WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 3- We have been justified!

ROMANS 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. . .

The most amazing thing about the grace of God is that actually see us now as the righteousness of His Son - He can no longer see our past sins that kept us away from His presence- we have been justified by our faith in the finished work of JESUS CHRIST on the CROSS! We have a right standing with God now - the sins that cost JESUS so much have now been cast as far as the East is from the West- and our sin of the past has been cast deeper then the deepest sea -its far away -gone from God's view -when He looks at the redeemed of the LORD - He only sees HIS SON - without this we have no hope and our relationship with God would have ended at the fall - and we would live hopeless lives - but praise be to GOD that HE sent JESUS to pay the price - He took our sins upon HIMSELF and bled and died for us - The good news is that our sin is gone - this does not mean we have a free ticket to do as we please - when you come in contact with God's love you will want to obey HIM - you will want to Honor HIM - your life will begin to reflect HIS glory - just like the moon does not have its on light but its simply a reflection of the Sun - we too are the same way - our lives reflect the Son- we are justified for good works -Our sin kept us away from GOD But the blood of the LAMB brought us back! We are justified in CHRIST and HIM alone -there is no where else in all the world for us to turn -no other source offers true complete forgiveness but our FATHER GOD!
Thanks be to GOD for CHRIST JESUS our LORD!

A SIDE NOTE:
The door that was slammed shut by sin has been opened by JESUS - He has justified us with GOD - we are now able to go to GOD at all times-
HE is there for us because JESUS died for us - Justification is a beautiful word- lets live lives of thankfulness for GOD'S grace!

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 2- We are HIS friend. . .

JOHN 15:15
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant does not know what his lord is doing; but I have called you friends;
for all things that I have heard of My Father
I have made known to you!


When the fall of man occurred -we lost that intimate relationship with God that Adam and Eve once had -it was gone - and we became enemies of God - this was not the original purpose of our lives- once before sin entered the picture - Man and God were friends -but then sin came and God had to walk away - He could no longer be that close to HIS children and it broke HIS heart - we all know what God did next- He brought us back to HIMSELF through HIS SON - and now we have become His friends again - its not by our merit - but by HIS grace- He has opened back up the line of communication man once had with Himself -we have an open line today if we trust HIM as our LORD and SAVIOR - we are now the friends of God -today's verse gives the example of a servant and his master- a servant only works for his master and does not know or get into his affairs -but a friend is in the midst of his affairs -a friend comes into our enter circle - God has opened up HIS friendship with us - the most amazing aspect of this is the fact that we still fall short and yes we still sin - but God remains faithful to us - He remains steadfast in HIS desire to see everyone come to Him - God has brought us back to HIMSELF - celebrate this today!
Praise GOD!

A SIDE NOTE:
JESUS has brought us back to HIS FATHER - and the friendship has been restored - we can know GOD through the Son - and our lives will be forever changed -trust in the SON to know the FATHER!

WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST
part 1- We Are Accepted:

JOHN 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them gave He
power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on His name!

Today I begin a new series on who we are in Christ -I am not sure how long this will take - but there are many points I need to make about this subject- its important to know who JESUS says we are - for what He says is all that matters- many in this life will call you many things- but just because people say it does not make it true-lets find out together just who HE says we are!

When we receive Jesus into our lives by faith -He receives us - He takes possession of us -once before the fall of man we belonged to Him but the fall took us away from that intimate relationship man had with God - this was all taken away with one bite of the forbidden fruit - God saw our choice long before we ever made it and HIS heart ached -He had a plan from the beginning - He would send HIS SON to this world to die for our sins and anyone who accepts HIM as SAVIOR will be saved- this is who we are in CHRIST - we are now HIS children once we surrender our lives to HIS LORDSHIP - once this takes placed our lives are changed our a destiny changed -we are brought into a right relationship with GOD through JESUS the SON - We are now accepted as Righteous in CHRIST -its not our righteousness but HIS - HE has given it to us - HE has claimed us as HIS own - we now belong to HIM - He purchased us a very high price- The Death of HIS only Begotten SON!
Lets celebrate our acceptance that comes from CHRIST today and forever more -we now belong to HIM forever! amen!

A SIDE NOTE:
When it comes right down to it -God knew what He was purchasing with HIS SON - you and me - HE loves us with an unending love -We are now HIS children and He has us in HIS mighty hands! Be secure in this!

GOD SENT HIS SON TO BRING US BACK TO HIMSELF

Adopted

Galatians 4:4&5
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons!

One problem many of us have with the WORD is sometimes we feel its not talking to us - case in point- we are all the Bride of Christ rather male or female and in today's verse when it talks about the adoption of sons - it means both male and female - the WORD is speaking to all of us - I just wanted to say that since many may be wondering why the word daughter is no where to be found - God makes its simple for us!

The good news we all have in CHRIST Is that we have now been adopted into HIS family - this adoption unlike those of this world is in fact made in blood - the blood of the Lamb - we are now HIS children- many people thing simply being born into this world makes us a child of God - while in one case this is true- God made us so we are His - but in all actuality if you are not HIS then how can you be HIS child? We must not only be born into this world- but must also be reborn into Christ- for this adoption to take place we must place our trust in the completed work of Christ- we are no longer slaves to sin but now have been set free from the bondage of sin for a new life in CHRIST - we have been adopted and unlike those adopted in this world -we are as good as real children - He made us and then HE saved us - all for HIM and all by HIM-
We have the assurance of Heaven -no matter what happens on this side -Heaven still awaits - if you have placed your trust in JESUS then you can celebrate your adoption - if not then you are lost and without hope and you have not been adopted into God's family- you will face an eternity away from God - Jesus came to earth to save you -won't you trust HIM today? HE adopted you -the papers have been signed - all you have to do is trust Him - admit you're a sinner and trust in HIM to save you - We all can be adopted this very day - JESUS is the only way-
Praise GOD for this awesome adoption that makes us right with HIM!

A SIDE NOTE:
We are either GOD'S children or we are not -you have to choose who you will serve - yourself or God! The papers have been signed by the Blood of the Lamb - come to know JESUS today and be adopted into HIS family -forever!

What Will Worrying Do?

MATTHEW 6:27
Which of you by taking thought(worrying)
can add one cubit to his stature?

In my life worry has been a constant companion -ive learned to worry from a very early age- my upbringing was not very smooth at all and many things went wrong - all of which brought me to JESUS so I am thankful even if it was so tough growing up - ive learned to worry with the best of them - I worry about this and that - and its not how I want to live -it seems the harder I try not to worry - the more I do - this is a battle that ive been in for some time - the good news is JESUS has already purchased for us eternal life -HE has our lives covered -we never really need to worry ever again -Jesus says in today's verse that worrying will never bring good results -worry is nothing more then a lack of faith - this has been hard for me to swallow - but its so true - when God makes us a promise He will bring it to pass - the main problem we have is in the timing -we want what we want now - we want a solution now -we want to see the end result now -but often with God He will only show us what HE wants us to see - nothing more and nothing less - He wants us in a place were all we can do is believe Him - as ive said in the first couple of days this year- there would be pain -and struggles this year -but at the same time there will be victory if we just trust JESUS - this victory will not always be on this side of things - I do not believe in the health and wealth gospel - yes God can and will bless you - but its not because we have done anything to deserve it -sure God will reward us if we are faithful -but that should not be our only motivation to serve the Lord -because there will be hard times - and these times are not always just because we lack faith but because God wants us to learn something!

Are you in the habit of worrying - well then trust JESUS - its that simple - with faith in God our worry should begin to lessen - the more we trust Him the less our worry will be - the question is do you know HIM?
Answer this question today and then begin a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ -HE is calling you -lets not worry any more!

A SIDE NOTE:
Its easy to say not to worry -but if we really believe God and His promises - we would not worry at all - but do we really believe Him?

Man Of Sorrows

ISAIAH 53:3
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised and we esteemed Him not.

The pain by which Jesus saved us was intense - not just in a physical standpoint - He had to be left all alone - for the first time in all of History God had to turn His back on His Son - Jesus went through all this for us!

This year is barely 3 days old and already there has been tragedies - there has been pain and anguish - we live in an uncertain world - but we can be certain that God is still commands it all from His throne- We are not alone in this Universe -God is real and He has give us His Son to make a way back to Himself - Jesus has been called a Man of Sorrows and this is what HE was for us- for Him to leave heaven to become a man of all things -was as low as He could go to save us - He was born in a stable in a small town- surely it seemed this was just an ordinary man from an ordinary place- but this was not the case- JESUS was both man and God at the same time -He was able to experience pain -He walked in a body so we could see Him - He became flesh- and this was the beginning of His sorrows- in the end He died on a cross for you and me - He endured this pain in order that we may know God in a personal way and one day spend eternity with Him-

In this world there is gonna be trails and sorrows -there will be real pain - if you hear someone say that you can live a pain free life -run the other way- there is no such thing - this is a fallen world lest we forget -and we all are open to disaster at any time - many times we have this no me attitude - we get to the point of believing nothing bad will ever happen - the truth is this world is a tough place with many lost people looking for the purpose of life -many chose drugs or sex to fill their emptiness - some thing possessions will bring them peace or more money -some have bought into this lie that is from satan himself -we must remember that JESUS was a man of sorrows for you and me -HE died for you - won't you place your trust in Him today?
This man of sorrows wants you so much He was willing to die to get you! This is the GOD we worship, JESUS the CHRIST!

A SIDE NOTE:
The pain JESUS endured was to set us free from sin - sin has had the human race bound since the fall in the garden - but JESUS and His sacrificial death brought us back to God the Father and took the bondage of sin away forever! Praise God!

In Remembrance

Ecclesiastes 3:4
. . . a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance!

The Word for today says that there is a time for everything -it begins saying that God is completely in control - He has not once left His throne -He has always and always will be in that position! These verses in Ecclasiastes paint a picture of the world in which we live- one fact of life is that there will be death - we will leave these bodies - its only a matter of time - listen to the radio news or watch TV- or read the newspaper and you will see just how much death is a part of life- many loved ones have gone on home before us - we will be joining them very soon -time flies on by - I look back 20 years ago and cannot believe where the time has gone - then I look forward 20 years and realize it is not that far way -

Today is the National Day of Mourning for former President Ford - if he knew the LORD then its actually a day of rejoicing for him and his faith in God-
I say if here because I did not know him personally - only God knows for sure the state of his heart before he left this world- Please pray for his family that has been left behind - today post offices and all federal offices will be closed in his honor- The WORD says there is a time to weep and morn - to morn is not to lack faith -but its to feel the pain of those who suffered the loss - all this brings back to me all those who went home last year - from my friend's son -to my dear grandfather - its been a hard year- but I bet no harder then those before or those afterward - since we know we are going home someday -we need to live today - we need to remember that once today is gone -its gone forever -we must live it all for the Lord our God - We must live lives that are marked with the words - In Remembrance- for all we do should be done while we remember JESUS who suffered and died for us - but the good is rose again!
IN REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US

A SIDE NOTE:
One day we will all have to face death in one way or another -while its still called today -we need to get our lives in order -starting with our faith -we must have saving faith that is in JESUS and HIM alone-
Do you have that faith today? Today could be your last day -
its time to set it right with God - trust in JESUS today and forever more!

Welcome to the fresh new year of 2007 - this year is just hours old and we all look forward to what this year has in store for us - God is speaking to us today and as always HE tells of great things to come - it today's verse God is telling that the old things are now gone - 2006 is gone - we cannot ever again live those days - those days are forever gone - all we can do is move forward - but lets not forget this day - we should take 2007 one day at a time -there will be blessings this year but at the same time there will be trying times - there will be days when we cannot see the reason for what is happening - but God as always will be on the throne - HE alone is our Father - He will allow us blessings and times of testing - but in the end all of it will be for HIS purpose- We are not our own and neither is this year- it all belongs to God - He made it all - and He has plans for you this year - this day - lets take the time this year to get alone with God and just listen - I heard a verse today -it talks about our strength being renewed when we wait on the Lord -that is the simple message I bring to you today - lets wait on the LORD - He and He lone know the right direction - He alone is our beacon in a world of darkness -
Lets go and fill our calendar with great things- for the pages are blank -and soon we will return to work and school and things will go back to normal -and while we put up the CHRISTmas directions - lets not put Christ away but lets allow HIM to stay at the verse surface of our lives so He can go even deeper into our hearts this year- 2006 was year that had both blessings and trials and 2007 will be the same in that regard - but today -we have a new year that stretches before us -and this is just one more year closer to our Savior's return - lets wait on the LORD this year - Happy New Year

Therefore in any man be in CHRIST, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold all things have become new!

One turn of the calendar and its a new year -as we look back on this year and look forward to the next- we must remember that with GOD all things have become new - all the struggles we faced this year -should have brought us closer to Christ - each year has its share of problems- I am sure if we look back we can see what lessons we learned -we have seen the areas in which we need to improve - we can start this new year with a new heart -with a new gratitude for what CHRIST has done for us- HE has taken our sin filled and lost lives and saved us - HE has taken our sin -He has taken all those things that cause our relationship with Him to be strained - He has taken all the old things and now everything has become new once again- the relationship we had originally has been restored -no longer are we lifeless beings but now are new beings- maybe you have known Christ many years or maybe you are lost right now and don't know what its like to have all things new - to start this new year with a new heart you must trust JESUS - You must admit you are a sinner and put your trust in the Savior - He is waiting for you right now - you can place your trust in HIM for HE is trustworthy-HIS record is completely undefeated - in an uncertain world He is our certainty - He is our Savior and HE wants to make all things new in your life -why not start 2007 with the saving grace provided to us through JESUS-
We have just celebrated HIS Birth - today you can celebrate your rebirth in Him - you see if you live apart from Him you are dead in your sins - but if you trust Him - you will be dead to your sin! Let God make all things new today -and you will start the new year with a new heart!
JESUS is the way - Trust in HIM today -
He will make a way
where there was once none-
HE is the way to God
He is the way to know
THE LOVE - THE JOY and the PEACE only JESUS can bring!God bless you and happy new year!

SAVED FROM THE PIT

GENESIS 37:23-24
And it came to pass when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colors that was on him; and they took him and cast him into a pit. . .


Some days when I sit down to pray and then do the devotional for the next day -often I have no idea what I am going to write about or what verse I am to use - but yesterday was different - as I was going through my day minding my own business and working - God came to me with this subject matter -you see like all of us - I've been a bit blue for some time - not sure just why - but like Joseph I've been in a pit - not that I am in despair or anything -its just been a trying time in my life of faith - but I've come out of it with this message- praise God - you see going through bad times is never easy - it takes it toll on us - but if we would just wait on the Lord, He would see us through - I have to say that sometimes I am still caught in that pit - but God is the one who saves me from it - this can be said on many levels - God sent His Son to save us from the pit (hell in this case) and Joseph the main character of today's verse also was saved by God from a pit - the thing that gets me the most about this passage and this story is that all the good things that followed His pitiful (sorry!) experience had to come after being tossed in a pit - what would you do if your brothers tossed you into a pit and left you for dead? Many would give us - I would pout -and then complain and finally give up hope - that's when I focus on my strength and not God's strength - He will pull you out of the pit if you are in one - and He will lift us up to new life in Him - Joseph was thrown in the pit and this was the beginning of something great- Joseph would one day rule over his brothers just as he had said - when you are down and out and there seems to be no hope - turn to God - He will never leave us in the pit longer then we need to be in the pit - this whole experience has taught me that we really do need to trust in JESUS and not in our power - we must trust God to deliver us - He will do it in HIS time-
This message was on my heart -I hope it has spoken to you -
God wants you to know you are in HIS hands!
Praise GOD!


A side note: The first thing we have to do when trown in a pit is to look up!
There is where our help will come! Keep on looking up!

Because of CHRIST we are saved from the pit of despair!

CHRISTmas DAY

Make sure you see JESUS this CHRISTmas season!

LUKE 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior which is CHRIST the LORD!

The journey for Mary and Joseph has come to pass and JESUS has been born - THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD has been born- and everything has changed for everyone - JESUS came to this world as a baby - a helpless baby that had to be raised by earthly parents -these parents where to raise God - wow - can you imagine that - since JESUS was GOD with skin on -HE had every right to judge how they raised Him - but God knew what HE was doing when HE came to Mary and told her though the Angel she would give birth to HIS SON! We have been walking toward this day all year -this is the day of days -the day in which GOD brought HIS SON into the world so that all would be saved through HIM - We can now see the SON in CHRISTmas - for without the Son we have no hope and our faith is in vain - we must see the Son in all we do and say - HE must be in our hearts and on our lips - Mary has gone through a tough time but in the end JESUS came forth - and She was blessed - this baby was like no other but yet just like any - Jesus was helpless and had to rely on HIS parents -the GOD who made all came not as ruling king - but as an infant - a child of all things - when GOD does something - HE goes all the way - JESUS had be this way to save us - He had to live like us but without sin - HE had to come this way -but when HE returns He will come the way HE deserves and every knee will bow on that day - right now let us Celebrate this day CHRIST THE LORD - lets see the SON in our lives today -and lets show others -The ultimate action of love of all times is God sending HIS SON to this world- with the single mission to die to save us - His mission was accomplished - Mary has given birth to the LORD - and Joseph will show JESUS many thins and JESUS will work with Him to build - JESUS our LORD is born - lets PRAISE THE LORD!! JESUS IS OUR SAVIOR!

why not give JESUS a gift today on HIS BIRTHDAY?
the only thing HE wants is you - HE wants you to KNOW THE WAY TO THE FATHER - JESUS CAME TO DIE - HE WAS BORN TO DIE - HE CAME TO DIE - HE CAME TO SET THE WRONG RIGHT AND TO BRING US INTO A RIGHT STANDING RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD! THE GREATEST GIFT YOU COULD RECIEVE IS SLAVATION THAT ONLY CHRIST JESUS CAN BRING - just look at HIM - the SAVIOR is born- that little baby who was born in a stable will end up on a cross -this was HIS Mission - if you want to know HIM today - please ask HIM into your heart and we will all celebrate with you!

JESUS WAS BORN TO DIE - SO WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO!

Dear Children,It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking my name out of the season. Maybe you've forgotten that I wasn't actually born during this time of the year and that it was some of your predecessors who decided to celebrate my birthday on what was actually a time of pagan festival; although I do appreciate being remembered anytime. How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate my birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Now, having said that let me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting my birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen, and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn. If all my followers did that, there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town. Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can, and may remember me any time you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that once in a teaching explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks were. If you have forgot that one, look up John 15: 1 - 8. If you want to give me a present in remembrance of my birth, here is my wish list. Choose something from it. 1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way my birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know, they tell me all the time. 2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them. 3. Instead of writing George complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write and tell him that you'll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up with, "It will be nice hearing from you again." 4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't afford and they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of my birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them. 5. Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you don't know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile -- it could make the difference. Also, you might consider supporting the local Hot-Line: they talk with people like that every day.7. Instead of nit-picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't allowed to wish you a "Merry Christmas," that doesn't keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn't make so much money on that day, they'd close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families. 8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary, especially one who takes my love and good news to those who have never heard my name. You may already know someone like that.9. Here's a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have no "Christmas" tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don't know them (and I suspect you don't), buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Marines, the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in me and they will make the delivery for you.10. Finally if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do things in secret that you wouldn't do in my presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine.P.S Don't forget:I am God and can take care of myself. Just love me and do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest. DEEP SEEKERS

ISAIAH 29:15
Woe to them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark, and they say -who sees us? and who knows us?


Today's verse speaks of those people who try and hide their deeds from others - including God - they believe they can do what they want and not have to answer to anyone -this is the premise of many who refuse to believe there is a God - because to them if their is a God they must answer to Him - many act like they live in a vacuum and they are not to be held accountable at all - these people seek deep dark places - places they feel they are not being watched - I have to tell you - that God is everywhere -you cannot hide from God - He knows our deeds - not only those we have done - but even those we have not done yet - He looks past what man sees and drives right into the heart of the matter- HE knows more then all of creation put together times 1,000,000! God is God - and lets remember there are no hidden deeds -The Word says that every idle word will be revealed in the end -this should wake us up - even those words we did not say - where thought and God sees even our thoughts - lets not try and hide our deeds- rather lets start off doing only what pleases our Father God - then there will be nothing to hide -and when you fall (and we all do) just go right back to Him and admit it and move on - God will forgive you if your trust your life to Christ-
lets not be deep seekers -but instead lets be God pleasers!

A side note: God knows the beginning and end of everthing - He was before we were born -and HE will be even after we leave this place - HE IS THE GREAT I AM - not the great I was! amen!

WHERE YOU LOOK

PSALM 123:2
Behold, as the eyes of the servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto them hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that HE have mercy upon us!


Where trouble comes -where do you look for help? If you are like most of us - the first place we usually look is to ourselves- then if we cannot obtain the answer on our own -we then go to God - this my friends is not the way God longs for us to deal with the trials of life - He wants us to look to Him - many of our problems stem from how we deal with the trials of life -if we try to solve them all on our own we leave God out of the picture - it should be noted here that God is not a vending machine - He is not some genie we can go to with any request and HE has to give us what we want when we want it - rather God is our Father in Heaven and HE wants to give us good gifts - He knows what we have need of before we even ask Him - He has it covered - When we look to HIM and not ourselves or others- HE is honored and praised!

Since getting married 2 and half years ago - ive learned that I can over do things - I can do too much and not allow my wife to pitch in - this is the same way with God - HE does not want self-sufficient people who can get along without Him - He wants people who know their place is at HIS feet- people who know they need HIM-
I have admit there are times I feel fine on my own, there are days when I do not cry out to God for help - those are missed opportunities that could have been used to bring glory to God - we are all in the same boat- lets trust the LORD with everything - HE made it all and owns it all - Lets be careful of where we look for help- it should be in CHRIST ALONE! amen!

A side note: WHEN TROUBLE COMES - AND IT WILL - LETS BE SURE TO LOOK TO THE LORD FOR OUR HELP! HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE! WE ALL NEED HIM - WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING APART FROM HIM! <><

HEBREWS WALK #57

HEBREWS 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace in time of need!

JESUS has done many things for us HIS children! First of all He came and lived a sin-free life as an example for us - secondly He came to die- His whole purpose in being born in the lowly manger was so He could die on the old rugged cross - Third - Jesus brought us salvation through that cross - by His blood - Fourth - HE has given us the ability to live a victorious life here and now - finally Jesus has given us the open door with the Father - We can now at any time and any where approach the throne of Grace!
God longs to hear from His children - the line of communication that was cut off since the garden was now fully open for all to come and seek Him - He wants all to come to know Him - how many times have your approached the throne of grace? Have you had a conversation with God today? Our lives are not to be lived in silence - God wants us to ask anything according to HIS will so He can answer our prayers- most people who know JESUS seem to forget the privilege we have to be able to approach HIS throne - no more can only the priest come into HIS presence - but everyone who bears HIS name! Lets go to the throne - but not just leisurely - but Boldly as Paul has said - we need that kind of faith!
Faith that is real and can move mountains!

A side note: JESUS takes our imperfect prayers and brings them to the Father for HIM to answer - JESUS pleads our case before the Father every moment - The throne room is now open to those who have been saved by HIS wonderful grace - its time to go to the throne -and go boldly!
THANK THE LORD!

In CHRIST the door to the throne room remains open!

WHERE DO YOU STAND?

PSALM 130:3
If You, Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who shall stand?

Where we stand now will determine what our future holds - If we stand alone apart from Christ -we will die in our sins and be forever separated from God the Father - but if we make our stand in CHRIST - our sins will be forgiven -every one of them - and we will have eternity with God - the choice is ours! If we do not have Christ in our hearts by faith -we will be held accountable for every sin we have committed -we will be called to stand before God on our merit alone - and that is not a good thing -we cannot make it to heaven apart from Christ - He is the only way in - where we stand today will determine our standing with God tomorrow and forever more - What Jesus did for us is the most amazing thing - the Word says that HE became sin for us and died a horrific death on the cross -to take our punishment -to pay the price in full - and not only that - God says HE will not even remember our sins - they will be cast as far as the East is from the West- Many feel that if they live a good moral life God has to let them into HIS kingdom - this is not biblical at all - some feel if we have more good deeds then bad deeds that God is required to take notice and allow us enteral life -the main problem with this is we are eternal of earning our way into the kingdom - its not by what we do -its by what JESUS did -
So ask yourself this question today -where do you stand?
Do you know where you will end up when this life is over? Do you have reservations for Heaven? If you do not know JESUS as LORD then there is only one option -eternal separation from God - lets seek the Lord and know that we belong to Him -if there is any doubt - then ask Him into your heart right now- its simple -there is no magic formula or just the right words -HE wants you to confess HIM as Lord - so do that now - ask JESUS to come into your heart by faith and HE will do that and HE will save you - your standing with God will be forever changed!Where do you stand? Forgiven or condemned?


A side note: Make a stand today - Follow CHRIST!

Because of CHRIST our standing with GOD is good!

HEBREWS 4:15
For we have not a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted
Like as we are, yet without sin!


Jesus Christ is our High Priest- He can relate to us - for one reason because He created us - and if that was not enough - He also lived among us - He knows how it is to be a man - He knows what its like to be tempted - yet Jesus never once sinned - we however can sin given the right set of circumstances - our Great High priest can relate to our pain - He went through so much doing His time on Earth - Jesus was also sent into the wilderness - not by satan -but by God Himself to be tempted - Jesus had many opportunities to do as He pleased - but He had one central goal in mind - to please the Father - Our Great High Priest came to earth as a mere babe in a manger -and He faced everything every normal child faced -and while nothing is written from the time JESUS was born until He is 12 years - I know that JESUS was a normal child - He had to grow- He had to teethe - He had to cry and seek the help of His parents - but that's where the similarity stopped - JESUS was GOD'S SON and HIS mission was to die for mankind - this is the great HIGH PRIEST in which we serve - He knows what its like to walk a mile in our shoes - He can relate to us and we can relate to HIM -
Lets worship our Great High Priest -JESUS CHRIST!
He was tempted but never once gave in - and when we come to know HIM that same Spirit lives inside of us -to guide us and show us the way!

A side note: JESUS CAME NEAR - SO HE COULD BECOME A MAN - HE LIVED - HE GREW - AND HE WAS KILLED - HE LIVED LIKE WE DO BUT WITHOUT SIN -OUR HIGH PRIEST CAN RELATE TO US BECAUSE HE BECAME LIKE US BUT WITHOUT SIN! PRAISE GOD FOR OUR HIGH PRIEST!

In CHRIST we have a High Priest that knows us!

JESUS HAS STOOD UPON THE EARTH - HE HAS SEEN WHAT WE NOW SEE!

WHO SHALL STAND?

MALACHI 3:2
But who shall abide the day of HIS coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiners fire, and the cleaner's soap.

On my way home from Church last night - I was praying and this thought consumed me - I felt God was saying that one day every knee will bow - and every tongue shall confess HE is LORD - I know its a scripture but not the address - the main thought was this -that when Jesus comes back - all will bow before Him -some will have to forced to do this -while others will just do it because they want to worship Him - one way is by force- the other will be by humbleness- which group are you in? This was a powerful thought -because there is coming a day people of God -that Jesus will come and all will bow down before Him - not just those who believe and are saved - but all -there is no one left out - even satan will bow in total defeat one day - his day is coming - this should not bring fear to us - but awe - this should cause us to want to go out into the world and preach the truth to reach the lost -so that on that day CHRIST returns - they will now be among those who willingly submit and bow to JESUS!
That day will be like no other day- when Christ returns - He will come as HE deserves to come and He alone deserves our worship!

A side note: When JESUS comes back -we will be found like HIM in that very instant - Jesus asked a pointed question - would He find faith when HE returns? If you are among the saved - then there will be faith!
BY HIS GRACE THE ANSWER IS YES!

Because of CHRIST the end is our beginning!

HEBREWS 4:14
Seeing then that we have a Great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast to our profession!


In Old Testament times Priests had to be used to offer the sacrifice to God for the atonement of sins - this was the foreshadowing of JESUS CHRIST the GREAT HIGH PRIEST - He paid the debt in full -and unlike the animal sacrifices of the past -It was a one time deal -and once was just enough to save the entire human race - the offer is available to everyone -and there is no age limit at all - rather you have come to know JESUS CHRIST as a young child or during the 11th hour on your death bed -one drop of blood from the Great High Priest was all it took to save us! God is good and faithful- He sent HIS SON to this world to save us -this is the whole reason we celebrate CHRISTmas - its not for the gifts or the family visits - and while that is all good and has it place -that should never be the cental reason- we must celebrate JESUS during HIS birthday - while not a command - its just should be the goal of us HIS children during this CHRISTmas season - JESUS is no longer with us in body but is always with us in Spirit- HE has passed into the heavens - He is and always will be our great High Priest -one that can understand what its like to be a man - JESUS the SON of GOD has come to save us - won't you allow HIM to save you today? HE is waiting for you - HE longs for you to come to come to HIM - do you know JESUS? If you do -great- love HIM - follow HIM and obey HIM in all that you do - this is the only priest that is to be worshipped -JESUS the SON of GOD!
Lets hold tightly to our profession - we believe JESUS is God's only SON and live our lives in such a way to show the world this fact!
Our GREAT HIGH PRIEST has come to save all that is lost!

A side note: Jesus was 100% GOD and 100% Man - He was born just like we were - but HIS mother was a virgin! He came into this world and dwelled among us- and then died for us - HE is our forever Great High Priest! HE DESIRES OUR WORSHIP! amen!

In CHRIST our profession stands strong!

LIFT YOUR EYES

PSALM 121:1/123:1
121:1- I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence comes my help. 123:1- Unto You do I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the Heavens!

This life has problems in it - God has warned us time and time again that it can get really hard- I was thinking about the fact that all by one of JESUS closest followers suffered a martyrs death - God has promised eternal life - but never an easy life down here - While many ask God for blessings only - In the pain is where we seem to learn the most - and when problems come -and they will - its how we deal with them that counts- do we run to God or away when times get hard? Do we lift our eyes to God or just view our problems face to face while God is looking down from Heaven and wanting to help us - but we refuse His help and He won't force Himself on us - God wants us to be mature in our faith and HE will do whatever it takes in our lives to make that happen! We must lift our eyes to our Father God when times are both good and bad - He seeks a personal relationship with His children - He wants our constant contact - He wants us to turn to HIM when the trouble comes - In our human flesh- we try and solve the problems without HIS help- We want to be in control of our own lives and we do not want any help- all the while God is waiting to us to look to HIM!
Where do you lift your eyes when trouble comes?
JESUS is the best place to look - He alone is our life and our peace!
HE IS LORD - Trust HIM today! Amen!

A side note: our reactions to problems say a lot about our faith - if our faith is stong in the LORD - our eyes always look to HIM first- if not - we try and solve problems without HIS help and miss that close realtionship He desires to have with us - HIS children.

Because of CHRIST we have peace in the storms!

HEBREWS 4:13
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight; but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him
with whom we have to do.

There is something I am learning about in my weekly bible study - its about how God is in full and complete control - well maybe this is not something new - its something ive known since God revealed it - we can have confidence in God that HE is in control- He sees all - He knows all - and there is nothing hidden from His view - Everything is naked before Him - while we can try and hide things from other people -we cannot do this with God - HE already knows what we are going to do before we even do it - get your mind around that - HE must now - HE has to know - He saw into the future and knows when our lives here will be over- its already set in time -we just have not reached it yet -God sees everything and He is everywhere - nothing takes our God by surprise- He is not ringing His hands in worry - HE is on the throne - HE is the strong tower - Our Protector - if we would trust in HIM - He would see us through - no matter what is gonna happen - God already knows about it!Lets worship our GOD who knows and sees everything! HE can see right past our exterior and into our hearts - what will He see in us today?

A side note: God already knows our tomorrows and our yesterdays - HE knew man was gonna fall before He even placed us in the garden - but HE still created us because HE knew HE would love us - and the rest is HIS STORY! GOD IS IN CONTROL!

In CHRIST our future is secure!
