2-28-08 DAILY BLUEPRINT:
In Time Of Trouble
Psalm 27:5
For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me;
He shall set me up upon a rock!
A friend at church last week during our prayer meeting mentioned reading Psalm 27 - and I did and I was so moved I wanted to use it this week as the basis of the devotionals - as many of you know Ive been going through one of the hardest trials of my life - but I have to also tell you that God has me in His hands - He is hiding me from the enemy - He is making me bold and I am closer to Him then ever before -this time of testing is for His greater purpose - sometimes we think our comfort or our ease of life is most important - sometime we feel when things don't go our way that all is lost - I have been learning how to love all over again - I am learning how to love no matter what the circumstance- this is not easy - but its through the trials of life that we learn so much - its tough for the Lord to allow such things in our lives- much like it is hard for a parent to see their children going through trials - but no matter what if we are God's children -He will guide us safely home -He will hide us in His tabernacle - and when the time of trouble comes -we will be safe - sometimes the storms look worse from a distance - only later to find we were safe all along - when trouble comes into your life -remember God has a plan for it - HE will get you through it or take you home - its His call - no matter what -our faith will get stronger and we will rest more completely in the arms of JESUS!
a side note: JESUS SAID WE WOULD HAVE TROUBLES IN THIS LIFE!
Through CHRIST we are safe in the storms of life!

2-27-08 DAILY BLUEPRINT:
The One Thing
Psalm 27:4
One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.
What is the greatest desire of your life? For some it will be earn much money or win the lottery -for others its to be famous and still others want to play professional sports. Some of you want to be a success in the eyes of the world and there is nothing wrong with that - but God has a bigger and better goal in mind for us - He has a plan and a purpose for our lives- its there for us to take a hold of or we can just live our lives for ourselves and ignore what God has for us - the writer of Psalm 27 says that his one desire is to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of His life -to me this means he wants to never be far from his Lord - God walks with us every day in every way - He never leaves our side - He is with us in thick and thin - and He will never ever leave us - even when we have turned our back on Him and run the other way - what is the one thing that you desire? Is it a close and personal relationship with Christ? Is it walking in the Spirit at all times? Or is it simply dwelling in this brief life with God Almighty?
God has a purpose and we must pursue that purpose - we must remember God is in control and He allows what He allows for His glory and for His purpose - That one thing should be our lives goal - to praise and worship our Father and bring glory to His name -
What are you living for?
a side note: The life does not belong to us - but to God - how many times have we asked God what we should do with our lives - We need to remember its all HIS!
Through CHRIST we know the ONE who made it all!

Confidence
Psalm 27:3
Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me. In this will I be confident!
We serve a God who is confident I once heard the lead singer of a popular worship group say. This is true -we don't serve a God who has any fears - He fears nothing and no one -that's the God we serve - He knows that His will - shall be done -no matter how things look on this side- God has a plan and it will come to pass -we have nothing at all to fear - we need to have confidence that God is going to work it all out-
I have been seeking a certain position at work - I had originally began in this department but that was 13 years ago and now it seems God is opening the door wide - I admit I have fear of change - of moving to something else- I tend to get caught in various comfort zones - and I need to learn to let go and allow God to do the moving in my life - we should have confidence that God knows what He is doing - after all HE has been at it forever -we limited in what we can know about God - since we were not here at creation and also not here when Jesus walked the Earth -we must have faith - and faith is the opposite of fear- both cannot coexist together- just like light and darkness-
we must put out confidence in God and not in ourselves or others-
Lets trust the Lord no matter how things look - in the end His way will get completed! Lets have confidence in God at all times!
a side note: Who should be put our trust in? JESUS alone!

When the wicked come
Psalm 27:2
When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, come upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell!
Sometimes it seems like evil is winning -that those who follow Christ are the ones who are suffering while the world at large continues on the path of pleasing self and self alone - a world where self is on the throne - and God has been kicked out - Let's face it as God's children we are the targets of satan and those who have given their lives to him - these are the enemies of Christ - and of His people - but the good new is evil will never win -the end is coming soon for satan and all those who are used by him- the day will come when Christ returns and the evil will be forever cast into the lake of fire - but right now - those who wish to do us harm have to face God - God is in control and He will not let anything befall us unless its going to bring Him glory and show the world that He is real - whatever is happening right now in your life is by God's design - even the bad - for He knows what will come upon our lives - I see those who are used by satan every day - they want to destroy our faith -they like satan himself what to kill - steal and destroy. Either you are being used by God or by satan - here there is no middle ground - light and darkness cannot coexist in the same place - one will dispel the other -
Jesus says for us to love our enemies -to do good to them that wish us hard -the reason to me is - one day they will face God - its up to us to love them like Christ loves us - even if they never turn from their evil ways - we have done what we have been told to do - when the wicked come upon your life - lean on Christ and know that Vengeance belongs to God so its not in our hands - the wicked will fall - and fall hard -
Praise the LORD!
a side note: Whatever comes into your life has to allowed by God!

Whom Shall We Fear?
Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?
Fear is a subject I know much about - I have spent my life in fear of one thing or the other- I have a fear of severe weather -and were I live is full of that kind of weather each spring and fall - Its not something I concentrate on doing -it just comes naturally to me - I don't know about you - but many people have fear of many things- some fear the number 13 -others black cats - but whom shall we fear? The only one we should fear is GOD Himself - only He has the power to end our lives - only He has the power that we should fear -we should not fear the enemy of our soul -God is going to take care of him in due time - we don't need to fear death or where our next meal will come from - God has it all under control and many times He allows trials in our lives so we will trust Him more - we need to get to a place where fear no longer exists in our heart for the things of this world - we are not alone - God is with us and for us - He sent HIS Son to pay the price for sin - so whom do we have to fear? Many fear witnessing to others about our Great God - many are afraid of rejection and many are afraid what people will think if we are upfront and honest about our faith - do you have a spirit of fear? if you do - its not from the Lord -and fear and worry are sins - that's right -its just a lack of faith - I am point a finger at myself - I do have many fears but the Lord is delivering me from them all - I am more bold now to share my faith - less worried about what people think and more concerned about pleasing and praising God! Whom shall we fear?
a side note: Fear will keep us from doing our best for God -but fear placed in the right context will cause us to run to God and praise Him! We should only fear God!

2-20-08 DAILY BLUEPRINT:
Don't Play The Harlot
Jeremiah 3:1
They say, if a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he not return again to her? Shall not the land be greatly polluted? but you have played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to Me, says the Lord!
The Lord God Almighty does not share well with others! He does not want to share us with any other god but HIM! He loves us with a passionate love - He wants all of us - not just what we are willing to give Him - many times we have played the Harlot by our actions - trying to have enough of the world and enough of Him to make it through -we are either for the Lord or against Him - there is no middle ground in this issue. The nation of Israel played the Harlot when it kept leaving its first love and following others which were idols - anything that competes for our love for God is an idol - satan comes at us with many things just like he did to Jesus and will tempt us - he will give us what we want - however in the end it will destroy us - God on the other hand will always give us what we need -and HIS way is always the best way! Satan will come and offer a counterfeit - that at first may seem just what we need- but in the end it will destroy our very lives - are you sharing your relationship with God with anything or anyone else? There is room for only one God in our lives -for our GOD is a jealous God - He loves us enough to withhold those things that will harm us even when they seem good to our flesh - don't play the harlot - but instead be faithful with the Lord through thick and thin - when the circumstances of your life seem to be nothing but dead ends - God is faithful and HE always has a plan - we just need to fully surrender to Him -again He does not want to share us with anyone - His love is so great -that nothing else can compare - are you harloting your faith out to other gods? Or are you focused in your worship of GOD alone!?
Let's take an inventory of our hearts to see what the truth is!
a side note: We must give all we have to God to be truly HIS!

ARE YOU FAITHFUL TO JESUS OR ARE YOU SEEING SATAN BEHIND HIS BACK?
2-19-08 DAILY BLUEPRINT:
Naked
JOB 1:21
...And said naked came I out of my Mother's womb, and naked I shall return thither: the Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord...
Today we continue on the same theme of yesterday's devotional - the message is we cannot take anything we gain here with us - save for our salvation - and that has been given to us - we could not earn it - we could never be good enough to ever be right with God - we must go through Christ to be redeemed! Job was a righteous man in God's sight and yet had so many things taken from him - he suffered many trials in his life - of which it makes our lives look not quite as bad. Job said that God had blessed him even when things were being taken away - The Lord gives and the Lord can take away - we really are nothing apart from Him -we come into this world naked and we leave the same way - we cannot hold unto the things of this world and move on with Christ- we must surrender all -we must become naked from the things of this world - all that we obtain here is fleeting - it won't last no matter how well we care for it - our bodies will one day ware out - one day our minds may begin to fade away - but our Spirit will remain - Job knew that he really had nothing of his own - it all belonged to God - the same is true of us - all we have and call our own does not really even belong to us - it all belongs to God - We have nothing we were not given - and what we have will be taken away one day -we really are naked - but in CHRIST we ware the clothing of righteousness!
a side note: we leave the same way we came to this place, naked!

Ecclesiastes 5:15
We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty handed as the day we were born. We can't take our riches with us!
No matter you name - your age - your income - we all we face death one day - that is unless Jesus comes to take us home before that - if He does not - we will have to physically die - its just a matter of time - that may be a depressing thought -but its honest- the longer we live -the more people we know will leave this place -Just this past week one of my best friend's lost his Mother - she had some surgery and her body was too weak to fight to stay alive and she lost the battle - it was sad but to know that she is no longer in pain makes it a little better- with this example it just shows us none of us is guaranteed a tomorrow - or even another second for that matter. With these facts in my head - its funny to see what we work for -all we strive for - the possessions we have - the money we earn - its all going to be left here - not that having money or things is bad - but when its our whole life -its not enough, we must give our lives to something more - if its only to gain -we have missed the whole point - its not for our gain but to praise God with our lives - what do you have that was not given to us - many times we think we are entitled to what we have - that we want to play the game that if God loves us He will give us what we want - the truth of the matter is we all deserve to die in our sins - but praise the LORD that JESUS came and willing died for our sins to open heaven to us - Ive heard it said that you don't ever see a hoarse with a luggage rack -that's because we cannot take it with us - we come into the world with nothing and we will leave the same way - we are just passing through -what are you doing with your dash- the moments between our date of birth and our earthly death? Lets live every moment for our Savior and King!
a side note: All we have when we leave this place is our spirit - and its going one of two places - were are you reservations?

Hands
Ecclesiastes 2:11
...Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do; and behold all was vainty and vexation of spirit, and there as no profit under the sun!
Hands are an important part of the body - we do so much with our hands - we make things -we write things- we type things- we do much with them and often they are worn and calused from all the work we do with them - have you ever tried to do something without your hands? Its a trial and it often does not work right - our feet cannot do the work of our hands - and our mouth cannot either- they are all required. What we do with our hands is important but not as important as whos hands we are in - Do you only trust in what your hands can do- without leaning on the everlasting Arms of JESUS? The work of HIS hands is greater then any work we can ever do - when we feel we made ourselves the success we are and leave God out of it -we steal His glory - He made all you see - He gave you the talents you have - the family you have - it all came from His hands - our hands make things but in the end they are not everlasting -only what God makes will last forever- lets release our lives to God for He knows best how we are to live - He knows the ins and outs of life that we have no clue about - are you doing this all on your own or are you relying on His hands!?
a side note: Our hands can do great thing when they are in God's hands!

And now abides faith, hope, love, these three;
but greatest of these is love!
Today we celebrate Valentine's Day. As we think on love today - it should be said that of all - Love is greatest -Love is what binds us together in Christ- love was the motivation for Christ to come and die for us reconciling us back to the Father. Love is the language we are Christ followers should speak - I know you see the ads - you see the store displays - you see hearts - you see flowers - all that stuff will pass away but true love lasts forever -there is nothing that can take real true love away. Love is a mystery - just when you think you have it down - the rules change - Love is a great risk - if it were not it would not really be love - I know some of you may be alone today - but don't be down about that - God loves you and you can spend today in view of that love -this love is ever lasting -and while its hard when you don't have someone physically there to hold - hug - love and touch - but God knows what we need more then we do - so many you don't have a main squeeze - don't be blue turn your attention to God - God is love!

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places...
Last week I did a series on being ready for battle and the instruments God has given us to fight this battle. Today I want to go back one verse and talk about what the battle is all about. Its a battle not against flesh and blood but a spiritual battle - in which the enemy we fight cannot be seen with our fleshly eyes but only with our spiritual vision. I have seen the fight first hand with what ive been going through -some of you know what I am talking about - while others may not - but its a battle for the souls of men and women - its something we can never rest or tire of - God has given us the power in Him to fight this battle - I have seen people taken to the other side -fellow fighters that have given up the fight and given in to the evil of this world- this breaks the very heart of God and it should break our hearts -its a battle that we daily fight - moment by moment -the enemy is ready to take us all down one by one - he is cunning and knows just where to hit us - and if we think we are not even in battle he will take us. This enemy can only be defeated in the power of Christ though the Holy Spirit- its not a battle we can fight on our own - though many times we try - its a foe that will not give up easy - his mission is to take us out of the fight - to break us down and cause us to run from the fight - we must be willing to surrender all to JESUS and let HIM fight this battle - we simply don't have the strength on our own - lets trust the Lord -He will win every battle -He is undefeated - lets trust in our LORD the Strong Tower - the battle belongs to Him and He will empower us to fight the good fight of faith -remember this is not a battle of flesh and blood but of the spirit.
Lets serve in the battle for the souls of those around us -lets engage in this warfare - the battle rages on - are you ready?
a side note: Sorry I did not put out a devotional yesterday - I was fighting my cold again - I seem to be doing much better tonight - its a battle! Lets fight the battle with our hearts in line with JESUS - this is the only way we can win! amen!

We need not forget where the power to live the life comes from - God Himself - He has not asked any of us to do anything apart from Him and though many of us try - we cannot do what is pleasing to Him without living by HIS grace- We in our flesh do not have the power in and of ourselves but its God that works in us - He is the power behind the lifestyle we live to please Christ- in this I am not saying we live by some code of rules or by the law but by Christ Himself! The Holy Spirit in each believer enables us to live the life - The Spirit only reveals what is true - we can also see this at work in the Word of God - in the letters - the stories whether the new or old Testaments. God is at work all through His word and all throughout our lives -Jesus is not to be part of our lives but the whole. We must be so in love with Him that we cannot and don't want to do anything apart from Him ever again- its God that works in us to do HIS good pleasure - we cannot please God in our flesh and though so many of us try to do what we are told - the reason why we do what we do is of utmost importance -we can say the right things and look the part but if we don't really know JESUS then GOD cannot and will not work in our lives -lets not forget its God and not us that lives the life!
a side note: We should not take credit for what GOD does in our lives -we should always return the praise to HIM and HIM alone! amen!

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God!!!
Today we have the final tool we need to fight the good fight of faith - our cover - our Salvation - because of this the blood of Jesus has been applied to our lives - the enemy cannot have us - he can however mess with us and try and take us out - that's why we have the Word of God - Paul calls it our Sword of Faith - remember that satan used God's word to tempt Jesus - but Jesus turned right around and handed it back to him - it must be known that satan knows the word of God - but he will take it out of context to get his desired result - he is crafty -so don't go into battle with him on your own- you need God to do this - its not a physical battle but a spiritual one and while the world around us only sees the flesh -we must know this is not all there is. We will have battles in this life -we will have defeats but in the end God's victory will be ours. so strap on these tools so you can fight the good fight of faith - its all our war for the souls of men and women around the world- let's fight faithfully - lets never tire of doing good in the midst of evil....lets continue on in the midst of this world.....
God has our back! Amen!
a side note: We can never let our guard down - I have seen the enemy come -steal and destory - he is an emeny that will not go away - until the end that is - he will burn forever! Until then -fight the good fight of faith!

In the Spiritual world its nothing but a battle going on day and day out - a battle for the souls of man - some have gone their own way into their own desire leaving behind their faith- leaving themselves wide open for the darts of the enemy - without Christ we cannot stand - we cannot fight the good fight -we can do nothing at all. We must have the shield of faith - for it is our protection- a soldier does not go to battle without his armor -and neither should we - We have our faith that keeps us grounded in Christ- He guides us by His Spirit and gives us the tools we need to fight - lets never let our guard down because the enemy is like a lion wanting to devour our very faith -he wants to make us a joke and our faith of no value - if we feel we won't ever fall -we have to be honest- I have seen it happen - I have experienced what it means when someone walks away from their faith - they no longer have that intimate relationship with Christ all because they let their guard down - lets be careful and lets be watchful of what we are doing. The enemy wants us to be losers - but we are winners in Christ- victors! Amen!

When we come to know Christ- He should influence everything we do - every decision we make must come from our relationship with Christ. We must be prepared to preach the gospel in and out of season- our lives should preach the gospel - and it needs not be just a put on - if we allow Him He will flow out of our heart. His presence in us is greater then anything else- we must preach the gospel not so much with our mouths but our lifestyle - and it all must flow from our relationship. Its not ours apart from God - for He lives in us -and we cannot keep Him under wraps once we know Him - you can even try and hide Him but He cannot help but come out. I have been dealing with the hardest thing Ive ever had to deal with - its been on going -two months now - but God is proven faithful - He is coming to the surface of my life now - but I had to be broken - I had to be taken away from any and all comfort zones and its hard -the pain is real but at the same time - God is working it all out -and I just long for people to see CHRIST in me - I admit that He is not always seen in my life- many times He is hidden beneath all the troubles of this life -sometimes I don't put all my faith in Him - we are all the same - I don't claim to know all the answers just the One who knows them! Lets put on CHRIST so that the world can see what genuine faith is all about. Lets get dressed for success!

Stand therefore having your loins girt about the truth, and having the breastplate of righteousness!
The form of clothing during the time the Bible was written featured men with dress like clothing - in which they had to hike up in order to run - today's Word says we must girt our loins about the Truth -another words we must live in and live through the truth that Jesus is Lord. We also must put on the breastplate of righteousness. It must be noted we do not have this naturally - God must place it on us in HIS power- this power comes from God so we can fight the good fight of faith -and for some of you - you may not have thought about the battle that is taking place or will take place in your lives- no matter how mature you are in Christ you still have the flesh -the weakness we all have - that wants to pull us down -wants to limit what we can do - the object is to look at God and not ourselves- because we cannot do anything apart from our Lord. He should be in all of our lives -and when the trials of life come -we must remain strong in our faith -steadfast -not allowing anything to take us from our focus. We must keep our eyes on Christ and never look away -the moment we do we will fail - but in Christ we can do all things- so put on the breastplate of righteousness - that way you have a shield that will keep your faith safe and sound - never go into battle without your weapons. God wants to use you today -are you ready to fight? God will give us all we need to be successful!
Lets put on the armor of God today so we can stand strong in our faith - no matter the waves -the heights or the storms!

We are all in the battle for our very lives! When you become God's child - the enemy of your soul wants to take you out -he wants you to lose your faith and your heart for Christ- believe me - he will attack you - some feel if you do the right thing and follow Christ you will have no troubles at all -this goes against what Christ Himself said - that in this life you would have troubles- but the good news is HE has overcome this world and the evil one - He wants us to be dressed for Spiritual Success -He has given us the tools to fight the enemy -He has given us clothing that we must ware if we are to withstand the day of evil that is to come - in our of our lives -trouble will come -sooner or later- right now I know many who are in the battle of their lives -one very well -me - I am fighting a battle that is not of the flesh -but against satan himself - against his attacks - I will share some tonight that is very hard for me - but to get through it - I must be transparent - I must come out from behind the protection of this computer screen - I must admit some things - my marriage to with my wife is in big trouble -the enemy has come in and torn us part - our foundation has been cracked and choices have been made - we are in the battle of our lives but Christ has given us the clothes which we need to ware - but we must choice to ware it.
We cannot fight this on our in - in our own power and the battle is not ours - it belongs to the Lord -I am not sure how this will end up but God knows - He has given us the weapons to fight this fight - all of us are in the fight for our lives - the fight to stay on the right path -the clothing that Christ has given us in first brand new- second its eternal and everlasting -it will never end -don't let the enemy try to strip you of what God has given you -lets put on these clothes of righteousness that Christ paid for - that HE gave to us by giving His very life way on the cross - We have victory in Christ- no matter what our circumstances may say - God is in control- full control - lets get dressed so we can fight the good fight- lets keep the faith....lets ware it well!
a side note: Put on CHRIST - the new Man - let the old man is dead- throw out those old rags and put on the clothes of Righteousness!

Psalms 130:6
My soul waits for the LORD more then they that watch for the morning, I say more then they wait for the morning!
January 2008 is in the record books - already a month in a brand new year has passed by. This past month was one of the hardest of my life -and as I move into the future - I take with me what I have learned.
I have learned that only GOD is worth waiting for. If you are doing it for anyone else- it will not work. We must wait on the Lord for Him to reveal His plan in our lives- sometimes what He may allow may not make any sense at all - but if we wait on the Lord He will show us what He is doing - He won't reveal it all to us but just what He knows we need. He has a plan - never forget that - and just like after long night of storms or fear -that the first view of the sun in the morning - means that you have made it through -in the same way having the SON in your life means that even in the darkness night there is always light - many times we will suffer in this life- many times for doing right - but that's part of God's plan -while the world around us says do this or that now - God says wait -and HE knows best- we can however go ahead of God and make a big mess of things or we can follow Him as a helpless child that needs Him -that waits for Him - and wants to please Him!
Where is your perspective today? If its not on JESUS - change it!
And in the meantime watch and wait - for HE is coming -and coming soon! Are you ready!? What a glorious day that will be!

a side note: There is no moutain too high or river too deep - or field too wide to keep you away from God's will for your life- just watch and wait - He is coming soon!
Through CHRIST the watching and waiting become easier!

Whenever Possible
Romans 12:18
If it be possible, as much as lies with you, live peaceably with all men!
In the New Testament writings of Paul - he reveals the secret to living right... in today's verse Paul says that if it is possible - live in peace with others...with all men -we all have the power once when know Christ to live like Paul says to live -and if we are really God's - it will happen naturally - as long as we stay in the new man! But Paul also makes note that sometimes its not possible - sometimes people don't want peace but trouble -and sometimes we can try with all our might to get along with someone but it just does not seem to happen...with the current circumstance I find myself in - I must take these words from Paul to heart - I don't like what has been done to me - I don't like the fact that the pain is still with me - and I want to get back at those who hurt me - but I know in CHRIST that's not what I need to do - I need to love them as Christ loves me - I need to lift them up daily in prayer -this all goes against the grain of our human nature. its not natural for the old man - but it follows from the Spirit that resides in us - once we have HIS life within us - it gets easier and easier to live for Him. We must not seek revenge - but give God the space to work on their hearts - God knows all and sees all - and He allows what HE allows for His purpose- you cannot go wrong with trying to live in peace with others- after all JESUS showed us how to do it and give us the ability to do it! Lets love other no matter what they do to us!
a side note: If we view those who sin against us as our enemies - we need to view it from God's perspective - none of us deserve the breath He has given us..lets live lives of forgiveness... amen!
in CHRIST we can live in peace with others!
