HE FULFILLED

ACTS 3:18
...But those things, which God before had shown by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ should suffer, He has so fulfilled!

The mission of Jesus Christ was nothing more then a rescue mission - us from our sins -our sins that separate us from a Holy and Righteous God - God's mercy is rich in Christ- He came and did as HE was told and He fulfilled it all -nothing more is needed - you know today you truly live for the first time - God's offer is now on the table - He came willingly to die for your sin - your sin placed Him on the cross and His mighty love for you kept Him there in prefect submission to His Father.
Jesus paid it all - He paid our debt - a debt He did not owe - these are words from a precious song that rings true as we leave the Easter Season -soon we will speak about Jesus going back to His Father -His mission completed - It is finished cried Jesus just before He died for our sins - lets worship Him with our lives -we don't have to put on a front -we don't have to prove ourselves righteous - we don't have to fulfill a list of to do's - all we need to do is be still and know that He is God - let HIM live through you - the whole point is that we cannot do it alone - we can do nothing apart from Jesus says John 15:5-
Let JESUS shine through your life - because HE has fulfilled it all!
He paid it all - nothing more to do but worship Him forever!
He fulfilled it all - His love reigns - live in His love today and forever!
footnote: The Mission: Save the world, The Reason: Love, The purpose:
To bring us back to right standing with God! The result: Its finished!
because of CHRIST......its done - our sins ARE forgiven!

footnote messages part 4

1st John 3:4
He that says, I know HIM(CHRIST), and does not keep His commandments, is a lair, and the truth is not in him.
(Tomorrow's verse will be 1 John 1:6)

Today's verse piggybacks off yesterdays - the Word plainly states that if you say you know GOD but do not follow His commandments He says you are a lair - and the truth is not in your - I have to confess I know someone that no longer walks in the light of the truth of these words - they are at a point where right seems wrong and wrong seems right. They lie at the drop of a hat and think nothing wrong of it - The words God uses are harsh but none the less true - how can we say we know Him and yet live just like the world around us - God say if this is so -the truth is not in you - now hear me out - I am not saying that if you sin you are lost - nor am I saying that one sin causes you to fall - but its a lifestyle - its when you begin to sin in one area and you keep on going - and then saying you know God is absurd - now granted - some are not at the same level spiritually and God takes that into account -but the bottom line is if you really love HIM you will obey Him! I know in my own life there has been areas where I have continued to sin - and its those areas that God is working on in my life- He is showing me where I fall short and shows me He makes up the difference- one reason its important to obey God is that the world around us is watching -looking to see if we just say we love JESUS or if we really do love JESUS - even the lost world around us can tell - lets examine our lives to see if there is any sin that is keeping us from a close and intimate relationship with Christ and hand it over to Him - Is the truth in you?

a side note: If you have CHRIST inside -you will obey HIM!
In CHRIST obedience is a lifestyle!

footnote messages part 5

1st John 1:6
If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not know the truth...

Today is the final footnote message- I hope to do this again soon - I also have some other things in the work - maybe going back to James and doing chapter 2- pray for me and this ministry -thank you!
Today's verse is much like yesterday's - the main point to me is that both darkness and light cannot exist in the same place at the same time - you have to have either or - and sin and purity cannot be in the same place -you have either one or the other - if you have no darkness - you have light - if you have no light - you have darkness - another way to put this is a tree can only produce the kind of fruit that comes from within - just like we produce from the outflow of our hearts - and for some of us - our hearts are a very dark place -however -God can see past all the stuff we put on the outside - and He looks right at our hearts - and He knows what's inside of us - Jesus said He knew what was inside of man - it is what causes death - Jesus in answering the Religious leaders question about washing before eating - Jesus said its not what goes into a man that defiles him - but what comes out of a man - what's in your heart? Today might be a good day to take an inventory - take a look at your life -seek God and see where sin exists in your life and ask Him to take it all away - but you must be willing to let go of something's- I will admit sin is pleasurable - that's why so many fall for its lie - many think that they can get by with something but the truth is God knows all and sees all - nothing is hidden from Him -this includes our hearts -if we say we have fellowship with God and yet live like the world around us - God says we lie! Lets give our lives over to JESUS so that the evil one cannot have us! Amen!

a side note: The absance of Light is just darkness...
In CHRIST we see the LIGHT even in the darkness of this world!

-THE EASTER SERIES-
- THE CROSS - THE GRAVE - THE LIFE -

PART 1 - 3/15/08
THE DAY BEFORE PALM SUNDAY

John 12:13
They took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Jesus was coming to town riding on a donkey - exactly the way it was foretold hundreds of years before. He came to Jerusalem not as a worldly King that many thought He would come as - but as a lowly and humble servant of the Most High God - and yet all these people - some say thousands of people lined the streets that day to see Jesus ride into town - and nothing was ever the same again -the religious leaders felt this was the last straw - they hated the fact Jesus got so much attention and they also hated what He had to say - this crowd that is cheering on the coming King - will just a few days from now call for His death on a cross -this was all God's plan - This was not some last ditch effort to save mankind from our sins - not this was even before the beginning of all things!
The Cross - The Grave - The Life -
This series takes us from the Royal Entrance where we join the crowd in praising God - saying Hosanna in the Highest -Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord- Jesus came to die - this was His mission - So now the cross is coming into view - Jesus has told His Disciples that He was going to be judged and condemned to death - that He would be found guilty though He never ever sinned - not even once - and would pay the price for our sins - all of them - no one is too far from God - He is there waiting - JESUS did not come all that way just to set up an Earthly Kingdom - HE came to set the captives free - He came to laid HIS life down - He came for the cross - while Jesus worked with HIS hands in the caper entry shop - He would soon die on the wood of the cross - He knew the cost was great -
but He willing came in our place and paid it all - He gave HIS life for us!
Tomorrow is Palm Sunday - the Triumphant Entry - Jesus came humbly and would be treated like a criminal - but in the end - will show everyone just who HE is! The Cross - the Grave - The Life - its all about JESUS!
Lets celebrate JESUS - look for a new edition tomorrow -
GOD BLESS YOU!Daniel

PALM SUNDAY
Matthew 21:15
...and the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased.

Today is Palm Sunday-
Jesus has just made His way to the very city He would die in just a week later -but on this day - the Children cried out to Jesus - for they knew He was the healer - they just knew this was the King of Kings -and this displeased the chief priests and scribes- amazingly - they were too blind to see that this was JESUS -the Messiah on a colt going down the street - they thought He was going to set up rule here -even His closest followers thought the same thing - the people lined the streets and threw Palm Branches into the street just ahead of Him - and some even put their cloaks and coats in the way for JESUS is KING! But little did they know this same JESUS would give HIS life away in just a week -today HE was worshipped and Adored - but soon He would be whipped - spit upon -cussed at and crucified as a common criminal -except Jesus did not do the crime - it was our sin that put Him on the cross but it was HIS love to kept Him there - soon these same people crying out praises to Jesus would cry to have Him murdered - its funny how human nature is - how we can change so quick - The problem for Jesus was that His time had not yet come for Him to rule - no this time He was riding to His death - I have heard JESUS left after this entrance but would come back again- but the next time He would be bound and lead to the slaughter -just like a lamb - This is the LAMB of GOD that takes away the sins of the world-
follow HIM - seek HIM - give your life to HIM
for HE is the only hope for us - HE was born to die-
today He was cheered - soon He would be jeered -
What do you do with JESUS?

welcome to holy week......
MATTHEW 26:2You know that after two days is the feast of The Passover and the Son of Man is betrayed to be crucified.
Today is Monday of a week that will end on Friday with the crucifixion and death of Jesus but next week opens to His resurrection! Before we can get to that point however -we must walk with Jesus to the Cross -to the Grave and then we will see the Life! The road to the cross was not an easy one for Jesus - He had told His 12 closest followers about His soon coming death - and yet they seemed to ignore what He said - at one point Peter rebuked JESUS for saying such things - but sadly Peter misunderstood what was about to happen - all those people on the street the day before - did not understand Jesus was to die for the sins of humanity - they all thought He was going to set up an Earthly Kingdom from which He would rule - but HIS plans went so much further -Jesus came to this place to die - The cross was His goal and when the time was right -Jesus would be tried and found guilty of a crime He never committed - but right now the disciplines still had JESUS with them and all this talk of Him dying was more then they could take - Jesus knew what was about to happen - soon Jesus would be captured as a criminal that He never was - soon everyone would turn against Him - soon Judas would betray JESUS - the time was not right - soon and very soon we will see what betrayal looks like - only a true friend could betray Jesus - otherwise it was not complete betrayal.
Let's walk a little more with JESUS down the road that leads to the Cross - the Grave and the Life....

Tuesday of Holy Week...
Matthew 21:12-13
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and brought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them: "It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves."
Today's verse dispels what many think about Jesus -many see Jesus as almost feminine - I mean just look at the paints of Jesus - with His clear skin and no muscle tone - with perfect hair and what not - Jesus was not that at all - He was a man's man - He was a man who worked out in the sun - He got dirty and He had muscles - you don't work as a carpenter and not be in great shape- its a plus for that type of work - Jesus had just entered the Holy City and His first line of business was throwing out those who made a mockery of God and of His temple - Jesus did not ask them to leave -He physically made them leave- turning over the tables and kicking them out - some may say Jesus is a mad man for doing this -but as I thought about this yesterday - I realized that JESUS saw this His whole life -HE knew even as a child that there were people making money by cheating those with guilt - Jesus saw this year after year and watched as the temple workers got more and more selfish - He was at His breaking point and it was high time JESUS did what was right and kick them out - now they most likely came back - but things where never the same - the temple would be destroyed some 40 years later -their time would come - Jesus did what He did out of love for His Father - His motivation was to send the message that while GOD is love -HE is also righteous!
Even today people are cheating us by making money off us by dishonest means and those who deny our Savior want our money - but don't want to hear about our Lord - allow JESUS to lead you in what you should do - spread the message of love but if needed - do the unexpected and surprise everyone!

Wednesday of Holy Week...
Matthew 14:1
After two days was the feast of the Passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take Him by craft and put Him to death.
It did not take long for those who opposed Jesus and His message to band together and take Him down - many of these chief priests and the scribes did not agree on most things - but when the subject of this Judaean rebel came up - they looked eye to eye - many of these people sought to kill Jesus quickly and quietly - they did not want to make a scene - but in the end that is exactly what they did - today is the day of preparation - Thursday is the Last Super moving on to Friday which is called good - those who plotted against Jesus thought about killing him during Passover but they did not want a revolt - it had to be at the right time - now the truth of the matter is was not up to man to decided when the time to kill Jesus was - no God already had it all planned out - He knew what the outcome would be - earlier when people tried to stone Jesus to death -He vanished from their sight -for it was not yet time - but now the cross is even clearer - Jesus is now about to tell His disciples the last things before He would die - He gave them simple instructions - such as find the place where the last supper would be - Jesus was saying His final good-bye's this side of His death - the disciples at this point still do not understand what is about to happen - most of them thought Jesus was going to rule here and now - not in the kingdom to come but would be ruler now - however this was not God's plan at all - Jesus knew He came to this earth to die - and that is what HE will do - as we celebrate Holy Week -lets focus on just how much and how far it took for JESUS to save us - it took only one drop of blood - Jesus laid down His life for us - lets prepare our hearts for the rest of this week-
soon Friday will give way to Saturday and then Easter Sunday!

Maudy Thursday...
Luke 22:14-15
And when the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. And He said to them. With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer....
There is something very intimate about sharing a meal - what date do you know of that there is not a meal involved? What do families do when they get together? They gather around the table - and eating is only part of the whole.
To have dinner with someone - to spend time with them - talking - is one of the best ways you can get to know someone - its as natural as breathing -
With that in mind, Jesus wanted to spend one last meal with His followers before He was to suffer - Jesus was basically saying good-bye - yet even at this hour - the 12 did not understand that Jesus was about to die -they had heard Him talk about suffering - but they did not get the whole picture - Peter the spokesperson of the group - told Jesus that he would follow Him even in death - this statement was true but it was not what Peter had in mind - Peter would end up denying His Master three times - but now the focus was on this meal - this Passover meal- Jesus had participated in many during His years on Earth - but this would be His last until He returns - Jesus knew the hour was late and He knew that one of the 12 would betray Him -the stage has been set - soon the meal will give way to a night of prayer and anguish- of three of His followers falling asleep three times! Soon the religious leaders will bound Jesus and take Him away - the cross is close at hand - lets remember that Jesus knew what was coming -He knew the price that was needed and He was willing to pay it!

GOOD FRIDAY
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Today is Good Friday - and it is very good - this year I wanted to take a different approach to this day - instead of staying in the gospel accounts of Jesus' death - I thought I would focus on the joy instead of the pain of this day - after much prayer - I began to see and understand that much of the time this day is spent thinking about all the pain and grief Jesus had to endure -the fact that He had to become sin - our sin -and die for it - though never having sinned - ever- the fact is that while this event in the life of our Savior was painful- there was also some joy involved- the joy that Jesus knew HE was going to be saving us from our sin -the Joy that this one act would forever undo what happened in the garden - that we would be reconciled back to God- Jesus saw what the end result of His obedience even unto death would bring - and it was good - As a young child I never understood how anyone can call a day when Jesus died as good -- but I didn't fully understand then - I just thought this man died for no reason -- and people around me seemed happy about it! Little did I know that JESUS laid HIS life down for me - so I know everything I fall into sin - and seek His face - I know that HE paid the price for my sin - we need to personalize it - we need to see that while following Christ can sometimes cause us pain and grief - the joy we get far outweighs it - Jesus knew His actions would save the world -He knew what was required and He never backed down - even at the point of death JESUS asked that HIS Father forgive them because they did not know what they where doing.....

AND JESUS BREATHED HIS LAST...and died.....

3-7-08 DAILY BLUEPRINT:

Not Forsaken

Psalm 27:10
When my father and my mother forsake me,
then the Lord will take me up!

Do any of you feel forsaken? Take that a step further - do you know any one you may have forsaken? Its a normal human thing that all of us have either done or its been done to us - if we trust the wrong person - if you think the move we make will bring us closer only to cause us to fall further apart -you know what being forsaken is all about -
our LORD JESUS was forsaken by GOD the FATHER at the cross - GOD had to turn HIS back on HIS SON because JESUS became sin for us - JESUS Knows what its like to be forsaken - but for us God promises to never forsake us or leave us -HE promises to always be there and we can always trust HIM - when people in your life let you down and walk away from you - God will pick you up! These words fall kindly on my ears tonight -its been one of those days when my emotions have run wild and I don't know where I am or where I am going -its comforting to know in the midst of all this -GOD Is there -and HE is holding me - rejoice children of the Most High -GOD is with you - it may not seem to be true - but it is - beyond those clouds and the dust of this world Heaven awaits - just because you cannot see it -does not mean its not there! Lets remind each other that in CHRIST you will never been forsaken - sure those that you love may walk away never to return and those we put our trust in can harm us and let us down -but GOD never will - HE will never leave us! HE will never forsake us - run to HIM now - HE is waiting for you! Praise HIS Mighty name!

a side note: A friend that sticks closer then a brother - JESUS is!
In CHRIST we are never forsaken!

After Words

JOHN 20:19
Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in their midst, and said to them, Peace be unto you....

Yesterday we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord Jesus - today we see again that Jesus appeared to many after He rose from the dead- here in today's verse- Jesus had some after words! What was the first words spoken to His followers after He rose? It was not judgment -but love -It was a simple peace be with you! They were hiding out from the Jews -and they were hidden away - behind closed and locked doors -but Jesus was still able to be with them- the same holds true of our lives- although we may hid behind the doors of our lives - Jesus can still break through - He loves us and He desires we have a close and intimate relationship with Him - He came from Heaven to Earth for that very reason - He knew the cost and willingly and with joy laid down His life - but praise GOD that was not the end of the story - not at all -for JESUS was coming back -and He did - and in the same way HE will return again soon and have His final after words!
JESUS lived - JESUS died - JESUS lives!

He Came Back

Luke 24:39
Behold My hands and my feet, that it is I Myself: handle Me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see Me have.

The good news of the Gospel is that JESUS came back from the dead - HE came back from what seemed hopeless- as Jesus walked on the road with two men that did not know HE was Jesus - who found it odd that Jesus seemed not to know of the events of the past couple of days - and how this day was the day Jesus was to rise from the dead - they walked with Jesus but did not know it was Him - that is until He broke bread with them - Jesus reveals Himself to us if we chose to focus on Him - the thing about this meeting was that when they found out this was Jesus He vanished - He was gone - He had other people that needed to see Him alive - these men even remarked when the found the truth -that didn't their hearts burn within them - the same is true of us - doesn't the though of Jesus leaving the grave alive change your perspective on things in this life -He came back - just as He said He would - and in the same way He will return again to take His people home - the day is coming when we will be with God forever- so don't let the problems -circumstances and pain of this life hold you back from what God has for you - I know many people who hurt day in and day out - but yet continue to praise GOD and live lives to please Him!
Remember JESUS is coming back soon - He never makes a promise He cannot keep -are you ready? are you waiting for Him? HE is coming soon! Praise be to HIS mighty name!

Breathe On Us

John 20:22
...And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said unto them, Receive the Holy Ghost!

When Jesus arose on the third day - He was seem by as many as 500 people - many scholars who don't know Christ often say that there was drugs or something that caused them to see Jesus - some have said the sorrow was so great they just thought they saw Him - but many were willing to die for Him because they had seen Him alive and had experienced the power of His resurrection - Jesus came into the room that the disciples where in and breathed on them and said for them to receive the Holy Spirit- this was before Pentecost had taken place - the source of all life is JESUS - HE made all things -He has no beginning and He will have no end - everything Jesus did was on purpose -nothing haphazard in His life - and now before HE was to return to His Father there was still some work to be done -without God's Spirit - none of us can do anything for God - not that He needs us - but that HE wants to use us - if we try and do it in our power it will fail and won't bring God the glory He desires or deserves - we must have God's Spirit within the walls of our temple in order to witness to His truth - His love and His power -allow God to breathe on you today - you will never ever be the same! Praise be to HIS name!

Do you see HIM?

Mark 16:14
Afterward He appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with thier unbelief and hardness of heart , because they did not believe them which had seen Him after He was risen!

One of the hardest things to do is get someone else to see something you see - one example from my life was last night - me and my brother-in-law Michael went to this concert and he wanted to meet one of the artists - we had to leave before we could but I got to see them while Michael missed them completely - I could see them clearly - but he could not - and yet we were both in the same place- the same can be said of spirutal things- in our walk with Christ many times we see JESUS clearly -while others don't see Him at all - Jesus had just risen from the dead and many began to say He had risen from the grave and with such good news many doubted it to be ture -what would we do had we been in their shoes -we have the full story - they were in the story as it unfolded - many had seen Jesus die and common sence says when you die -you are gone and you are not coming back -but Jesus always challanged that notion -raising Lazeras from the dead and also the grave of the siants that had gone home were opened -
death is not the end my friend! Today we also can see Jesus in the lives of those who live in faith - in faith that Christ is who He said He was and that HE is all we need - He alone can save us - but do you see Him? that is the question - He is alive and well - He is in His followers -we are HIS church and HiS bride - Do you see Jesus in your life of the lives of others around you - HE is there -but sometimes is very hard to see - take heart brethern - JESUS is alive -HE did rise from the dead and HE now lives in our hearts by faith!
Have you seen HIM? He is there! Believe this and live it!
footnote: Have you seen the wind? We cannot see it but only the effects of the wind - in the same way - we cannot "See" JESUS but we can see the effects He has on the lives of those around us!
Thanks to Billy Graham for inspiring this quote!

footnote message three

1st John 5:19
...And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness...
(Tomorrow's verse will be 1st John 3:4)

Today's verse talks about how different we (the Children of God) are from the world around us - or I should say we should be! The world around us continues to make its slide further and further away from the truth of God - and into the darkness of sin - sin abounds on this small blue and green planet - just look at the head lines and you will see the condition of the human heart - but we who know Christ belong to God not the world - He has saved us - and brought us - and made us His own! Now everyone born belongs to God -but its the will that He allows to either be in turn with His or not - God never forces us to follow Him - He never threatens us - but warns us of the consequences- God is holy and sin must be punished - so JESUS came and took it all away so we are free in Him! The world around us denies God - I can dare say that most workplaces in America have many who deny Christ day after day - the United States is not a Christian nation any more -we are not the majority any more -that's so sad - to know that those around us are dying daily without Christ -we are in the world but not of the world -the time is now to shout the name of JESUS to the lost and dying world around us - I can see God moving - someone I work with is going on a Mission Trip to NY City - and if the LORD allows me to - I am planning to go to Baja Mexico with my step Mom Kathleen in June- whatever we can do to bring Christ to the lost- must be our life - we belong to JESUS now -not the world - pray for those who are lost- who have walked away from their faith and those being killed for the faith in JESUS CHRIST-The world around us is full of evil but the God we serve is all good!

a side note: God is more good then the world is bad!
In CHRIST we bring hope to the world around us!

footnote message 2

John 17:5
...and now , O Father, glorify Me with Your own self with the glory which I had with You before the world was. (Tomorrow's verse will be 1st John 5:19)

Today's verse leaps from yesterdays in an amazing way! Jesus has always been - as I pointed out yesterday - there was never a time when Jesus was not there- HE is outside of time - He sees the past and present at the same time -take comfort in that -He knows how all this is gonna end - so no matter you circumstance today - tomorrow is in God's hands - He already knows the plans He has for you - right now - even though those plans have yet unfolded - Jesus asked the Father to bring His glory down - so that those around Jesus would know that He was in fact the aonoited One - the One who would lay down His life for His children- Jesus was God in the flesh - ive heard some kids say that Jesus was God with skin on - this is the truth - and while He was God - He also limited His ablity - or else He could not have died or be tempted - He was all man but also all God - just think about that for a moment -God of all came down into the creation He created and then died the death we all should have died and rose again!
During this season of Easter - lets remember how much it cost to save us! How much it took to take the sting of death - the death that our sin caused - we don't have to sin - that's true but we do sin - daily -moment by moment- all of us fall short of His glory!
Jesus has always been - and always will be! He is undefeated - and He never will lose even one battle or one person - its all in HIS hands!
Trust in the One who came and laid HIS life down - the Lamb of God!

a side note: If you have seen JESUS - you have seen GOD!
In CHRIST we see GOD the FATHER!

footnote message 1

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God and the Word was God.
(Tomorrow's verse will be John 17:5)

Today begins the series called footnote messages. This is where I pick a verse and then follow the trail that is the Word of God - I pray that this will increase the knowledge we have of God's word - and we can follow the path set before us... enjoy

Today's verse begins with the beginning - John says that in the beginning was the Word- and equates the Word to being God - Jesus has been called the Word made flesh - He came as a servant though He was equal to God the Father - our finite minds just cannot seem to wrap themselves around such a statement - but The WORD became flesh and dwelt among us - it was not enough for the Word to just because flesh - Jesus had to live amongst us - He had to suffer like we do with growing pains - and the effects of sin - though not HIS own since He never once sinned - our Savior lives because He is God! HE came to this small world to die for the sins of His very creation -as we move into Holy Week next week- lets go back to the beginning - where it all began - with JESUS the CHRIST - His existence did not begin over 2000 years ago -but it was eons forever ago - He has no beginning and He will have no end - from the beginning to the end HE is GOD!
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us - the reason -for Love-
He came because HE loves us and wants us to be reunited with Himself!
Thank YOU JESUS for coming to this world and laying your life done for us! Thank YOU!

a side note: If you want to know JESUS - start at the beginning!
In CHRIST we see the WORD become flesh!

NOT FORSAKEN<><

HE IS OUR HELP<><

Psalm 27:9
Hide not Your face from me; put not
Your servant away in anger:
You have been my help; leave me not,
neither forsake me, O God of my salvation!

Many of you have heard the saying that when God is all you have - He is all you have! This is so very true - we all need to come to the place where just having God is enough - He can be enough - unfortunately we all seem to look other places for our happiness and satisfaction and many times we do selfish things to get our way - thinking this will make us happy when we can do whatever we want- but God did not make us that way - He wants us to depend on Him for everything - He wants to be your help - many times God is the last place we see to go when we have trouble in our lives- we seem to look other placed first and use God has a last resort - we need not do this -we must acknowledge our need for God - there are many I know who have much money and feel they don't need this JESUS for anything - after all they feel they have all they need in the here and now - but sadly all that will one day pass us all by - I have been learning through the trials of my life -how much I have held on to my possessions - and thought they would make me happy - but they always leave you wanting more -when you get a little jingle in your pocket -and you buy what you want - you must by more to stay on track in your happiness -this moves right to relationships - many want the easy way out -that's what the whole thing about not getting married by living together -this makes it so easy to leave- but sadly even being committed to marriage is not a guarantee - if we place our trust in anything other then God alone -we will never be at peace -we must give HIM all we have - and seek HIM for our help - when we think we can do it on our own -that's when pride gets in the way and satan takes our hand and leads us astray -keep your eyes on where our help comes from - Jesus alone! HE is our help!

a side note: Without GOD we can do nothing-says John 15:5.....
In CHRIST we have all the help we will ever need!

SEEK HIS FACE

Psalm 27:8
When You said, Seek you My face; my heart said unto You,
Your face, Lord, will I seek!

God calls His people to seek His face- many may not know what that means- but to me I believe it means we must do everything here and now in full focus of God - He knows all and sees all - despite what we might think -we cannot hide anything from Him - we cannot fool Him and we cannot outsmart Him! We can however seek His face -He has made Himself available to His people at all times -there is never a time when God is too busy to hear from His children - He loves to have sweet fellowship with us - He made us and longs for reconciliation - we must seek His face - He is waiting for us to come to Him with a humble heart of worship -however many of sometime only seek Him for the blessings He gives -we sometimes are not concerned with what He wants but only our needs and desires- it begins to become all about us - and that attitude is not from God - its not about us - its all about Him - when we live this brief life - we must continue to focus on our Lord Jesus - He is all we have and really all we need -the things of this world are passing us buy - I paid off a debt today - and I praise God for it! But as I sent in the check -I realized that all the money it took to pay it off does not matter now - for its gone - and how worthless the things of this world are compared to JESUS CHRIST - are you seeking HIS face? Are you living your life in full focus of Jesus? If you are not - today is the day you can do that for the first time or maybe you have tasted and saw that the Lord was good but for some reason walked away - today is your day - the day you come back to Jesus -the day you once again seek HIS face! Praise be to the LORD GOD! Seek His face and see His grace!

a side note: Seek the LORD while He is able to be found!
In CHRIST we see GOD'S face!

LIVIN IN THE WORD - WEDNESDAY - 3-05-08
WHAT ONE WORD WOULD DESCRIBE YOUR LIFE?

3/04/2008

3-4-08 DAILY BLUEPRINT: HEAR

Psalm 27:7
Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice:
have mercy also upon me, and answer me!

Prayer is a very important part of our relationship with God - He loves to hear from His children -its a special time of the day that we all need desperately - since Jesus is our example and He got away by Himself many times -we too need to do the same thing -if God's Son had to do it - we should pattern our lives after Him -this includes our prayer life-
I admit life gets very busy - right now I am changing jobs in a way - I am at the same place but in a different department -and I am trying to lean some new things- this puts much pressure on me - all of us have such pressure in our lives- but we all must get away from everything and every body and pray - I know many times it seems God is not hearing our prayers at all - things don't seem to change around us -the prodigal does not always come home -the poor don't always get homes and the sick are not always healed -but none of this means God is not hearing our prayers- its just His will is what is most important - not what we want - and from all we see - our limited view affects what we think should come to past - but God knows best- the Psalmist knows the pain of not thinking your prayers are being heard- many times we get very demanding in our prayers -wanting an answer when God wants to see us trust Him more -His purpose is much different then ours -comfort seems to rule our lives in the 21st Century - we don't want to do anything that seems painful -we want pleasure - but the truth is being a Christ follower is not an easy thing to do at all -we must surrender our will to God's will - so if it seems God is not hearing your prayers- continue praying -and have the faith to know He is listening - its just His purpose is more important then our particular wants. Hear us Lord!

a side note: Not our will - but GOD'S will be done!
In CHRIST GOD hears us!

3/03/08 LIFT UP YOUR HEAD

Psalm 27:6
And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in His tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord!

Worship has been called a sacrifice of praise! What an appropriate way to say it - We praise God not because our circumstances are ideal or that the we don't ever need for anything -we praise God because He is good - in this world you will have trouble Jesus warned His followers - and I don't know anyone right now that does not have some sort of trouble - the enemy is restless and he will do what he can to mess up our lives and kill our witness for Christ- the enemy of our souls has been called a lurking lion seeking whom he may devour -he will destroy everything in his path - and enjoy harming our relationship with Christ- but there is good news -what satan means for evil - God meant for good - God can use any and every circumstance for His glory! Sometimes we cannot see if for all the evil around us - but we must lift up our head - we must not allow the enemy or circumstances cause us to be downcast -we must keep our focus on Christ- no matter what things look like down here - He is in control and He has a plan - you can be assured of that!lets not allow the enemy to come in and steal our joy - but instead lets life up our heads to heaven because that is where our help will come from -its not here - its up there -its God Himself seated on the throne that matters- focus on Christ not your circumstances! Lift up your head!

a side note: In every bad situation -God has a good plan in mind!
In CHRIST we are no longer downcast!
