fact love us - He is very fond of us! He loves us so much He was willing to give us His very best- HIS SON JESUS!

God so loved the world -that HE gave....
What did GOD give?
Why HE gave us HIS only SON
HE allowed HIS SON to die in our place
HE loved us so much - He was not willing to let us
He was not willing to leave us lost - but sent JESUS to the cross!
JESUS obeyed completely the request of the Father - and laid down HIS love for us - in the same manner we as HIS children must be willing to lay down our lives for others - this is the type of love GOD has for us!
HE is unwilling that any should parish - so HE made a way for us to come back to HIM - Through JESUS we have forgiveness of our sins - we also have community with CHRIST and others in the body! We have so much love within us because of what JESUS did! HE was willing to die so we could live!
The reason GOD did this? Because HE loves us! It's that simple - and its that love that compelled JESUS to die in our place-
If you want to think about love -think about JESUS!After all the WORD says that GOD IS LOVE! AMEN!
It is seen in no greater way then JESUS and HIS sacrificial death!Praise GOD for HIS great love for us!REJOICE! Praise HIS NAME! amen!
Let's love like JESUS!
BUILDING MOMENT: God's love is shown in JESUS - and since HE now lives in us - HIS light should glow in our lives!

Because we have CHRIST - we can know real Love!

2.9.09 - Building on the WORD
THE LOVE OF GOD - THERE IS NOTHING ELSE LIKE IT!

What are we saying?

Proverbs 10.21
The lips of the righteous feed many:
but fools die for lack of wisdom.

Jesus said its not what goes into a man that makes him unclean - but what comes out - What we say means more then we think - as a child I remember the childhood song that would always be sung to someone who wanted to hurt us by calling us names - Sticks and stones will always hurt me but words never will - I hate to ruin this for everyone, but if you have lived any time at all on this Earth you know that words can in fact hurt us - just keep saying negatives things to those around you and wait and see -they will come back just as negative as you were - say bad things to your children and they will begin to believe it - what we say does matter - We should speak the truth but always in love -today's verse reminds us that the lips of the righteous will feed many - but those who are not righteous - will lack so much for wisdom - they will starve -
what we say does matter - what we say to ourselves and what we say about ourselves will effect us a lot - if we always put ourselves down - how will be able to love those around us - we first must love our selves and be kind to ourselves - sadly we are often our worst critic - we must be willing to say the words of life to those around us - many need a kind word - remember our words can either build up and tear down - lets always build others up!
Lets build our lives on the WORD of GOD!
What we say does matter! Amen!

BUILDING MOMENT: IF WE WATCH WHAT WE SAY - WE WON'T HURT ANYONE! Amen!

Because we have CHRIST - our tongue will be used for HIS glory!

SPEAK THE WORDS OF LIFE AND YOU WILL BRING LIFE TO OTHERS!

part 29

Ecclesiastes 9.1
For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works,
are in the hand of GOD: no man knows either love or
hatred by all that is before them.

To know GOD is to know love - GOD is love the Word says! God is love in the fact He sent HIS one and only SON to die on the cross for our sins- He is love in the fact that HE offers us unmerited grace - He is love because He made us and all that you see -GOD is good - on that all of us can agree - but what about the flip side? If GOD is love -that means there must be hatred - if GOD Is love that means evil exists in this world as we know it - I don't know what I am about to type has to do with today's devotional - but on my way to church last night for a Voice of Martyrs service - this thought hit me - the fact is that this time in history GOD has ordained that we would be in the flesh and that we will not inhabit these bodies for long and that our life in the here now is very brief -
one day we will no longer be in this sinful and evil world - where the good seem to suffer and the evil seem to rejoice - but we know the truth and HIS name is JESUS CHRIST! Our lives are in HIS hands - HE is our protector - we are not going anywhere until He says its time!

All the good that we do in the here and now is not our doing - if we have a relationship with CHRIST - then it is HE that is living it out through us - He alone gets the praise and the credit - if we live life this way - there is no more jealousy - for if all of us would do as GOD commands us - there would be less conflict - at least in the here and now - but spiritual speaking - the more we do for Christ the more the enemy will attack us - but so be it - we have blessing to come - when we leave this place -we are with GOD - what is left to fear?
God is with us and if HE is for us - who can be against us?
Rejoice for CHRIST is for us! Amen!

BUILDING MOMENT: THE GOOD WE DO IS REALLY CHRIST DOING IN THROUGH US - THIS WILL KEEP US FROM HAVING PRIDE!

Ecclesiastes 8.17
Then I beheld all the work of GOD, that a man cannot find out the work done under the sun: because though a man labor to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yeah farther; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it!

We are all looking for purpose to our lives- we all want a reason for living - for those who follow CHRIST - HE alone is our reason for living -for apart from HIM there is no life - many labor in this life to find true happiness, many think wealth of the hear and now will bring them all the happiness they will ever need - to many money is another god - and the WORD says plainly we cannot serve both God and money - we must put God in the first position of our lives - or else other things will slip in without our knowledge - God has a plan for each of our lives and when we seek after HIM we shall find it - but if we only seek after what we want - if we do only what we want - then we will miss many blessings that God wants to give us - HE made all of us with a mission to have in this life - sadly many walk away from the call and live their lives apart from God - this is such a sad thing and it grieves God to know that many have turned their backs on Him - many feel if they just had more money- a bigger house - a new car - our that much sought after raise -true happiness would follow - but what I have found in my own life -the richest blessings are free - a smile from a child you are helping - a thank you note from someone you have helped along the way - money is worthless when we come right down to it - many feel that money is more important than anything else - if we make money our god - then we will miss the true grace God has poured out for us on HIS Son- choice today who you will serve - to bring meaning into your life -follow God - HE knows what you are to do with your life -in the mean time just follow HIM! - He will never lead you in the wrong direction - He is all knowing and powerful - and He loves us with a passion - find meaning in your life - trust it all to JESUS CHRIST! Amen!

But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall He prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he does not fear before God...

What is your life built on? Is your foundation sure and true? Or is it built on the things of this world- the joys of this season? Or is your life built on the solid rock of JESUS CHRIST? Many claim to know Christ and yet really don't know Him -this can be seen each Sunday in churches across this land - some are there only to get their time in - then live as they want - it is not only effecting others within the church- but those on the outside as well -when they hear us confess with our mouth and yet our lives speak a different gospel - the world will be lead astray - we as Christ followers need to be sure we have the sure foundation in our lives - many fake it and make a bad name for those who really follow Jesus - Many put their faith only in what they can see -touch and understand - few want to venture out of the boat to walk on the water toward Jesus - Many have hidden agendas - they may seem like lambs on the outside but inside they are wolves - this is nothing new - during Jesus' ministry He had to call out many along the way - He could see right to the heart of the matter - nothing gets past Jesus - so if you are living a lie today - repent - return to JESUS - and if you are following JESUS continue on the path that HE has set before you - we must remember that the evil will parish - this is a sad thought - its our mission to reach the lost for JESUS - but its not only about speaking the truth - its about living the truth - none of us can make it apart from JESUS - allow HIM to live the life in you - fear God and worship HIM!

Let every soul be subject to the higher powers.
For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Today we will have a new President - Obama will take office this day - in response to this what is our job? I don't often venture far into politics but today I feel that I have to take that step to explain some things - the Word says that we are required as good witness of God to obey those whom He has put into authority over us - if we cannot submit to earthly authorities set up by God how can be submit to God? God has allowed Obama to be President this time in all of history - many say this is History making - the fact that Obama is a black man makes many stand up and shout - finally! But the truth of the matter it is God that put him over us - It is God that ordained it - for whatever reason - God has allowed this - we cannot sit around questioning why God allowed Obama to reach the highest office of our nation - but we are called upon to submit - even though we may not agree with his policies or what he may believe -we are called to submit - like it or not - we are to represent Christ in all we do -
We must step aside and allow God to do what HE knows is best - and just submit all the way - now this does not mean we have to agree with anything Obama does or says - but it does mean we must submit - in this life we will never ever get away from submitting to someone - its a fact of life -something we all must deal with - With all that said- I congratulate President Obama - I praise God for this new day - lets join together in lifting up the leader of the free world - and remember that God has allowed this for His glory for His plan - this is another reminder that its not about us at all - its all about God and His glory! Lets support Obama when and were we can - the bottom line is obedience to God at all times - He knows best -
